This is awesome! I'm glad I did a quick search before buying a new set for my 4 year old who is getting into golf!

Careful putting a grip on that way. Always put the club in a vise and push AWAY from yourself. You don't want that air needle pumping air into YOU.

I agree, that would be a bad day.

I agree, and the swing weight won't be right. If they progress to the point where that matters it would make send to buy junior clubs. My daughter is now close to needing/wanting a regular women's set.

it's gonging to be stiffer and heavier swing weight. But this can be a good thing for kids.
We adults train on heavier swing weight clubs (speedo for example) to understand using body not arms to swing, also more awareness of where the club head is (when the head feels exaggeratingly heavy). That's the reason why many older golfers when they started golfing in later ages, they never get it right since their arms are too strong and their clubs are too light comparing to their body weight, they always tend to use their arms too much and never can synchronize body to their arms (but once you only swing with one arm, you get it right).
Yes, stiffer shafts make your distance shorter but that doesn't matter for a kid to start. The starter should always prioritize to have a clean contact (covering the ball, contact ball first then turf and make a beautiful divots). Sadly too many golfers don't even make this right after playing years of golf.
I believe: a heavier club (as well as heavier swing weight club), stiffer shaft, a thin profile (blade) club will ultimately help you to have the correct swing and a good ball striker (try a hickory club, can be frustrating since you are making too many mistakes in the beginning). And start at young age, young enough that your arms cannot even handle the weight of the club.
The worst scenario is having a strong built middle-aged man with light whippy shafts, chunky head clubs to learn golf. He will never feel the need to use his body, never feel where he hits the ball (since the head is so chunky and forgiving it all feels the same for starter), and he can never be a good ball striker.
The only point is to check the lie angle (but for a starter it's not very important, it only matters once you are a good ball striker).
