Great video again and so happy Black Death was ur number 1, it never gets the respect it deserves, I have had it on Blu-Ray since it was released and love it:)
Black Death! Absolutely fantastic! Funny thing, though, how Sean Bean has been typecast as a medieval style knight/lord for quite some time- kinda like the go-to for that kind of character.
I completely forgot on the Fall movie list, to actually say something; so I’m glad I get a second chance. Indian Summer is one of my all time favorite movies. Glad you came across it, and that you enjoyed it, as much as you did
The Fearless Vampire Killers "I honestly don't know what surprises me more. The fact that you just now watched the movie, or your opinion, your rating of it. Such a great cult classic."🙈
I saw The Fearless Vampire Killers as a kid, like 40 years ago, and I found it both funny and scary. I have seen it many times since then and always enjoy it. You didn't find any single funny moment in the movie? Wow!
You're lucky to be able to watch horror movies with friends and discuss them. My wife doesn't like horror movies but on the other hand, my 13-year-old son is starting to take an interest. I went to see Alien Romulus with him and we watched A Quiet Place 1 and 2. He loved it.
I can't stress enough how great the TV cut is. Downsides being in Full screen, with a few content cuts on the R-rated stuff, but so worth it for flow and story. I searched for 20 years for the TV cut of the film when I saw that it was finally being released. So worth it.
Daniel i love your Videos. Is great to listen to your knowledge and taste about movies and so much more. You always have titles in ur lists that i dont know and are new for me. Keep up the great work, greetings from Austria!
If you haven't seen it already, I highly recommend a mini series called Over the Garden Wall. It's an animated series that aired on Cartoon Network about a decade ago. It's hard to explain without spoiling too much, but basically, it's about two brothers trying to find their way home in the woods, and they meet a lot of strange people and things. It has an absolutely beautiful fall vibe, in a cottagey, yet dark way that makes the atmosphere somehow both cozy and isolating. It tends to be regarded as fantasy, but it's got a lot of weird twists and fiendish imagery that I would say puts it in the kids' horror genre. I like to call it 'psychological horror for kids.'
Man, I feel like you might have missed the point of the Deadpool movie. It was a love letter to the old Fox movies done by way of Deadpool’s humor. It brings all of the beloved characters that have been missing into the Disney franchise. That is the entire reason it shows old Fox movie clips during the credits.
That’s cool, I’m glad you enjoyed it more. It didn’t seem like a love letter to me. And I am a huge fan of those Fox X-men movies. I think X2 is damn near a masterpiece. Those clips in the end credits really made it stand out even more how much better those movies are.
I'm glad you found the groove with The Thing That Couldn't Die. As you say, it's a fun, no-budget outing from the dying days of Universal-International. It's also based on a true story, surprisingly enough.
Just subscribed recently & am lovin' the content! Have probably only seen half the movies on this list....but couldn't agree more on Needful Things & Oddity-both great films!
I saw Hell Comes to Frog Town on USA Up All Night in the 90's in my early teens. It was one that I looked for for years but couldn't remember the name. I still haven't re-watch it since then, but it's one that definitely stuck in my memory really due to those costumes.
It was trash, a repeat of some arc tropes, didn't really story-tell, catered to the the most shallow MCU fans who also read a comic or 3. If you read even a little DP/Wolvie in the books, you were bored af.

Hi Daniel, pretty recent subscriber here and absolutely love your channel. I just finished watching The Watchers with my girlfriend, she absolutely enjoyed it but I really didn't, finding it quite boring and predictable. I'm about to show her Longlegs but know that like me, she won't quite understand the background and mystery behind the dolls! Also, have you seen We Are Still Here from 2015 and if so, what did you think of it? Happy September! - Pete :)
Your comments on Fearless Vampire KIllers defined the generation you come from. It had no gore, Polanski can’t act, not scary, boring. Yes, Polanski was inspired by the Hammer Films, but more than that he made references to older films. Polanski’s character looked and dressed like the character Hetter from the 1922 Nosferatu. Jack MacGowran’s professor character was modeled after the Village Doctor who was helping the vampire in Carl Dreyer’s 1932 Vampyr. Some of the jokes Polanski uses, like the Jewish vampire who laughs at the crucifix, saying, “Have you got the wrong vampire!” Is not only funny, but even makes a comment about the dominance of Christianity. The greatest thing about Vampire Killers is the atmosphere. It surpasses any of Hammer’s vampire films. You didn’t even mention the score which is wonderful, and amusing. Polanski’s sense of comedy is not to everyone’s taste, but many of his films have humorous scenes. Minnie Castevet in Rosemary’s Baby, Harrison Ford dealing with the French establishment in Frantic, Polanski’s jumping out the window of his apartment to commit suicide in The Tenant, not only once, but twice. His humor is dark, so not for everyone but if you get into his wave length, there is much hilarity in his films, The Fearless Vampire Killers is a wonderful film in so many ways. Sorry you couldn’t appreciate it.
Back in the 80s and 90s, my friends and I talked about wanting Marvel movies. By 2012, I was burned out on Marvel movies as well as the entire film industry. All the Marvel movies had were hard to follow plots, flash cuts (especially in the American Godzilla movies) And actors think I care about their politics. I can't remember the last movie I actually enjoyed.

