    I'm here from Clint's Reptiles. I'd love to see your electric blues but as that's already the plan I'd love to see more of your carpet chameleons. I've always, always loved Panther Chameleons with their bonkers colors but I always heard they weren't good pets, didn't like to be handled and were extremely sensitive, I still want one one day but I adore your tiny chameleons, especially that female, she's so cute and sassy with those little flecks of yellow, so pretty. I would love, love, love to hear more about them! (I'm currently attempting to grow bonsai indoors inside controlled enclosures very similar to a bioactive set up for reptiles and tarantulas and I'd love to try out replicating a natural environment with them with a real tree. I think that would be a really cool experience.)
    As a small critique for your video it would be really good if you could get yourself a mic to clip to yourself, your audio is really good but it's hard to hear you when you're working with your animals because you aren't as close to the camera's mic. If you could do that then I think your videos would be perfect! Looking forward to the next one!

    • @LivingArtbyFrankPayne
      @LivingArtbyFrankPayne  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chameleons definitely don't enjoy being handled as a rule so they aren't good pets in that way. They do make excellent displays though! I will definitely be doing multiple chameleon videos.
      Excellent suggestion. I do plan on getting a lapel mike soon. :)

      Living Art by Frank Payne I live in Tennessee. The electric blues were the first reptile to catch my eye because they are just so pretty. I tried to find a couple I could get, but couldn’t find any anywhere. When I saw the species status I understood why. I am a new reptile owner. I have a Central American Boa and that is currently the extent of what I have. I plan to get more in the future. What time of year do the electric blues usually reproduce? Because I am still new to reptiles, I would probably hold of for a bit so I could absolutely make sure I can take care of a couple pairs. If I could learn the husbandry of them and help with re-establishing them as a population, I’d love to do that!

    Welcome to the TH-cam family. I've had reptiles for a few years now and I'm excited to hear your knowledge. I personally own a leopard gecko, mourning gecko, and brown anole, and have dreams of larger reptiles in the future, so any videos about your reptiles and their care would be fantastic.

    Very interesting video! Came from Clint's Reptiles, but stayed for the content.
    Is it just me though, or is the audio way louder during the intro? Had to change volume down and then back up again on my phone.
    Anyway, I'm very, very curious about those chameleons!! I had a Yemen quite a while back and loved him to pieces, but I always heard that other chameleons are way too difficult to keep, so never looked too closely into other options. But gosh, these are simply stunning!!

    • @LivingArtbyFrankPayne
      @LivingArtbyFrankPayne  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chameleons definitely require more specific care than many other reptiles but they can be surprisingly hardy as long as you start with healthy captive bred animals. Thank you!

    looking forward to some deep dives! my biggest suggestion is audio quality. the video quality was on point and you speak well to camera, but i had to crank the volume to hear what you were saying. so, as soon as you can, get a good lav mic!

      @LivingArtbyFrankPayne  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! I did get a mic and it seems that the sound quality is much better. My next video is a deep dive on the care of the electric blue gecko. Hopefully I"ll have it up by the end of the day.

    • @LivingArtbyFrankPayne

      The chameleons get mostly crickets but also hydei and bean beetles.
      The blue tongues do great on a diet of canned wet cat and dog food. Very simple to feed!
      Williamsi get fruit flies, bean beetles, and prepared gecko diet.
