as syranova said, troll levels are just monotonous trial and error levels with no real sense of achievement when completed. barb makes good challenging levels with the odd (and while genius) scumbag troll here and there.
I think I remember seeing Thab play that second level. Really enjoyed Dave's performance, he may not think he's the best but he is far better than me and way more entertaining than all the others, and the family friendliness is super appreciated.

There is actually even more lore than you describe here.. if you time getting small (from big or fire Mario) and touch an axe, you will remain “big” in the next level. However, getting a mushroom will turn you back to small Mario and then once you get a fire flower you will remain small, but with fire power!! Source: 1980 playing Mario too many times as a 5 and 6 year old. 😊

Statistically speaking, this level is 100% easier for DGR than Spiny Control since he has cleared this one.
