MvC2 is my favorite of the VS games even to this day. I actually used to play Dan on one of my teams - his main claims to fame are: -Gains super by taunting (you can get a lot of free super over a match with this) -Otoko Michi is legit the strongest move in the game (~70% life bar damage) -Light Dankuu Kyaku has insane priority on the ground and air -Koryurekka (the double dragon punch super) can be comboed into, and is insanely good as a starter for a dynamic hyper-combo into another character, since it loads all its damage into 2 hits so doesn't ramp the combo damage reduction of the next super too much. It also hits grounded opponents. -Every fourth dragon punch is invincible (he flashes when this happens)

When I was a kid and I would get frustrated with the CPU on fighting games, I would accuse them of cheating and my parents or older siblings would always tell me “the computer doesn’t cheat”. When I got older, I learned that in most fighting games, the computer absolutely cheats and the late ‘90s Capcom games like MvC2 and Alpha 3 are some of the best examples of cheating CPUs.

There's a card game called Exceed that a Street Fighter set including Dan. I'm not good enough to tell how well they interpreted the character, but it might be worth a look.
Dan MvC2 Facts: Dan's Otoko Michi (or Raging Moron) is one of if not the most powerful moves in the game doing 100/143 HP of damage on a normal defense character (69.9% Nice) and 138/143 to the lowest defense characters like akuma and servbot(96.5%) Also this move will always leave Dan with 1HP if you land it. Dan's HK Hopkick only do 1HP of damage for the last kick. Every 4th dragon punch he does he flashes white and is fully invincible And if you KO your opponent with his Premium Sign it causes a hyper KO finish
Whenever I'm having kind of a bad day, for pretty much any reason but usually when it feels like I just can't do anything right and everything feels like it's against me, I like to think about how absolutely, positively frothing mad Akuma must have been when he was beaten by a triple Dan Hibiki attack and then I can go to sleep smiling.

It would make sense that the final boss Abyss has three forms since every stage battle is 3 characters vs 3 characters. In Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter the stage battles were always 2 characters vs 2 characters and it had 2 bosses: Apocalypse & Cyber Akuma.
