How much is this chair ? And can a weather resistant cover be added to pertect the joy stick ? But still be abled to use that . Here in New York State we get a lot of heavy rain at times . Other time heavy snow with ice .

That link will show you the specifications, information and well as the price. For this unit, you are looking at $1,599. I'm adding the link to below for your convenience. For the joystick, there is no weather resistant cover. You can always use a grocery bag to cover it while in the rain. Store it in your pouch on the back and pull it out when needed. It would still be able to be used within the grocery bag. That's my best thought for a resolution for what you are needing.

What is the actual operating width - there is conflicting information - some say 24” so say 26”. I can tolerate max 25”. Thanks

It depends on if you are looking at the IQ-8000 or the 8000 Plus. The 8000 is 23.5" where the 26" on the 8000 Plus. Hope this helps answer your question.

Remote controls have a problem in what happens when communication fails? If the chair stops, what happens when crossing a busy street? If the chair keeps going, what happens at the edge of a curb? Also, compare the mileage with other chairs. You can do better than 13 miles.

The remote control work in conjunction with the joystick on the chair itself. If the remote control goes out, the joystick could be use at that time to control the chair. As for the distance, this Majestic IQ-8000 is airline approved which the lithium battery have to be as well. If needing more distance, one could always purchase an additional battery to take in their luggage to get an extended range.

What the main differences between the 7000 and 8000 models???

The 8000 has 4 miles more range on a single charge, The weight capacity is 20lbs less, the weight of the unit itself is 2lbs lighter, its shorter by 3" in length and 2 1/2" narrower. Hope that answers your question.

Yes, Hold down the up and down speed at the same time, and then once the you see the speeds change, hit the horn button once.

I'm so frustrated watching these videos. Nobody shows what it's like with the footrest folded up while getting in and out of it as I would need it and need to know if it's in the way at all.

This unit's footplate does fold up fully where it is not in the way of any transferring into or out of the chair seat
