When I landed in Sydney the customs official said to me " Where have you come from?" I said "England", he said "Do you have a criminal record?" I replied " I didn't realise it was still necessary!" .

Ben and Bald just did some traveling together and posted videos of their shared experience (respectively, each has their own videos) and they are in fact, totally different. Obviously, same places, traveling together, but the demeanor and energy is wildly different. IMO
Not saying one is better than the other, but just to let the person who asked how Ben's videos are different, there is an excellent example.
I also enjoy watching 2 people try to shoot a video in the same spot. You guys must have God level patience with each other.

Very cool video! I am always interested in the “behind the scene” stuff. Would be great to understand how do you practically make a video (like do you have a script, how do you plan your shots, editing etc). Anyway Egypt…cannot agree more..my gosh..worst country ever visited

To create memories and to look back 20-30 years later, and to see all I've done, and to show my kids and grandkids, is also why I started making TH-cam videos. I'm only on vlog #1, in Mexico City, but I hope to have many more!

I have watched several of your videos over the last few months and have found your approach refreshing. Frankly I am tired of the "this is a wonderful place" type content and look for balance and more unusual content. By unusual I mean not the big sights but more the quirks reality of a city as observed from the equivalent of a local coffee shop or better still the back of a motorbike
Heading back to Bangladesh and India probably in the next few months. I'll enjoy watching your videos from these places as I work on my plans.

Nice video . Thanks to Mr. Bald . Remembering Mr. Bald traveling with Harold in India and always try to catch anybody traveling . The honesty and keeping it real is a plus . I don't know about groups traveling , people tend to be a real pain in the???? . Baby sitting people will wear thin very quickly . In my miss-spent youth at 19 in 1971 I went with a group of around 300 people to Hawaii . It did cure me of ever doing that again . The Travel Agency stay at Penthouse Suite along with the celebrity . Yes six buses was needed to transport us from one area to the next . If I was Ben I would hook up with some Rich Indian friend and go from there . The Import and Export with India coming along with China to be the countries of the future . Started watching your videos recently very refreshing to a lot of the other travel content on TH-cam as someone myself who has traveled 5 Continents a lot of what is presented isn't always the reality. Also nice to see another English person who has visited Tirana although not as developed as other balkan cities or Greece for example maybe that's the charm as for the moment it is somewhat authentic. Had the same feeling when first visiting Thailand/Vietnam on a trip with Vietnam being less developed and actually retaining a genuine non tourist character.

I once went to Plymouth with a friend from London whose parents lived there. We had a great Saturday night out, but it was so long ago that I can't remember where. 🤣
Yep, Indian food is the best, I fully agree. On a trekking trip we had a cook with two pots and a prima stove alongside us, the food he cooked up was unbelievably good.
plymouth is great in the summer! and yessss India is king for food

Hope she shows you Portugal soon as there are quite a few of us looking to retire someplace interesting (I'm Catholic so that is a big draw, plus the cost of living seems to be less than the US). Ben first of all great videos. I can resonate with you, having travelled to over 100 countries prior to TH-cam coming mainstream. Love watching your adventures and reliving those places you have visited. My question is how do u pay for hotels train tickets food etc. Are u using a global credit card? Anything you recommend to save on charges to finance the everyday expenses. Cheers Noel

My biggest question is how do you afford the travel? On top of rent at your home spot and just the basic cost of life, seems like you would need to be working something really regular save for a long time then go or something… trying to figure it out for myself

I tried to start my own Ben. Got all the gear, gopro, gadgets, tripods, night vision etc... I went to Jordan to try it out and its so not like I thought it was. Was thinking it would be all glam and it's not. It's hard graft trying to get decent content so hats off to you.
I also sacked it cos I wanted to be in moment and not experience countries through a lens. So fair play. Its tough work
P.S. I've a spare gopro there if you want it 🤣🤣

I agree it’s not easy being a TH-camr. People think it’s a doddle. In fact it is hard work and the editing process is a bore. Also you’re not going to get money straight away from TH-cam when you first start TH-cam videos unless you are some big celebrity and even they would pay people to film and edit rather than do it themselves anyway.

Hello. I love travelling but after i got a family i have to get the urge out in a less "comprehensive" way. So i started a goal of visiting every country in Europe in the matter of 5 years. In that way I can easier travel in a shorter span of time each time i go. I have 16 left out of 46. I was hoping you would go to some random european countries as well and we could meet up. @@duppern Difficult to go to Ukraine at the moment but you can take the train from neighbouring countries of Ukraine 🇺🇦 except of course for Russia 🇷🇺 and Belarus 🇧🇾 to go towards Ukraine. No aeroplanes ✈️ can go to Ukraine because of course there is a war, but you can use trains 🚆 or car 🚘

You are very lucky, traveling while you are young is probably great. Traveling when old (TWO) is really much more exhausting, especially these days when your flight just leaving can be a crap shoot. When I was young, a long long time ago, I found the hottest women in England. Great video once again.

Some questions, 1 what about couchsurfing for meeting locals? is tinder better or cs? and 2 what about visiting one of the most inaccessible country in the world, namely Norway? Actually this is another issue, what is more challenging, a country where you cannot afford a hostel or a bus, or even decent food, or a country advised against all travel but full of hospitality, where people invite you for restaurants, even though chaotic?
You can try both tinder and couch surfing both and regarding Norway 🇳🇴 it depends on your budget, but there are hostels that are cheap that you can stay in. You don’t have to be a multi millionaire to travel to European countries especially those like Scandinavia and Switzerland.
