I think the Brad advice is at best indifferent. What takes the most 'weight' - strain is depending of the functionality of the hinged parts. So looking at your own creation whichever part is taking more strain than the other? Is it trash-can lid, a cigar-box, locket or :-) I was much more anticipating how you would line the tubes up axially so no problem when getting the wires trough, but no, apparently you are very lucky :-)
I like to hold the piece in a third hand (if can depending on the piece)) and use a nail set, keeps everything still - no beating up the piece! Great bracelet!
Where is a good place to get inexpensive turquoise cabs like the small ones you’re using in this bracelet? Also, are there Pattern dies that don’t require a hydraulic press that can produce forms similar to what you’ve used here?
Kathy Bradbury Lol there is really nothing about making a project this complex that’s inexpensive dearie.. by the time you hit this intermediate/highish skill level you should have all the equipment you need and a board of stones that would put a dragon to shame 🤣 the stones came from a friend that had extra picked up at the Tucson gem show though, and I believe you HAVE to have a press to use these. Not much other way to punch out the shapes. But you CAN hand saw them! I’ve done that!

When you rivet your pin , have you considered useing an impact on the flex shaft

Nice job!!
Roberta, why did Brad recommend the hinge pieces be different sizes? I mean to what purpose? Thanks.
Great video. Well done! So what did you use for your clasp?
Is there a supply list for this project?
Very nice, thanks for sharing
Awesome. Thanks
💯👍👍
thank you for sharing
How do you remove one?
I will use a round bur or a file to remove the overlaying metal. A small punch on a slot will send it through ;)
