    I’d consider adding a stronger magnet to the chin bar wind deflector or Velcro to give added adhesion, when not in use.

  • @gospeltractslove
    @gospeltractslove 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Maybe try hot melt gluing a tiny patch of velcro above the chin flap to reduce the flapping and make it more secure?
    If your riding and the flap is down just remember you have to push the chin flap back up before you slide the chin guard up and if you can’t remember to do it then remove it. I think I heard in another review the manufacture warns that any adjustments should not be made while riding.

      I was going to suggest the same thing.

    The manufacturer recommending that you only adjust the chin bar while stopped might help the manufacturer get past their compliance evaluations and legal liability, but it's still a major design flaw and it's important to call it out. That retractable skirt is a clever idea but it's clearly not working as intended.
    Thank you for making this.

    That inside windshield scratches the visors if you don’t push it back up. I had to replace both, the inner sun shade and the outside wind screen. They both got bad scratches right on my eyes sight. I don’t use the inner windshield anymore cuz I kept forgetting to push it back up every time

    I suggest to change the confguration only during a complete stop for many reasons. Thank you for this video, it shows why it should be safe to use the hand only to open and close the windshield and not changing the chinbar position.

    Nice review. Been wanting this helmet for a while. Do you have a windshield on your bike? How's the sizing of the helmet? Does it run small or true to size?

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a wind vest on my bike. Size is pretty true. But like I said snug fit in the cheek area, a little better after wearing it for a while.

    They run true to size ,I have changed the Pinlock 70 to pinlock 120 also in relation to the cheek pads I removed one layer of the foam from the cheek pads made it more comfortable.

    The position of the sun shade control concerns me. Does it leak while riding in the rain?

    How can you get the liner back in? My hubby got me the Sharktooth bluetooth system and now he can’t get the liner back in after installing that.
    I have this same helmet and love it. Can’t wear it though until he gets the liner back in for me.

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My liner had velcro and snaps. I put my Bluetooth in both shark helmets we have with no issues. I don't know how ur hubby did yours. Mine was pretty simple just fed wires behind liner in back and tucked it in around ears etc, that is where I found velcro, snaps at cheek pads.
      Good Luck.

    Hello, I just bought my Shark Evo One 2 helment yesterday. i agree about the cheek pads being very snug, did you say they relax over time? i hope so, but I would rather it be a little tight than loose. thanks for the video!

    Is there much wind noise when you’re riding? Some of the modular helmets are really noisy

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been riding with modulars and 3/4 for a while so I am probably not the best person to ask. I also like to ride with my shield up most times.

    My helmet sometimes gets stuck when I try to put the chin bar back after I have it open from open face to full face.
    I think your meant to lift it out and up but it’s difficult at speed

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't make any changes at speed, not sure it's meant to operate that way. I will flip open or closed after getting on or off freeway etc.

      @@2lotony Thanks bro. Was it too difficult to mount? or similar way to another helmet? What about the wind noise while ridding? thanks for your help!

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my case it was easy. Mine has a mount attached to side of helmet with two sided tape, I just ran wire under and into helmet and tucked behind stuff. Mic is just kinda stuffed into the side by the ear because there is not a good place to mount due to flip face. As far as wind noise, I can't say with much certainty because mine is a piece of crap and has issues. I ride open face at slower speeds and the wife doesn't complain about wind noise on my end, she doesn't have a shark yet.

    • @heybruh3274

      I don't have the issue "Major flaw" he mentions. If you have your chin deflector down, then when lifting the chin guard, just hit it with your thumb before you manipulate the red unlock mechanism. This procedure is no different than when moving the chin guard from the back to the front and you want to use the chin deflector - you HAVE to reach up in there with your thumb or index finger and pull it down.
      Just push it up before lifting the chin guard. So very easy.