Needful Things is great. I believe the only 80s King film that needs a legit blu-ray release is Night Filter. I don't understand why it never got one and it's so underrated.
I have to say something Brother. Your kids have the funnest Dad ever!! My dad was cool but not into horror. I bet you and the kids just have a blast and that is so cool Brother! Happy Autumn! Ready for Halloween here. My wife just bought me a Ghostface mask yesterday so it's on!
Thanks for the shout out man! Deadpool can hear you, you know LOL - I was meh on that too outside of a couple fan service moments... gonna bring you in for my next movie which is a more nostalgic halloween horror anthology without a distributor involved 😜
If you want more of Needful Things I highly recommend reading the book. It's SO good! Yes it's a long book but it's a fast read. Black Death is awesome!
I liked Deadpool. The only issue I had was I wish they brought back the "real" Wolverine, not an alternate universe one. I love Alien Romulus, Im not the biggest Alien fan, but this was the first movie in a long time that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Love the content! But ‘cuckoo is hardly a word?’ Maybe they’re called something else in US but it’s the name of a bird in UK. They are well known for laying their eggs in other birds nest. Not seen the movie but assume that’s related to the theme of the film somehow.
I thought oddity was mostly disappointing. A lot of ideas never worked through enough. Quite rushed and clumsy. The exchange between the antagonist and the medium started strong and ended like a soap opera. "Call him!" "No!"
Only the best movies I have seen in August: School on Fire 1988 The Vengeful Beauty 1978 Dr. Lamb 1992 The Kiss of Death 1973 She Shoots Straight 1990 Beast Cops 1998 (rewatch) The Underground Banker 1994 Viva Erotica 1996 A Chinese Torture Chamber Story 1994 The Hidden Power of the Dragon Sabre 1984 Hotel Berlin 1945 The Captain from Kopenick 1956 The Devil’s General 1955 Ambush 1973 The Long Chase 1971
@@cobwebschannel If you haven't seen Viva Erotica, you maybe will like it: They are supposed to make an erotic film and the reluctant director is shown this "Chinese Torture Chamber" film as an example because it is currently playing successfully in the cinema. Love that one (well, both ...)

x To my November Float list (since it is still fall) I added Hoosiers (#4), Indian Summer (#5), and Cry Wolf (#6) to it.
x I am going to watch Needful Things on the next Friday the 13th (December 13th, which is actually Taylor Swift's birthday) to start a new cultural element for Friday the 13th.
o I am already is starting a curse theme with this Friday the 13th and the next one is going to be the curse that happens when a person makes a deal with an evil entity.
x I am going to watch The Brain today.
May I recommend LAURIN (1989) to you (out on blu-ray by Second Run) directed by Robert Sigl.
I'm sure you won't regret it.
Love the content! But ‘cuckoo is hardly a word?’ Maybe they’re called something else in US but it’s the name of a bird in UK. They are well known for laying their eggs in other birds nest. Not seen the movie but assume that’s related to the theme of the film somehow.
If you loved Black Death try Solomon Kane with James Purefoy.
I thought oddity was mostly disappointing. A lot of ideas never worked through enough. Quite rushed and clumsy. The exchange between the antagonist and the medium started strong and ended like a soap opera. "Call him!" "No!"
If you wont a new vampire movie fore the Halloween season you need to watch the last voyage of the demeter.
Hell Comes to Frogtown is an awesome movie
Only the best movies I have seen in August:
School on Fire 1988
The Vengeful Beauty 1978
Dr. Lamb 1992
The Kiss of Death 1973
She Shoots Straight 1990
Beast Cops 1998 (rewatch)
The Underground Banker 1994
Viva Erotica 1996
A Chinese Torture Chamber Story 1994
The Hidden Power of the Dragon Sabre 1984
Hotel Berlin 1945
The Captain from Kopenick 1956
The Devil’s General 1955
Ambush 1973
The Long Chase 1971
Chinese Torture Chamber Story!! Love to see that here. That movie is absolutely insane.
@@cobwebschannel If you haven't seen Viva Erotica, you maybe will like it: They are supposed to make an erotic film and the reluctant director is shown this "Chinese Torture Chamber" film as an example because it is currently playing successfully in the cinema. Love that one (well, both ...)
Needful Things TV cut is superior. IMHO.
Deadpool and wolverine was amazing. U obviously dont know about the deadpool comics
How about "horror" movies arter 2000 ? Tucker & Dale vs. Evil? 😅👍😅
,The fearless vampire killers' is one of my absolute favourite films of all time. It is so funny 😂
So sad you didn't like it 😢
Could be it's because you just don't like Polanski?
I thought it was okay! Wouldn’t say I disliked it.

People are different
That's ok 🤷
Fun fact: I liked the Deadpool movie, it was fun. Seems we have a different sense of humor 😉
But the CGI did not look that good, that's true.
Watch "The Children" from 1980
