      Yeah, I had my own little crisis two years ago. I just turned 39 and whenever I hear a 20 something person say they're waiting for the moment they figure everything out. Yeah, hun. That will never happen. We're all just going with the flow of life. Life is not something to figure out, it's just meant to be lived.

    Former Graphic Designer that went through a quarter life crisis around 30 and became a Licensed Therapist. Maybe what you are missing is connection to others? It fits with how youtube connects you in a way. You are very caring towards your mom, grandma, and seniors. Maybe try out some volunteering or even get trained to teach some fitness to seniors! I also did this through our local YMCA teaching water aerobics, running there Active Older Adult activities such as potluck, holiday card making etc. And got paid a little. I now work as a therapist working with kids and parents and love it. Currently 42 and much happier then I ever had been in my 20s!

    Hey Beatrice!! I have been vegetarian/ vegan for over 10 years. And hardcore vegan for 8+ years of that time and I feel truly amazing. Some tips that I wish I knew earlier:
    - protein protein protein! 30g per meal, I get 120g plus per day easily. tofu is my bestie. Air fry it with nutritional yeast and seasoning salt and it tastes like chicken YUM.
    - other proteins I love: soy milk, edamame, pb2 or pbfit powder, nutritional yeast, lentils/ beans, lentil pasta, hemp hearts, mix protein powder with coconut yoghurt to get a higher protein yoghurt
    - supplement with B12 and iron! Especially if you’re low in either.
    - avoid the processed crap and primarily eat Whole Foods and you will feel amazing.

      I wouldn't stress about protein. Have ya ever heard of someone with a protein deficiency?? Watch Game Changers. The beyond burger etc is good for transitioning but long term, no.
      I suggest reading and watching things on it ^^ GabbyPeterson17 good info.

      I agree 100%! Another vegan here of many years, upping my protein intake has truly made such a difference in how satisfied I feel after my meals.
      I’d definitely advise to stay away from faux meats as much as possible as like bea pointed out they’re very processed, therefore unhealthy! Instead try to focus on natural protein sources such as beans, tofu, tempeh and more natural protein powders.

      Idk if you guys have this readily available in the US, but TVP (textured vegetable/soy protein) aka "soy chunks" is a great source of protein, easy to cook, tasty and cheap! We usually just get a whole kg off Amazon (it's dry so that's a huge bag) and for cooking it just needs to soak in boiling hot water or broth for 10min, press out the water and then use like mince meat for stews, frying or oven/airfryer baking with your meat flavoring spices of choice. The dry product is 50% protein, rehydrated about 16%, also contains a lot of minerals and such.

    I usually have an existential crisis every 5 to 7 years. It usually means for me it’s time to change my position at work. This crisis or times of feeling lost usually catapult me into the next thing I’m doing. Have faith and stay curious and interested. Glad to see you again!

    Just a tip from a fellow chicken mama - you can give your chickens frozen corn or frozen peas when it is hot and they love them (frozen corn on the cob takes them awhile so they stay cool longer). I also wet down their dirt bath (just dampen the dirt) and they love to cover themselves with the damp dirt so they cool off.

      Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac.

    Like others have shared, I, too, don't know what I want to do with my life career-wise. I'm 35 years old, turning 36 in December. Here are two nuggets I try to remind myself when I try to come up with ideas - "If you don't have a passion, follow your curiosity". I got that golden nugget from the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. Another thing I try to tell myself is, "Whatever I choose now, I don't need to stick with it for the rest of my life. I can always change my path." Nothing is set in stone. So it's okay if you are trying things out and changing your mind. At least you are trying things and learning what doesn't interest you. Try looking for a fun part-time job or volunteering a few hours a week for something that interests you. That might help get the creative juices flowing, or at least helping others will make you feel more fulfilled.

    50 here and I think I finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up; but my credit, finances, health, and all-around life in general are still quite wonky and likely to be that way for some time 😅 The rut is no joke, that’s for sure, but for me the happiness I find in little things goes a LONG way in terms of mental health ❤

As a fellow bread/taters/cheese gorl, I wanted to say- high protein changed my life this year. 130g+ per day within a calorie deficit has not only completely curbed my carb cravings but has helped me drop 70lbs since 1/1. Just throwing that out there as we’ve had lots in common over the years. Hope you find what’s going to work for you! 💕

      It took some time for me too, but my near- daily favs: oikos vanilla yogurt 17g (1.5 serving at a time) 25g, 6-8oz chicken breast 50g+, cottage cheese (1.5 serving size) 19g, turkey/ pepperoni/ cheese sandwiches (usually using english muffins or low cal burger buns) 25-30g, and on struggle some days, an equate chocolate protein shake 30g.

