It always feels good to purge/minimize. I have slowly been getting rid of stuff from my garage from my ex and I always feel lighter as I accomplish that. Thanks for sharing bits of Millie as well🐶
I had a giggle at your pile of clothes. Actually, that's a lot smaller than most people have. It seems everyone has many more clothes than they need. Last year after decluttering my clothes, I started following the one in/one out rule. If I bought a new blouse, I had to donate one. So, I'd try to think of which one I would donate before I bought a new one. A few times that kept me from buying a new one. You did a great job at decluttering your clothes. Definitely have a break and a nice cup of tea!
I have learnt to have an ongoing charity bag, it is hung up and if I don’t love something when I wear it that’s were it is heading. I wash the item then it goes straight into the charity bag. When the bag is full I put it into my car and drop it off as soon as possible.This means no piles no big clear outs just a constant flow of things I no longer need.
I am definitely a Minimalist. I will be packing my warm weather clothes away soon and unpacking my cool weather clothes, since we don't get true Winters here, thank God. I have one large plastic storage bin with a snap-on lid that I basically swap out. I put freshly laundered, folded clothes in so they're unpacked clean. Even with the new clothes I bought this Summer, I donated enough clothes so my Summer clothes should all fit neatly into the one bin. On an unrelated note, I just purchased a pasta machine for myself, so that I can make my own noodles, since that is fairly decent portion of my grocery bill. Next year I'll make my own tomato sauce and with my own vegetables, I'm looking at some serious savings! I'm taking the bread machine out in October, since I told my elderly neighbor that I'd like to bake bread and cookies for him. His face lit up when I said that :)
@@kitchenworker446 I've seen this man sitting on his porch all Summer and see that his adult son uses the outdoor grill quite often to fix dinner for him. He is in his 80's and I have a soft spot for the seniors. I'll make soft rolls and mini loaves of bread that he and his son can enjoy. Holiday cookies too!
Hey stu! Ugh I am so jealous of your lego room! Need it 😫 You did a good job there. It's amazing what clothes look like when they're out of the cupboard and laid out on the bed. I never know how it all fits in my wardrobe. It's like it's all compressed or something and then all springs out like a jack in the box lol. I did my wardrobe this year and well....I'd say I tossed/donated about 5 x the size of your entire original clothing pile, I was ashamed 🤦♀️ Congratulations on the weight loss too 👏 🙌 💪 it's not easy.
