Appreciate your video! A few things:
    1. Yeah, NGS has always had presets.
    2. People have ALWAYS hung out in the lobbies, ever since the original PSO, to PSU, to PSP, etc.
    3. The enemies you thought were new aren’t. They’re ALTERS. They’ve been in the game since the beginning.
    4. The “Ruine” monsters you said were just “turned black” actually behave a bit differently than their Falspawn counterparts from base PSO2. Their difference is literally explained in the story right before though fight the one you just fought.
    5. Also to the point of reused monsters, NGS has more unique monsters than reused ones. Way more. And most monsters that are brought back have differences. Devs only brought back more enemies from base PSO2 ‘cause we kept asking for them.

Is it worth playing PSO2 NGS? I would say its worth trying for sure. Is it worth playing everyday all day? Probably not. The developers are very slow adding in new combat content or making any kind of changes, HOWEVER if you like to socialize, dress up your character, or build nearly anything you want in the creative space, it is a very good game for that. You can get through the story and up to max level very quickly in PSO2 NGS and the game well give you near end game gear at level 65 so it shouldn't take you too long to decide weather or not to keep playing.
" "MOST IMPORTANTLY" ", Try it yourself and form your own opinions on the game, don't listen to any haters saying the game is the worst game ever or super fans saying its the best game ever. You know what you like more then anyone else.

-No mention of this game being a sequel to PSO2 (I guess to avoid spoilers. Even though this was revealed before the game even came out.)
-"Photon Power" when it's called "Photon Points"
-"More dynamic" when the combat is MUCH less freeform than PSO2
-"items for progression" literally 1% of all scratches are for gearing. 99% is just cosmetics.
-Toon filter does not make the game look better. It literally only effects character models. Environments etc are unaffected.
-skipping to gameplay, the game no longer asks you for a gear score check. It hasn't since June last year.
-Global is far less optimized than JP. Even on console
-"Let's start up the new quest!" and then he enters the story, instead of actually starting the new quest.
-I cannot critique your Ra gameplay because I don't play Ra. Although your lack of Weak Bullet is indeed pretty grimacing
-There is a weakpoint. Sega's lock-on system has just been garbage for all 12 years of PSO2's life.
This video overall did absolutely nothing to entice people to play the game. All you did was the story. You didn't display Duel Quests, Leciel, Time Extensions, nor the actual Nameless City Exploration. You also did not show that every player will get a fully maxed out & pre-affixed weapon once they get their respective class to Lv65. Pretty bog-standard Global player video.

i disagree with the premise of "free form = better action" but i also think people are conflating two different concepts, so let me explain where this guy is coming from?
for a good portion of base's service (and it's an old game), you could use most of WL's 11 PAs and be fine. content wasn't necessarily one-shotting hunters or forcing dps checks. the opposite became true as the game changed directors and started to really lean into high octane space combat. in NGS if you want to play optimally, most WL players actually end up getting to use _more_ PAs. cool! then again, most hunters weren't playing WL at all in base.
WL was always meant to be a mobility/mobbing tool. because of jank, it was really hard to boss on. for example, on a few grab PAs that land, you're super armored and cannot cancel the action. this meant you would have to move precisely with adapt spin and time your held PAs with the enemy's movements or suffer a huge dps loss. even after a buff which only came after episode 6's jp release, giving it guard points on more held PA startups, clearing most endgame content was basically a rotation of a few PAs. NGS WL is easier to contribute on and definitely has more variety.
but WL is the exception to the rule. in my biased opinion, every weapon i have played barring WL feels less varied in NGS. a lot of veterans i knew felt this way, and with only 4 PAs excluding class specific actions it's no wonder. there are also some NGS design choices like hunter PA avenger while which i like and enjoy, can also see where it might cut into weapon identity.
so what exactly do we mean by free form? someone watching TMG clears might call TMGs free form when they see a player using their whole subpalette, even if the player is actually playing to an exact formula and memorized damage per PA down to the frame, breakpoints and more. to me this doesn't mean free form, it means a well designed weapon. many possible situations, but each with more or less an optimal set of responses. a philosophy that emphasizes _truly_ free form combat means your choices will matter less, and that doesn't feel good to people who found fun in speedruns. plus, taking away stuff like PA variety, Just Attacks, and admittedly, the jank that necessitated OTS camera and certain positioning, means there's less actions to perfect.
what people like us really want when they say they miss the dynamism is skill expression. WL is really a bad example, but base combat is truly deep. i mean, swiki (a jp resource) will tell you this about a specific gunslash PA: "While rotating, it attacks a total of five times by slashing and shooting in the following directions: 12 o'clock in front > 9 o'clock to the left > 5 o'clock in the rear right > 1 o'clock in front > 12 o'clock. You can change direction even during an attack, so by inputting the directions front > right > left rear > front, you can shoot all five times forward." it goes on to lay out the timing with which to rotate your camera by. i'm not even cherrypicking here, there's so much text under each PA to learn. maybe it's just me but i haven't seen the same depth in NGS.

