    I know this is very random but your voice literally calmed me out of a panic attack. I recently lost my mom to cancer & i am having trouble sleeping its 530 am & i just broke down mentally, so i am watching videos of Hawaii because its where i plan to go in april. Anyways, your voice really calmed me & that doesn't happen often. Just wanted to say thanks.

      @@suitesandlobbies I was going to stay there in a guest room that is 200 as. Feet...sounds Very small...did the room feel small? Do you know the as. Feet of your room?

      @@robinwilliams9439 The room I stayed in was indeed small. I would look at it as a place to sleep, clean up, and then head out. It is an older hotel and comes with its usual challenges of wear and tear. However the staff, location, and just overall laid back feel is what makes this a favorite for those who are out and about. I think this is really a hidden gem in Waikiki for those looking to keep cost down. Not sure if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member but it has the lowest redemption cost and if you have the 35k certificate it is the only hotel that sometime drops to this amount on Oahu. I know you can add points now to the cert. but this is the only one that straight up hits 35k.

    Stayed at this hotel for one week in December 2019 right before Covid started. Nice memories, can't wait to go back to Hawaii

    Thank you for sharing your trip there to paradise.. The beach there on this day was not crowded with a lot of people. Yes, the pandemic was going on then and still now today but people are not fully there like before the pandemic a few years ago. Your hotel room was really nice with you east view of the city and Diamond Head.
    Again, thank you for sharing life in paradise in Hawaii.

    Great video! Was this in first or second half Ocotber? Planning to go 1st week of October and I'm hoping the places aren't too crowded. Have you made a video of the Moana?

      Towards the end of October and that is definitely off peak season. Keep an eye on the Japanese market, when things open up I have a feeling they will be flooding Waikiki. I have made Moana Surfrider yet but it is on my list, by end of the year for sure. Thanks!

    Trying to decide if I should stay at the Laylow or Princess. $545 more expensive to stay at the Laylow. They are on the same block! Whatcha think?
    Also, which tower did you stay in? Which room numbers would you recommend for best view of beach?

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. A couple of thoughts...If I were spending most of my time out of the hotel I would take the $545 savings and spend it on activities and dining. The Princess Kaiulani is much closer to Waikiki Beach as well. I also know that you can can charge to your room when dining at the Moana Surfrider, or Sheraton Waikiki when staying at the Princess Kaiulani, I am not sure if staying at the Laylow. If you plan on doing a beach day you can also rent a chair and towels for free from the Princess Kaiulani. Either way you will be in a good spot, hope you have a great stay!

    What room is this? A Tower Ocean King?

      @suitesandlobbies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the Ainahu tower with a 2 bed partial ocean view. I recommend getting the Ainahu tower if you can.

    Stayed several times and going again, my only concern is the laundry room. It is cheap, dirty and small. Otherwise love it. 🤷

    Honestly, I cannot decide if I want to pay big $ and stay at the Moana. Or stay here as it is central as well.

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A dilemma shared by many I think. If you are going to be out and about most of the time and just want a place to rest and recharge it may be the best bet, spend the money you save on all the delicious food and attractions. I have stayed at the Moana also, pre-pandemic, the location is truly a destination with very rich history. The breakfast buffet top shelf and cocktails under the tree while watching the sunset, memories. I know I didnt help, lol. Either way you win. :)
