This is actually very interesting for video editors. Theoretically Da Vinci resolve relies on GPU more than premiere time relieve CPU usage. Would be cool to see how it runs a DaVinci test with that slow cpu.

And it uses most of my Radeon 5500XT for exports too. So literally, the more you spend the faster your editing computer will be... mystery solved. You’re welcome internet.

Although I think I might be using different rendering settings as my CPU is always around 95% while rendering, with my GTX 1080 at about 15-25% or so. At 4 k it looks alot better than 1080p with that bottleneck. I would say 60 fps at 4 k is a really good experience, even with drops to the 40s. Kind of like ps5 performance. Real problem is that the cpu cant handle raytracing at any resolution since RT takes alot of cpu power to render.

When I wrote that, we weren't aware of the CPU based scheduling used on Nvidia graphics cards which made a 3090 perform worse than some older RADEON on older processors.

I'm thinking of AMD 3700X but some reviews say I should just get a Ryzen 5 3600. If you've played the game before with stats on display you'll know that even during the loading screen the game usually still runs the GPU fairly hard. My observation is still valid.

Duuuude, when I was still at UFD Tech we did a similar video with a Core 2 Duo and a Celeron, it was actual hell 😂 games took like more than an hour to launch.
without hyper threading the game stutter on i5's is terrible. The frames will also be low too. I dont recomend any processor that doesnt have hyper threading

@@Slo_Nano Yes sir, that's true. Higher resolutions reduce the load on your CPU, (which is why I also tried 4K in the video). But you're still going to see some minor bottlenecking because of the lower CPU clock speed.
You wouldn't really be "bottlenecked" the same way you would with a CPU like the one in this video, you would just miss out slightly on some performance (I'd have to test to give you a solid figure) due to the lower clock speeds of the 1920X. And even so, you'd lose a lot more performance if you're gaming at 1080p than you would at 1440p and 4K.
@@sting9535 Unfortunately it's impossible to say for sure since I don't have a 3050 on hand to test. I'm just guessing it'll be fine as I used a 1660 Ti with the 4440 with no issues, and that card is about on par with a 3050. And thanks!

That configuration would probably work fine if the rest of your parts are decent, but that 2070 Ti is definitely not going to be living its life to the fullest, lol.
It'll probably struggle a fair bit because it only has four threads just like the CPU in this video, but it'll do better because it supports newer RAM and some newer tech. If you can grab that 3070 for a good price now, then hop on it. If not, then wait until you can upgrade both cpu and GPU.
one thing that you should take in consideration is that win 10 can get your cpu to a 100 percent even when ideling if for example you were using win 7 then your cpu would litrally be on like 5 to 20 percent usage depending on how much you optimize it but anyways the cpu is obviously showing its age it really is a bottleneck lmao.

Depends on the game really. I can definitely tell you that you're going to be bottlenecked at 1080p with the 4440 to the point where the 3060 Ti wouldn't really be worth it.

Going your windows 10 graphics settings and put the CPU usage as high. Shut down the PC turn it off restart I'm having similar system but 1650 supercard I can do 2K on most games including foza 4 :)
It would've definitely helped, but not nearly as much as you'd think. Have done similar experiments in the past and the RAM amount can't come close to making up for the CPU bottleneck.

That's kind of the point of the video. If you match a top-of-the-range GPU with a really slow/old CPU it's going to heavily impact your performance.

You might have some bottlenecking with the 2060, but not nearly as bad as in this video. The 1660 Super will run just fine.
That FPS results are same on cards like gtx 1060 6gb or gtx 1660 super with that cpu.

Lol, really? I actually have the same system in this video paired with a 1660 Ti and it works pretty well for the most part. It started acting up recently with stutters and random frame drops, but I suspect a clean reinstall will get it back up to speed.
