The "HOSS" is MY favourite Whellchair. I had been driven this for testing one time and its a marvellous Support in my disability. Its the SUV under the Wheelchairs because its Mobility on the Beach or in the woods. Even in Winter its driving on Snow. And the SAFETY is magnificiant while he stops very very quickly if necessary. For me a very important Reason to get one. It is easy to get it into the car as it has a small ramp as an available option. Turning on the Spot makes it suitable even for small apartments. He is the Price worth. The Austrian engineers have done a great job.
Long time wheelchair user. I had an ibot. Even with its issues it was the best I’ve had for independence. I have a Quantum Q3 now. It’s nice and comfortable my mobility is more limited the older I get with thisSCI. T-11. Thankfully they are still working to make mobility better for us. Love the video.

What’s the best wheelchair for a quadriplegic, where the caregiver does the driving? Reclining is necessary to get off the tailbone often. Something to hold arms inside is critical. Must allow mounting a Tobii eyegaze or similar device.

I agree. I believe we need to be subsidized by our government. I'm not saying pay for all of it. But if you are clinically considered disabled then you should be charged according to your income and the rest paid for by the province/state or even be federally subsidized. Disabled people like me get a PATHETIC amount to live on. $949.00/month is poverty income and to expect someone in that position in which they can't work a full-time job or even a part-time job because they have to lay down every 45 minutes or hour for ten minutes or so to lessen the pain that is always there. The pain just goes up and down in severity depending on the activity. Even just sitting takes its toll on a person's back. It takes at least an hour, to an hour and a half after I take my pain meds and loosen up in order to lessen the pain enough to get around and start the day once awake in the mornings.

Bless your heart I am disabled, I cannot walk or run like I used to. Yes I am aware that I am to blame for this situation, but I really wasn’t my self when this happened. I took a loaded .22 caliber rifle and shot my self in the head. I did this in 2014 so I have been in this position for 10 years. I only did this because of the circumstances of the situation with the Boy Scouts of America. I was raped by an Assistant Boy Scout Master. With the money I am going to get through the pay out I might have enough to get me a new chair!
If you are “lucky” enough to be disabled because of an accident, attack or someone’s negligence, you might be able to afford these chairs after suing/claiming compensation!! Unfortunately while I should have been one of those people, the local police were crooked, so when I applied for criminal compensation, they said the DNA, CCTV and sheer amount of injuries I had from being SA’d, all pointing to a single guy, was “insufficient evidence”, so my claim was stopped. It only took over a decade to finally save up enough to buy a second hand chair that could handle the local terrain, steep hills etc…..Ignore the fact that the guy selling the chair basically took pitty on me and knocked almost £5K off the original asking price!! Being SA’d (I hate that yt censors victims) left me with PTSD around men/strangers and crowds, but the police letting the guy go despite everything pointing to him, then making it impossible for me to get compensation, despite being left disabled at 18, completely destroying the career path I’d spent years preparing for and every other line of work with it, resulted in my now having just as severe PTSD response every time I see a British police officer/vehicle!! Just ashamed I spent my teens defending the police when my friends complained about getting cautions for underage drinking or smoking cannabis in public.

Why did noone thought of removing the controller to reduce the cost? Just use the mobile phone as connected as controller since practically everyone owns a mobile phone. Just focus cost on the chair's comfort & battery.😂❤

As a wheelchair user it’s upsetting to see another wheelchair user be so bigoted against ambulatory wheelchair users… they’re just as valid.
I walk around my house or other short distances of less than 30-40 feet with the aid of a cane. I need my scooter to go far than that.
