I don't think you meant to harm the cute deer fawn but if as you assumed that it was hit by something (vehicle, another animal, maybe fell on hard surface, etc.) maybe you shouldn't have tapped/petted it's back/body.
It sounded like it was feeling some pain, or discomfort and maybe couldn't walk well at that moment.
I mean if any of us humans were injured whether hit by a car or whatever, pretty sure none of us would want someone touching us where it hurts. Just saying. Take it to a vet for their professional opinion & nurse it back to health before sending it on it's way... Nice of you trying to help however.

That is about the stupidest baby deer video I've ever seen.
Dude expects the thing to jump up and head off into the forest at the sound of English words.
Dude keeps noting how gnarly the head injury is, whilst sticking his finger into it every time, causing the fawn obvious pain.
Fawn is seizing, not stretching, and he continues telling it what to do, like it's gonna understand and just magically heal from it's rather serious head injury in 2 seconds. Unbelievable. The levels of human stupidity always amaze me.

You men were very gentle, sweet, and caring with the injured fawn.
However it should be carefully considered that human scent on a new fawn will reduce the likelihood that the mother will accept her once again. Touching a new fawn with bare hands is not recommended as it will cause the mother to detect human scent and increase the likelihood she will reject her offspring.
It’s not my intention to criticize as your intentions were obviously altruistic and pure, just suggesting that touching a fawn should be avoided at nearly all costs, unless the mother is observed to be deceased and the animal is being taken to a proper wildlife rehabilitator.
    Great job gentlemen otherwise!

    • @BoxinaGarage

Here’s the deal with scent. A mother will smell the human on its child. She won’t abandon it because of this though. Also, other whitetail deer mothers will take on nursing other fawns. So even if you found a deceased mother. The fawn has a chance to find another group to join. Leave the deer in the woods. Same with birds. Leave them in their nests. But if one that is underdeveloped has fallen out. It’s okay to put it back. Stay educated people

    • @Yinzzy656

While you should limit the touching of a fawn, this is 100% a myth. A simple search will show you that.

This is a fact: No deer mother takes back a young animal that has been touched by a human and whose smell carries on itself... for example, it would have had to be wrapped in a blanket or straw and transported to the forest - without touching it directly. Nevertheless, you certainly meant well with the baby deer :-)

Though not touching it is better since it won't get human scent on it which will potentially attract predators.

I can vouch for the scent thing. I once offered a peanut to a squirrel, but prior to that my hands feed ducks those pellets. Well the squirrel rejected the peanut because it smelled duck feed. It was not until I insisted to the squirrel that it was indeed a peanut that I was offering it

    • @BoxinaGarage
      @BoxinaGarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Exactly. We should respect God’s creation, and be grateful that he has made the animals available to us for work, comfort, and food. For while we are in the world we must toil and work. Thankfully he gave us many helpers. One day Jesus will return and what a glorious day will that be. He will come to take away the wickedness, danger, and death that has pervaded the world through sin. Then we will finally be able to live as God intended. No more death. For us or the animals. For we will be new creatures in the new creation.
I pray that you come to worship the creator. Not the creation. Not science. Not the animals. Not the rocks. Not me. Not yourself. But Jesus Alone. Jesus who is one with the father, who is one with the spirit. God bless you. In Jesus name.
