You would have to then believe that Jesus is a liar, for he said that he is the son of God and that he is one with God. How can a man be both prophet and a liar? I totally agree with the first sentence of you comment brother, but Christ calls us to start that relationship with him before we do works such as fasting. The repentant thief on the cross didn’t have the opportunity to fast for 3 days. Start your relationship with Jesus today! Let him save you by Grace Alone. All I have to offer God is my devotion to Jesus. No action performed by a sinful man is good enough for a perfect God. Fortunately for us, God became a perfect man, and a perfect sacrifice for our sake. It is good to fast, pray, read scripture, fellowship with brethren, and evangelize out of appreciation of what Christ has already done for us already, but we must not be proud in ourselves, and trick ourselves into believing that there is any sacrifice that we can make to earn salvation. Only the sacrifice of Christ is enough. Believe and Follow Jesus Today.

@Holyg33 None are divine but God. Perhaps in heaven when we have been given new bodies, we may then be able to live perfect lives, but we will still be men. And God will still be God. Forever and always. I read my Bible every day. I have yet to see anything that says we can be divine while living in this body. We can be healed, we can be forgiven, with the help of God we can even shed off the burdens of our sins, but even when we are with God, God will still be above us, and we will worship none but the one true God, The God of Hosts. Please let go of the notion that you can be good in yourself. The only way to any kind of righteousness is by receiving it from the Holy Spirit, also God.

I would recommend reading the book of Job. Job did nothing to get the bad things that he didn’t deserve, and yet he still maintains his faith in God. He maintains faith that God is totally in control. Even though his friends try to tell him that he must have done something to anger God. God does not promise an easy life following him. Jesus says that we will see much strife in our lives here in this fallen world, but even then, even when everything has fallen apart. I pray the lord keeps me. For if I am left alone I will fall, for I am weak but he is strong, and with him, anything he calls me to do is possible.

Yeah, Jesus had to step in and become the ultimate sacrifice to himself to appease himself to remove a curse place upon us at birth by himself, all because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree... How is that not proof that God isn't as all powerful as the book claims?

So if Jesus, who is God in the flesh, is the only one that can save us, what other power matters?

I’m pretty sure it was still good. I ended up finding that my EGR had blown a hole in it near the fire wall and the heat was wrecking my Ignition Control Module on my distributor.

I only matted from the back of the front seats back to the tailgate and just that made a big difference. I’m sure if I had done the whole thing it would be even better. I’m impressed with the stuff for the price.

Exactly. We should respect God’s creation, and be grateful that he has made the animals available to us for work, comfort, and food. For while we are in the world we must toil and work. Thankfully he gave us many helpers. One day Jesus will return and what a glorious day will that be. He will come to take away the wickedness, danger, and death that has pervaded the world through sin. Then we will finally be able to live as God intended. No more death. For us or the animals. For we will be new creatures in the new creation. I pray that you come to worship the creator. Not the creation. Not science. Not the animals. Not the rocks. Not me. Not yourself. But Jesus Alone.
