  • Getting started with a dope in-ears system can be daunting to bands just starting out, so we're going to break it down step by step using the #Soundcraft Ui24R mixer.

My band is sharing an IEM transmitter, 4 of us, 1 receivers each and all sharing one transmitter.
My question is, how can I give each member their own in-ear mix? For an example, I want to low the bass guitar down and raise the vocals and lower the keys a tad bit. I have the Ui12

Without creating an individual mix on 4 aux outs, and running 4 wireless transmitters unfortunately there is no way to accomplish the task at hand with current rig.You would need to upgrade your mixer the one your currently using only has 2 aux outs giving the option to run 2 separate mixes with the ui12s capabilities. Thanks for the question I hope this helps.

Hi Im trying to sort some IEM out, I’ve got the ui12, I’ve plugged the headphones in the slot on the front but it is really low even with the headphones knob at max, how would I do it in settings to turn it up thanks

@@higstravels You should be able to go into the setting menu under the global section. You will change the “headphones out” to *aux instead of Master/Solo. That way when you go into your Aux sends you will have individual output controls with a little more gain. You can also try hitting the UI at the top right of the mixer display and hit the “aux masters” button and access the independent volume slider for headphone volume. At least that’s how it works on the ui24. Not all of the functions are the exact same. Let me know if you get stuck I can try and do a quick short on it. The mixer is pulling band duty for a bit so I don’t always have easy access when it’s packed up in a touring trailer. Happy to help when I can though.

    Hello sir
I just brought ui12 and I want to use aux out as a in ear monitor and I also brought behringer pm1 but aux out signal goes to only left headphone not right side I checked everywhere to not doing pan left side and I didn’t but when I checked master output it’s hear left and right
If you have any solution please let me know
    Thank you for advance

I believe the issue is with the pm1 there is a stereo mix version and a mono dual mix one. If you have the dual input one it takes two inputs that can then be mixed left and right. Some users for example prefer one ear has a click, and mix other the other ear. Hope this helps, if you have further questions please reach out.

That ui24r will die in the first 2 months in there. It runs far too hot and you need to put fans in for cooling. Your channels will fail quickly. The design of the cooling is non existent. I would mount the fans externally until the 3yr warranty expires and then add the 60mm fan to the inside in the mixer casing where the mounting holes and knockouts already exist and just connect it to the 2 pin connector on the motherboard.

That was a concern and we might address it sooner than later but we are in a cold storage room that’s 65 degrees. And converted to the studio. But touring and gigging we will look at reliability issues that may arise. But great point.

I’m running the yo 24r and I’m using individual mixes with the aux outputs but they aren’t pound enough?

I'm not sure 100% what you are asking but I'll take a stab at it.
If you're doing individual mixes out and the volume is not loud enough. It's probably a gain staging thing or the levels are not mixed properly. I'd love to dive in further but I need more context please. Can you send a screen recording of you running through how you have it set up in the ui24? If not a simple phone recording showing how you route everything to give me a better idea what the trouble is. Thanks for reaching out.

I have found that is indeed the case. I use aux send 7,8 for sub out.
That way I can choose exactly what I want to have come out and where. So I'm learning as I go, and there are many approaches one can take to achieve the same results.

@@gearly_beloved Hey man nice video. got my new equipments which includes the Furman PL PRO DMC, Ui24R with QSC speakers. I have connected everything. However, I am having trouble with the Aux monitor part. I am new to this and so far, the two master outputs are working fine. I can hear my music from the USB stick out of my two speakers and I am also using 4 more speakers for monitors. But, I can only hear monitor 1 and 2, and not the others. I have updated everything to the latest firmware V3.3 and all volumes are up, in the mixer but I have no idea what could be going wrong.
Do you have any suggestions or video links on your channel on how to connect speakers using AUX on an iPad? btw I already subscribed.l
      Regards from Miami, FL.
