Wow, what a collection! Enjoyed the tour! That’s the beauty of being frugal, we cut back on what’s not important to us so we can do and purchase what IS important to us!
Love living on my own too! I can budget in my own way and economise where I want to and treat myself to what I want. Living below a state pension level but having a good time in my own way. Can't wait until my place is as tidy as you. Loving the lego - brilliant. Live long and prosper!
My goodness Stu ! How tidy you are ! That 25% discount on the council tax is well worth having. Also, if you are over retirement age , check with the DWP . If you are dependent on only one pension now, you could be entitled to extra money like Pension Credits. Some water companies will cap your bill if you have an illness or disability which means you need more water for hot baths or showers for example. There is so much help available in our country. We just need to ask. Life can be a challenge if you are not used to living alone but there is always a silver lining.
your tea thief reminded me of our family dog - you didn't dare put a cup of tea on the floor - within seconds he'd be there slurping away - he'd rather drink tea than water!
I am so very sorry for people with children facing this financial nightmare this year. It must be so hard explaining to teenagers who have become used to a fairly easy life that life is going to change. Having brought up 4 children , I look back and wish we had sat down and shown them where money has to be allocated. I also wish the help to budget had been available for my husband and myself. There is help available , as Stu says , so you are not alone.
I agree it's strange times. I was the same I learnt about money the hard way. I wish it was tought more at school. No one is ever alone.iam always here for a chat
I told my 11 year old son back in January that it's going to be a really tough year ahead, he's took it on board and I'm sure he'll remember my wise words when things get tough later in 2022.
I've been living on my own for ages, of course it can feel lonely sometimes but this is not end of the world. Freedom of choice is fantastic I agree.
Loved the tour, love your Lego room. That must bring you so much happiness
Thank you it's my passion and probably a midlife crisis lol
