I love it when the Chief getting involved in the Rescues. And Boden looks great with the Hoseline in his Hands . Yep he should totally get more often out of the Office .
Actually the exact opposite. If this went sideways there would be nobody directing the rest of the response. Leaders are more effective as a force multiplier than as the force itself.
I’ve heard a chief say once before that just because he’s the chief doesn’t mean he’s not just going to rest on his laurels and not be an example to his men. Not in those exact words but it’s basically what he meant
Great episode! I loved every minute! Chief Boden fighting fires was epic! I am still a little worried about the story line for Casey, he can’t be a firefighter with a head injury!😢 I sincerely hope that this is not a precursor to him leaving the show!!!! Ugh!
As a person with a severe brain injury, I can tell you I was told in Missouri, you can’t be law enforcement. I don’t know what the laws are for firefighters. It all depends on the state’s laws.
Casey and Severide are my two favorite male lead in this show. I can’t believe I didn’t watch this TV series when I first watched Chicago med and Chicago PD so now I have to catch up all ten seasons. I love Shay
When Casey said he and Severide would handle it, I was like "B!tch, he and a bunch of other guys drove all the way to help with 9/11, y'all better be able to keep up with him."
Yeah when you get smart with a district chief over how a life was saved from suicide jump in season 6, surprisingly you get promotion instead of suspension.
Battalion Chief Wallace Boden is the kind of leader will do anything to ensure public safety from any side of CFD. Either behind the desk or in the front line of a fire. He will ensure that he tackles them effectively and won’t be afraid to get his hands dirty to make sure his team are safe
Interesting to see that the firefighter tasked with opening the door doesn't put on some sort of face protection to protect from the flames, I love the series but some features could be altered to make it seem a touch more real
Being a former fire fighter, right away, seeing the smoke puffing around the back door of the truck, I knew it was going to suck in oxygen and be a backdraft like Severide said.
Dang chief Bodeen fine job putting out that IED with the foam How's this for a riot?? You must of gotten a pardon from the governor when you was serving that life sentence in Oz as Kareem Said I'll say you're an exemplary example of how a bloodthirsty convict can become a outstanding private citizen providing your sevices to the city of Chicago's fire department Not one , but 2 thumbs up 👍👍 Lmmfao😂😂😂😂
He was the Big Bad Wolf legend has it he became chief by a dead guy who came out the cemetery and tuned up his FIRE truck . And he’s been Howling at the moon since ..
It would've been interesting if there were to be an episode of Chicago Fire in which the firefighters of Firehouse 51 get to meet some officers of the United States Navy and that Boden knows one of them when he was in that branch of the United States Military.
Fought I heard of British Star Eammon Walker ,Turned out he was in the Police Drama The Bill and Comedy In Sickness and in Health to His Household name Chief Boden in Chicago Fire,Thought he did a great Job in an American role ,But love his UK roles also with his own Accent ❤️🇬🇧
And that is why American departments need to embrace modern technology such as penetrative high-pressure lances. No giving the fire a nice breath of fresh air or firefighters at risk when opening compartments.
Detergents like these are flammable. If caught on fire, these items can also let out toxic gases. Once Severide opened tailgate it caused a flash over due to the amount of oxygen flowing in through the door.
“I got to get out of the office more often” is the battle cry of all fire chiefs
just casey and severide and their dad 🥰🥰🥰🥰
They weren't serious. He's like a father figure. That's all!
@Archie Tatton Relax, all she meant is chief is a father figure to them. They said as much themselves, its also a tv show...
Casey putting his hand on Boden’s shoulder” you should dad, it’s lot more fun with you around”
He’s a father to all at 51 no doubt
Yeh, the highest ranked officers in the fire crew putting themselves in danger.
Can we all just agree that Papa Boden is never allowed to leave the show?
Totally agreed
Yes
👍 yep
Eeyup.
Yep
the last sentence that boden says is hilarious and also i love it when boden is in action
a good leader is one that leads by example afterall
@@pokebreeder2517 "Thats nice" literally
Are we ignoring the fact that Severide put his head into the fire opening the back door?

Finally someone who agrees with me
Chicago firekidd
Yeah he is
👏👏
I love the look of determination on Boden's face!!
This is how a real chief works. Right on the front lines with his firefighters
A real chief would ensure his firefighters are wearing SCBA (and wear it himself)
Actually the exact opposite. If this went sideways there would be nobody directing the rest of the response. Leaders are more effective as a force multiplier than as the force itself.
@@fergussharp7954bro this is a show
Correction: How a real leader works.
@@grantharriman284 However they’re most experienced, you could argue that they could be best at seeing the signs of an incident about to go “nuclear”
Chief needs to do more rescuing! We want more of this !
Yes we do
Hell yeah!
“Is that truck on fire?” Perfectly normal thing to say in conversation.
Boden is a leader to all firefighters
Boden gave me goosebumps last night and yes he does need to get out in the field more often that man is awesome as s***
Boden could withstand the blast. He's that much legendary
Boden stepping up to that fire like the OG Boss that he is. Love it!
This show is too good to describe in words. I love Stelluride and brettasy and Upstead
Upstead was chicago PD this is chicago fire just got your Chicagos mixed up
Love to see Boden getting into the action
Boden is an action hero and the pillar of the 51😊.I admire his strength!
I haven't watched the show in awhile. Damn, Boden' s cool.
Well done Pops
When it comes right down to it, Boden is still a badass.
Badass Boden taking the nozzle!!
A batallion chief manning a hose right after stepping out of his buggy. Well, it is not a common sight that you can see everyday.
I’ve heard a chief say once before that just because he’s the chief doesn’t mean he’s not just going to rest on his laurels and not be an example to his men. Not in those exact words but it’s basically what he meant
Atta boy Chief!!!! 🤘🏾😎🤘🏾
Thank You! Boden was in the fire house so long I thought he was glued to the sit. Also Casey smiled 2:38. It been while for that too.
I remember watching this last night
🤚
It’s great seeing Bowden setting a great example for his team
Bad example. No SCBA

Leaders lead from the front and never ask someone to do something they wouldn't do
