You inspire me so much!! And I hope to play guqin as well as you someday!! 💞
Great inspiration for me...I'm ordering one for myself today.
Thing is I'm getting old and my finger joints suffer pain so I could no longer able to play tunes on guitar, I also used to play the clarinet but various allergies and after getting covid I seem to have weak lungs to have any care for wind instruments.
Fortunately I discovered than guqin is not so physically demanding and gentle for the soul. I'll be spending the next several decades of my lifetime enjoying this instrument.
That's amazing! Congratulations on being weird and stubborn enough to learn to play such an obscure instrument all by yourself. I have to say I've been thinking of getting myself a guqin for a while, but never seriously - it is difficult to learn without a teacher, and I don't see many tutorials online. But perhaps, if you'd be willing to fill that void and make some guqin tutorials - both technique and repertoire, I might give it a try ;)
i'm not from china but i like the historical instrument 'guqin', i also once desired to get to play it the way it's supposed to. the video you shared is an inspiration and an hard adventure. i've heard from a chinese person online there were originally 5 strings in guqin to heal five main organs, heart, liver, kidney, lungs and spleen and that there's a saying later 2 strings are added by a king in the remembrance in his passed son and one is added by a son in the memories of his probably passed father. and one last thing that the person said they often mention the 4 skills :
1. 琴- qin - guqin, 2 - qi - go game, 3 书- shu - calligraphy and 4 画- hua - drawing.
Great effort. Yet i do recommend to get some consultation with a professional for some fundamental techniques including how to pluck, slurs, and interpretation.
You learned to play like this in two years without a teacher? That’s incredible! I hope that I can learn to play the Gǔqín and maybe the Xiāo someday and make recordings with both of them but I’m not sure if I’ll have enough time to do that.
oh my good, you are the only one who inspire us about this instrument, thanks so much and i appreciate what you have done! i would try hard to be like you, finnally after many day long i have find someone who gave me motivation to learn guqin
You are adorable! Admire your passion and dedication to guqin, keep it up and look forward to seeing your advancement. I feel a little shameful of myself being Chinese but haven’t made up my mind to learn guqin 😅
i absolutely amazed by your commitment and perseverance! how inspiring
This has rekindled my desire to teach myself to play my Guqin. I commend your efforts & determination! Thank you! Keep it up!!
Your progress is amazing.Keep it up! And you probably know 3 languages as well which is awesome!
It's amazing for ur learning ability, great job!
You are really amazing ! 😊 I always wanted play some instrument. But I work 10 hours daily, so I don't have time and I'm also much much older than you're. But I was really inspired by your story ❤❤
You are amazing and inspiring 🥹 I admire your perseverance. It's too easy to just procrastinate and quit, but clearly you didn't. ♥️
Self - taught ! Wow you are so talented ! I am amazed by how well you can Guqin ! This is so inspiring. Can’t wait to see new video.
Nice, one day I'll be here too!!!
natural talent and hard work at its best! hope you make tutorials or classes for beginners one day you're so inspiring
Only 2 years! Definitely you are talented! I have been learning guqin without a teacher about 11 years. But you play better than me!
Great work! Learning Guqin is very hard for most of us, learning Guqin by oneself alone is extremely hard.. Still suggest you to find a good teacher or community. Guqin, tea, poem, life, all internally connected. We have some very good Guqin communities in Vancouver, Canada.
Hello! By chance I came across your comment here. My dream has always been to learn how to play guqin but I couldn't find any guqin teachers here in Vancouver, Canada.
You wrote that there is a big guqin community in Vancouver. Could you please tell me more about it and if it possible to find a guqin teacher here in Vancouver? Thank you so much.
Very inspiring!
Very nice, wonderful you've found your instrument!
Keep it up!
Good job
Super

妳太厲害了
Beautiful sound!
I’m start learning Guqin 3 days ago 😂
Go ahead! I believe in you
❤❤❤
Great video you shared. Great inspiration. This is my first week and just got my first guqin (second one came today do not ask do not tell ok) and my first song is from Swordsman - the one which does not use left hand at at all! (BTW, my teacher kept on force me doing this circle to flat movement using right index figure. I noted you started with just using it then push it using thumb and now ... I guessed I should not mad with my teacher then.)
