Roads in Tasmania (64) Nov 2023 -Strahan, Gordon River Cruises, Hells Gate, The Ship That Never Was

Just as we arrived in town the skies opened and the rain fell. We’ve all been excited about the Gordon River Cruise which we booked months ago and you can’t predict the weather. Lucky for us the weather was kinder and it didn’t rain. A must do tour when in the Strahan area, and if you can splurge we highly recommend the premium package, outstanding! Absolutely top notch! We drive to Hells Gates and do some beach driving. A tour of the Huon Pine saw mill with the owner Snowy was great and hearing his stories was amazing, you could sit and listen for hours. We throw our Huon Pine tree stump in the car and head back ready for the play, The Ship that never was. What a crack up, the best performance by all. We meet new friends and stumble across old friends we met along the way and continue to cross paths which is so nice. A few more “ want to see and experiences” ticked off the list.

Looooved this and agree it was a highlight of our trip to Tassie! The show was the funnest time 😂. A must see for everyone!

Hi Donna, happy to help where we can. My sister used this company and we are so glad we did to as the experience was amazing. We chose several things to Splurge on whilst in Tassie and this was one of them and picked the Premium package on the top deck. Amazing and if you can afford it, it’s definitely a must! I’m not sure about the other company but we loved our experience. It was the grey boat we went on. I think the other company was the red boat but I can’t comment on that cruise it may be good too? Here’s the details of the one we went on. Well worth the luxury and the food was outstanding.
