Didn't sound like a cold start, at least compared to my 2014's. I feel like on most cold starts it has a bit of a built in rev and takes 10seconds or so before it "quiets down." Maybe something changed for later ones?
It depends on ambient temperature: air and water temperature have a big influence on how aggressive the preprogrammed 'heating strategy' in the PCM reacts. It's all about the catalytic converters (they need to be heated up very fast to function correctly and pass emission control). Worked as engine dyno operator in product development long enough :-)
Purrs like a kitten but when the throttle is mashed that 8.3L comes alive like a freaking grizzly bear coming at ya! It is evident by all the tuner builds ( Calvo and others ) that the Viper platform is absolute insanity. I mean what other engine is putting out 3000+ HP AT THE REAR WHEELS??!!

Mans had one job after literally checking the exhaust temp w| hand and still proceeded to walk towards the back of the car 😂.
A lot of viper videos they do that forgetting it's side exhaust.

why is it placed in the rear if the exhausts are on one side hahaha

If u say it’s cold then it’s cold. Don’t need a 4-point inspection to prove it.
This isn't a cold start you are also even doing it indoors
