I'm a professional mixer, I ended up buying the plugin but I didn't replace anything on my stereo bus. What I like it for is 2 track beats when I am mixing a hip-hop or rap project. I also like it on an instrument bus from time to time when it just needs a little something extra. I did the same thing you did and noticed it sounded very similar to what I was already doing on my stereo bus but I still thought it had it uses enough I could justify the expense. Plus I got it right when it came out at a steep discount. I also typically set the sidechain option to external. I don't like the targets in the multiband compressor so that allows you to bypass those targets. Great video guys!
You guys bloody rock! I'm from the States and I just said Bloody, that's how much I like your videos. Please do review on Klanghelm SDRR2 Saturation Plugin and/or the Klanghelm MJUC Tube Compresssor! Don't let the cheap price fool you. Thanks guys.
Every demo on TH-cam I see about this has the limiter cranked too high and all I'm hearing is how much louder it's making the mix and not much else. I wish someone would tell them that the Loudness Wars are over.
A couple of bloggers ran this thing through the meters and to nobody's surprise they came up with this. A slight broadband midrange boost, a generous dose of odd order harmonics, 5 bands of compression and a limiter. And that silly confetti cartoon when the music plays.. Great for the 9 year olds, but for me ? You can't be serious. Bill P.
@@RocknRollkat I’ve run it through plugin doctor… it doesn’t show the full picture . It’s a modelled version of his analogue 2 bus which includes a stereo pultec plus some compression and limiting. Just saying ‘odd order’ harmonics is not showing the full picture…it’s coming from a classic pultec…It sounds amazing and most amateur mix engineers will struggle to do a better 2 bus process if they follow the eq guides in the interface. Yes the gui is a bit glitzy, but it’s a very powerful plugin . 👍
@@StudioLife101 I'm modelling a Pultec as we speak. It's pretty much 6 dB / Octave filters with transformers for D.C. isolation which also deliver odd order harmonics and a gentle phase shift through the passband. Many people are using the odd order harmonics trick, nothing new here. Bill P.
You can get away without the cursing on the intro and still get a good show going. Just saying. And I would say god particle is useful also for professional mixers in many cases, maybe not for every track but big chunk of them. Why using 6 plugins in your mix bus when one can do it all?

Another great review, thanks guys

Dude, bonus points for Higgs boson.
It's more of a polishing tool for the two buss. I use it to sweeten up the mix but I don't use the limiter. That comes later in mastering.
Excellent video
Cheers. 👍
It looks fine, however might want to wait for a sale.
The update is called The Sean Particle.

A couple of bloggers….😂
@@StudioLife101 Yes, more than one individual ran this thing through the meters and scopes.
Nothing surprising.

@@RocknRollkat Sounds like music tech magazine hokus pokus speak to me.
But is it snake oil?
Wrong channel...😂 But no....it's not.👍
@@StudioLife101 gotta love the snake oil videos though
I think its shit, $119 for some subtle processing - forget it

If you don't like the cursing, then I'd suggest you find yourself a nice little corner to go cry into.
