I believe the love for Japanese breakfast is not only mine since the Japanese breakfast video has been the most popular video on my channel. However, I do understand how time-consuming and labor intensive that is to make in the morning! I'm showing preps and process to make your kitchen life a little easier in this video! I hope this video will trigger you to make one for yourself!

The reason I love Japanese cooking is because it does not hurt my stomach. Always fresh and healthy. I lost 50lbs in mitoshi when I lived in japan. So I'm hoping to learn how to cook some Japanese recipies.

Being a Middle Easterner, our food can be "complicated" and very rich and heavy. I've been adopting Japanese style cooking lately and got more into salmon (cooking it in my instant pot) I can tell that the Japanese diet/meals are much healthier and simpler (well, I wanted an excuse to add Sake to my meals 😉). I've been making the rice overnight also since a day old rice has been very helpful in many dishes 👍👍

Middle Eastern food is so good! I personally am a BIG fan of traditional Afghan cuisine :]
Also, totally get it! I'm Italian and our food tends to be very heavy. I love lighter meals throughout the day, especially during my practice.

@@arizonagreenbee thanks, I'm going to look into the Afghani food next. It might be close to the one I'm used to since I'm from Iraq, and we cook many Persian dishes at certain regions of my Homeland. And since you're Italian, that is my ultimate comfort food.. I got excited everytime I watched the Sopranos on TV having conversation over food before they whacked someone 😂😂😂 !!

This every morning, with some Japanese Lofi and hot green tea! The Dream! Before Covid-19 I was working for a Sushi Company here in the US, called Genji. In less than six months I was hooked on how food is made in the Japanese way. Just washing the rice alone always put my mind in a state of Zin, cutting all my veg's and then learning how to cut the different types of fish. Now that Covid-19 is easing some in the U.S. I wanted to get back into cooking proper Japanese food so I am thinking of a Food Truck. I've always had a love for Japanese culture, language, food, and some of the ways they live day to day. Miwasan, arigatōgozaimashita!

Simplistic? Wouldn't call it like that if your country's staple breakfast was bread or cereals, and if you wanna do really healthy some oats with fruits, nuts and seeds or a smoothie bowl and then we're talking about doing much effort for breakfast. XD

@@gm.5615 That is also not correct, less salt = more sugar. So you're substituting one thing for something equally as bad. Also, it's not well balanced either. Most of their breakfast is empty calories, except for an occasional natto. Also, it's a misconception that they eat sushi all the time...most of their food is just like ours, prepackaged just heat it up stuff.

Hi from Queensland, Australia! I just wanted to thank you 🙏 for making these amazing videos. My youngest son (12) and I have been learning about Japanese cooking and trying some of your recipes. We’ve never really had a lot of Japanese food before. It’s delicious! So far we’ve tried omelettes with vegetables we don’t usually use, and rice with seasonings that are new to us. Last night, I marinated our salmon in salt and sugar and today, we’re looking forward to trying it. The texture of the raw fish is much firmer after marinating, just as you said. We’ve also made miso soup balls yesterday. We also tried tofu for the first time ever! I’ve recommended your channel to my friends. Have a great day ☺️

I made this for dinner. Very tasty! I first thought that it would take too long to make and that I would end up with too much food. After eating it I feel very satisfied even a few hours later. Thank you for sharing this!

I wish I could live in Japan. I've been there a few times and always had wonderful experiences; how could you not in such an amazing country filled with gentle, friendly people? And videos like this make me want to knock down my house, and build a new one based on tatami mat sizes and live the best Japanese life I can in Australia. This video has inspired me to learn more about Japanese food and culture; however, maybe not get up at 5am to make breakfast... I will absolutely stick to your fine recipes, though. Arrigoto Miwa.

I really like how your facial expressions show how excited you are about the flavor of the food. Reminds me a little of how Gordon Ramsay gets so passionate about his cooking.

Thank you, Miwa! I've been wanting to switch to a japanese diet for a while now, specially because I always feel SO hungry in the morning, bread is not enough, and I keep eating snacks until lunch! I love it how japanese diet is based on 3 filling meals so you can go the whole day without snacks! Unfortunatelly, salmon is super expensive in Brazil (and also my favorite food, ぴ- ぴえん 😭 ) but I think I can make it if I stop buying dairy (I'm intolerant anyway).
Woah, I didn't know you could add nori to a salad or how to make misso soup properly, I've wasted those ingredients before :(
I will be following you from now on! ♡

It doesn’t look time consuming at all, so long as one preps some of the things the night before. I’m sure cooking times are similar to things I already make here in the morning. The breakfast looks very delicious.

I love your channel! 💓💓 I brined my salmon like you last night and I'm about to pan fry it like you do in the video. Thanks for giving the instructions for the stove, since I don't have that neat grilling drawer many people have in Japan. 😝
