I LOVE when people show their work on video! It means they believe in their craftsmanship and their process. If someone does shotty work they would NEVER put it out there for everyone to see! Kudos to you!

James, you should be very proud of Matthew. He seems like an intelligent young man, hope he learns half as much about boats as you know.

Matthew / James, thank you so much for this video. We've just purchased N5025 and while Charlie replaced the majilite on almost all the overhead panels there is one small one left to do. With this video as a reference I have confidence to take on this project. Cheers Grant & Agnes

Enjoyed this video. A natural behind the camera. I guess it's true what they say - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You must be proud of your son.

If only, IF ONLY I saw this video before I re-did the marine carpet on my marine ply floor of the tinny! My corners were an abomination and involved throwing staples at the problem till it went away! Remember, a family that sprays together, stays together! (unverified). Terrific vid, please make many more!

Oliver, we only usually do that when we have a headliner panel that's delaminated beyond repair. Doesn't happen very often :) We've even had big 16 foot panels broken in half and we glass them back together again with 100% success.

Great demo, one really small thing. On the last spray of the aerosol glue the can could be upside down to clear the nasal of glue

Im surprised velco is the only thing holding the panels up. Is that how they are done on planing boats like sportfishermans? Would hitting waves cause them to fall?

Hi guys, great vid thank you! Any tips on doing curved headliners? For example the roof on my boat is curved and I am worried that if I cover the ply panel in vinyl first then bend the panel to follow the curvature of the roof before screwing to the roof, the vinyl will separate. Any ideas? Thanks guys!

It is just the kind of job that may look deceptively easy, leading you to try it yourself, realizing only afterwards that it needs to go to a shop with a lot of experience in order to get it right. An xlnt tutorial.

As someone that has worked in upholstery and auto trim you should look in to Weldwood contact cement it is cheaper than 3M 90 and you can buy it in a 5gal can and use a air gun to spray it. Also please get Matthew some real scissors like some Wiss 28N's.

Wood it be easier to trace out and cut a new panel? It looks like mahogany plywood to me.