❤👏🏻
Your progress is so amazing! Do you have tips for someone just starting out? 😊
Admirably! Hopefully I'll learn how to play something someday! Chinese instruments sound amazing! I apologize for the mistakes, I use a translator. Hee-hee
Thanks. I can share some materials about guqin, all what I have, guqin isn't so hard. I don't speak English good, but I try))
@@persivalkaYour English is amazing! What’s your first language?
@@valentinaembers5713 From the nickname and her general appearance, I would guess Persivalka is a Czech girl 😊 No confirmation on this, but I have a hunch. Her use of English gives me the notion as well, small details, but quite telling to another Czech. And all Czechs are musicians in their hearts, or so we say.
You are AMAZING!!! ❤
Which music books u bought?
You are an inspiration, Persivalka❤. On average, how long do you practice daily?
Hey u play rly nice :D ! Also i have a question i saw at the month 2 clip a book where u learn the instrument and im curious where to get that since i would like to learn it my self and i try to eat up as much information as possible atm
Like 300❤
Hello! I am in love with the sound of guqin but i don’t know any good brands to get a guqin and some music sheets, i would like to know which brands are best for a beginner.
Hi ! I will soon have my very first guqin and I am trying to find good tips to learn hos to play. I will try to self learn as well, so I was wondering if you could tell me where did you learn the mouvements and notations of the music sheet to help me 👉👈 How you evolved on your own is really amazing, I wish I will be able to do the same ^-^
Hi! I started with green manual of Li Xiangting (chinese), but later found better resources for non-chinese speakers, for example, "Guqin. Easy steps to chinese music" and "Standards of the guqin" from Juni Yeung, both are in English. In the internet I used peiyouqin web page to watch techniques.
Now I do notation by my own for all I hear in TH-cam and Bilibili (chinese youtube), so I have scores for various doramas for guqin. I didn't share it, I don't know how
@@persivalka Thank you so much !!!
I've been wanting a guqin for a long time. What is the book you're playing from?
Your progress is so amazing! Would you plaease share some materials about guqin ? And I'm also interested in your new guqin Luo Xia, Did you also buy it online? Can I have the link? Thanks for your sharing❤
materials : video? books? thank you🙏
Congratulations! What notions are you using? How did you get introduced to the instrument?
I'm very interested in learning Guqin.
It's amazing your progress. Could you share the resources you used to learn?
I just found in another comment. Thanks!
2:41 New discovery: the instrument sounds better when you wear traditional clothing!
Exactly!)
Do you use your nails to pluck? I’m wondering if I need long nails to play guqin
So good, 🎉May I ask the website to buy guqin? What is the price of the Second “luo xia”?
Luo Xia is from Aliexpress, the brand is Seven Angels, the price was about 400$ some years ago
Do you have any advice for being self taught, i am struggling 😅 i am also unsure on where to even start.
I used a manual book that was with the guqin I bought. And I used a photo translator, like Yandex translator. But I know two books in english: "Standards of the guqin", but it's complicated, and "Easy steps to chinese music: guqin"
@@persivalkaI had no clue the second book was in English as well! I regret not buying it. Oh well. Thank you for sharing the information though. 😊
Where do you get the musicval scores from ? I would like to get some - as I have recently bought a guqin.
Classical pieces I learn from books, and covers I just repeat by ear and write it
May I ask you , Where did you order it from ?!
I'm thinking of learning it too..
"Sound of mountain" the first, AliExpress "SevenAngel" brand the second
@@persivalka Thank you dear 😊
How did you play Xiaobaicai on your first day without being able to read music/Chinese?
It's was the first melody-like exercise in Li Xiangting green book, exercise number 11, not too far from start. And I spent 12 hours to learn in the first day
for 2 years you have been playing on a shaky table?
She must know basic Chinese language to learn play gu qin
Good. Will be better to find a teacher. Playing hundreds or thousands of songs and catchy melody could be nothing at some point. Everyone can do that by reading and following the sheet music. How to interpret the song is more important. Otherwise, just copying from others in yourube and playing "their" songs
find a teacher for discussion ... you will perform even better ... still plenty of room for improvement. e.g. fingering forms