Combat of the game is quite fun and the community seems to be a melting pot of many creative minds. The game does indeed have its flaws. Unfortunately, there's a ton of misinformation and disinformation about the game itself. Could honestly understand, since had holding similar resentment towards World of Warcraft and its community since the casual player base and those who play for fun are seen as second class citizens in WoW.
Sure, any Dishonourable Sweat could gain additional internet points and ad revenue from spreading disinformation about a game that did not appeal to them. I personally prefer to take the Honourable route, investing my time in a new release MMO and providing feedback based on intel gained from another game, as well as contribute to the community's culture by bringing others up. After all, I see other people as an extension of myself, and seeing other creative minds does indeed make the process much easier.
Surprisingly, I've been seeing many Casual WoW Players as well as some Warframe players starting to settling on Ship 2.
From the direction seem to be taken, I am starting to suspect the community shift was intentional.
I do believe mixed results are expected since this perhaps be one of the first MMOARPGs of the genre. However, there's in opportunity for some individuals, especially meta-rationalists, to take the opportunity for spiritual growth.
… Sorry, that's just the Psychedelic Gummy talking. I'm high as a kite right now.

It nice to heard about new player that could take fair judgement about PSO2NGS,
our community have been plagued by certain cc manipulation for a long while now.
Yes the game has major flaws but it by no mean bad game,
people could just take their time off from the game and could still catch up with fun battle the game could offer.

Is it worth it? - No
Has Anything changed since the last time you played? - No
Has it been updated? - Duh...?, it's live service F2P game, so more microtransaction updates than content.
Do People still Play the game? - Yes, Every Social Weeb whos just there to talk and dress their character, and the ERPer who probably now turn their creation rooms into 18+ clubs or dungeons so they don't get banned for doing it in the public hub areas, Maybe a few new players who haven't reached far enough to know how bad the game is yet before they either become one of the previous 2 categories or drop the game from boredom and forget about it.
They also don't listen to payer feedback, they merely just come up with excuses of why they can't deliver on anything or why its taking so long to deliver on their already arranged updates.

134 GB, however that's a bit misleading as that's actually for both games, PSO2 and PSO2:NGS. NGS alone is about 74gb, and then the PSO2 data is another 60gb as free DLC in your platform's online shop. I recommend new players just focus on NGS, and get the pso2 data later if they're really into it.

another note, PSO2 story can be solo if you manage to understand how to improve your gear to certain degree.
they have easy mode and normal mode and all it take to get True Ending is to complete all story chapter.
On that note, You also got a special choice to pick in NGS recent chapter if you complete the base game.

This video has the right conclusion but does nothing to support it, lol.
ONLY as of this update (6-7-24), 3 years after NGS's release, can I recommend trying this game. It's free, so give it a go.
The equipment systems are pretty convoluted, the menus are pretty cluttered, and it's not as straight forward as I'd like it to be, so please ask for help!
Cosmetics are split between premium and f2p, but even f2p players can afford a premium item once in a while, or more often if they're particularly clever with their in-game money. Female character cosmetics are always more expensive than male cosmetics on the player shops. To get them without the player shop, you'd have to spend money to draw on a scratch ticket, which is a gacha system with a set pool of cosmetics that rotate every 2-4 weeks. Selling an item on the player shops requires a premium subscription, but f2p players get a 3 day pass every month to list items on the shop too (I really wish they'd change this to more days).
When you start a new file you will pick a ship. These are data servers, and it costs real money to change between them. Ship 2 has the highest population, with Ship 1 having similar. Ships 3 and 4 have very small, yet tight-knit populations, so it may be hard to find players on 3 and 4.
Sega is desperate for new players, so they've made it pretty easy to get one class to max level just by playing through the story, and they've made freebie equipment that is usable from 65 to 90 (the current cap). Once you're 90, you can begin grinding for even better stuff to take on the ultra-hard and challenge quests.
I cannot stress this enough though: ask. for. help. The game leaves out a lot of things you could be doing each day to make your life easier; things that, when you find out about them, you'd say "gosh I wish I knew about that 5 days ago when I started playing."
Check youtube, check twitter, check the official and unofficial discords, ask in-game. There are some bad eggs, but most people are happy to help.
