As craftsmen we are our own worst critics! No one will ever notice the slight ridge in the bottom of the box--especially when the overall project is so beautiful. Great job!
Beautiful wood and amazing work you do with it! I’m fairly new to woodworking and I’ve learned so much from you. Some of the people in our woodworking club have never used all of these tools. Now they’re asking me to show them something. I tell them to watch you too. Thanks for all your knowledge and time.😁
Not gonna lie I was at first disappointed that the curly maple didn't work out but like you said it was absolutely for the better as that red wood was such a perfect match!! You never cease to amaze me good sir! Thanks for sharing another great video!
Very, very beautiul piece of wood 🙂 I always enjoy watching you producing these little pieces of art, and of course i learn a lot, everytime! The colors of the walnut and the redheart match together, especially these slight shadows in the redheart make the combination perfect for me! Thank you very much, you are a real master in turning!
Tomislav Vodim tvoj rad, a beautiful little box expertly turned with a lovely inlay in the lid. You are lucky to get the beautiful burls they turn well.
Beautiful timber that you have turned into a magnificent article. I thought the little ridge as you called it was a design inspiration, I quite liked it there. You are few too critical of your work. You should get a job marking high school students major works, then you would see some very interesting design and problem solved ‘works of art’.
Sir … your work is amazing … watching this video is so scary for me!!! It is so hard for me to express how this makes me feel!!! It amazes me 😮 the way you are able to see the wood so clearly … and your smallest, finest cuts are so clean!!! I am mesmerized. I am in Alaska (USA) and enjoy watching your videos!!! Thank you. I would buy this in a heartbeat … it is just WOW!!!
Thank you very much, Don't feel like that as its all reachable and its just time and practice, repetetive work helps building skills in my opinion. Once again thank you soo much for spending to watch my videos
Thank you for your time and many videos , The time you take explaining how you go about turning such lovely pieces has inspired me and many of your followers . Could you share what type of wood burning pen you use?
Lovely wood very skilful use of tools. I have some reservations about the design felt it is over worked but that is very much a personal choice. All in all a nice piece.
He's a man, not a machine!😅 great box Tomi, man is that some beautiful wood. My wife thinks I'm crazy because I beat myself up over mistakes or flaws that she can't see even I point them out to her. We're our own worst critics, but that drives us to making true master pieces worthy of carrying our names.
A very beautiful little box, made simple and elegant and love the contrasting woods. Mistakes are human, but it still looks amazing. Thanks for another educational and entertaining video. Very slight de-synch between audio and video in some places, but that might just be me.
Looks good, the maple may have looked better but red and black are two colours I always thought went well together, the dark walnut is close enough. As for the ridge in the bottom, looks like a design to me, unless you tell someone.
Thank you very much, its smallest in the line of pyrography setup, I'll do a separate video on this as I can't find the link to this perticular product....
Hello young man, I have been watching you for a while now and love your work Fantastic little box, can I please ask for the name of the oil in English please. Brill videos. Max
You do know that if you hadn't pointed it out 99%of people would not have noticed 😂 on a side note have you ever had trouble with side grain inlays and end grain lid movement in different ways? Thank you
That is true😂 I did have issues accually but nothing big, you can always feel a ridge between two areas where endgrain and sidegrain is,and that is why I like to put detail on joint so hands and eye just don't recognize that
🕶very nice box Tomislav. Great contrast.
Spellbinding as usual! Love that box!!
A stunning combination of woods. I wish all my "mistakes" were like that!
Love the wood they go great together turned out buetifull
As craftsmen we are our own worst critics! No one will ever notice the slight ridge in the bottom of the box--especially when the overall project is so beautiful. Great job!
Thank you Tom
I didn’t care for the look of the red heart until you put the oil on it, but with the oil, wow!
The box turned out beautifully. You will be the only one who ever sees that ridge at the bottom. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you sir 😀

Thank you very much 😀 , say hi to the club
Super turning and such gorgeous wood. The Red Heart is definitely the jewel in the crown of a beautiful box.
Beautiful piece! This really shows how even a small turned item can take a lot of time and skill to execute.
Not gonna lie I was at first disappointed that the curly maple didn't work out but like you said it was absolutely for the better as that red wood was such a perfect match!! You never cease to amaze me good sir! Thanks for sharing another great video!
Thank you very much, I was as well but turn out better then expected
Redheart + walnut really turned out excellent.
Small irregularities are the typical sign of a hand made, they say. So, no worry about it. It is a beautiful box.
Beautiful piece, Tom, I really like the contrasting redheart. I learn so much from watching you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Thank you sir for watching and kind words
After you said just a small amount of scraping, I thought how many times “just one more cut” messed me up. Beautiful box from beautiful wood!
Thanks Scott, I have been there as well, one cut too many
Beautiful box. Nice color combination.
Beautiful contrasting wood you’re ability amazes me in every video
Very nice Tomislav,cheers Colin.

That little box is wonderful. Great job!
So glad that beautiful burl found its way on to your lathe ….. it deserved to be turned by a Master 🤠🇨🇱
Thank you Randy😀
Really nice box. Beautiful inlay. Thanks for showing us the flaws as well. Takes some humility. I am going to try this.
A beautiful piece of wood, a very nice box.
Great little box. Thank you Tomislav.
Thank YOU😀

Thank you very much, I'll do separate video on pyrography but as you'll see in video its very simple and cheap
Lovely wood very skilful use of tools. I have some reservations about the design felt it is over worked but that is very much a personal choice. All in all a nice piece.
Great stuff. I learn so much watching you. Wish i was half as good as you. Its all fun though. Ready for my refiner!
Thank you very much, its just practice and time 😀

Thanks Joris, no it wasn't you, somehow my setup went out of sync so its on my side....
Very pretty. I've worked with Black Walnut and Purple Heart but haven't come across Red Heart yet. Just another timber to keep a look out for.
Its really Beautiful to work with.... Thank you very much for watching
Beautiful piece.
Absolutely gorgeous
Thank you very much
Love this project. Very nice. Thanks for sharing

Nice Job!!
Very nice. The walnut is quite impressive. If that was my only mistake I’d be on 7th heaven.
😄😄 thank you very much
Outstanding!
Very nice.
Love your work.. Can u make a "snusdosa"" sometime? Its a swedish/nordic thing for nicotine pouches.
a box that u can fit the plastic snusdosa inside and the lid of the snusdosa aswell into the lid of the wood.
Never made one, but contact me via email and we shall see what can be done

Wow!
Maestro! By the way, what pyro setup do you use? The ones I've seen here in the US are fairly pricey. Thanks!