    I identify so much with your dietary struggles. I was recently diagnosed with lipedema in both legs and had to cut out a lot of food from my diet, including dairy, gluten, salt, and sugar. I never thought I'd have a temper tantrum over not being able to eat cheese at the age of 45, but here we are.

      I was also given that diagnosis and the ONLY thing I took out was fat and I've lost more weight, quickly, than ever before. I dont eat zero fat, just low fat. Like a gallbladder diet. And all of a sudden, my weight is falling off. I think when you have a fat storing disorder, consuming extra fat is just not tolerated. Still eat sugar, lots of carbs, low fat dairy, meat etc. Only rule I follow is super low fat. Less than 20 grams a day.
      Fat stores estrogen and CAN alter hormones.

    One thing I've noticed from watching a lot of people quit their jobs to become full-time TH-camrs is that it often does make them feel aimless, maybe because of the difference in schedule and deadlines? I have no idea if getting a part time job outside of TH-cam would help, but maybe just thinking of something you'd enjoy doing as a side hustle could help give you the sense of direction you're missing right now.

    Hey! Long-time vegan here. You’re totally right about Beyond and Impossible being not great dietary choices for frequent consumption. I prefer soy chunks, TVP, tofu, tempeh (especially the last two). Those are great options for my hubs and I. If you try soy chunks (like Butler soy curls) you HAVE TO soak, squeeze, rinse, soak, (etc) 2-3 times. The last soak is great if you soak in a flavorful broth to impart flavor.
    I make my own seitan using the recipe from Sarah’s Vegan Kitchen on TH-cam. She has a website with her recipe, and it’s the basis of all the sausages, lunch slices, etc that I make. I thought making these things would be so hard, but it’s actually really simple.
    I wish you luck in your goal of decreasing animal products. Dairy is my nemesis, too.

      I've never found it necessary to soak/rinse TVP repeatedly, it tastes just fine to me soaked in hot broth and then squeezing the excess water out. Wouldn't have even thought that would make a difference.

    I changed my major 4 times, and got a different degree for my masters, and am likely going to get more. I’ve over time been realizing that just being is enough. I don’t need a solid purpose. I can just enjoy where I am now and what I want to do now. I find jobs that I find interesting and give me a work life balance. It’s brought me a lot of peace.

    I’ve struggled my entire life with my weight… so I can relate to what you’re saying. My heaviest was 220, this morning I hit a new low of 142.4!!
    I tried everything and nothing was working. But I found out what my body responds to. What ended up working for me was low carb, high protein.
    (Instead of doing a gram of protein per pound of ideal weight, I suggest starting with a more realistic goal- maybe just 100g of protein a day)
    I have watched your videos periodically for several years and something I have noticed you and I have in common is that we are perfectionists. Meaning, we go HARD on diets that are difficult to maintain for a year and we get burned out. This is completely normal!! But when I switched my goals to something I could do for a year… I started to see results.
    Also, give yourself a treat for sticking to your meal plan!! (Mine right now is a revive-protein moon pie. Gorl, you HAVE to try them)
    Anyhoo, I know you spend a lot of time and effort to figure out your diet and I am only commenting because I really relate to you and know how frustrating it can be. You’re doing all of the right things, just consistency really is the most important part! Anyhoo, love the chickens and guinea pigs 💕 glad to see all is well with you!

    As someone who is vegetarian/vegan, has a lot of food allergies/health issues, has disordered eating issues, and is a personal trainer/nutrition coach, and has a psych degree and works in mental health, I recommend whole foods, mostly plants, but giving yourself grace. I strictly do not eat animals, but just limit dairy. Complete veganism can be hard on your mental health and if you can do, then do it. Everything I make myself is vegan, but when I go out or someone else makes something for me, I'm just vegetarian. I don't expect others to cater to me. You can 100% get enough protein, and you don't necessarily need 1g per 1lb. Everyone is different. I get about .5g per, on average, and I have more muscle now than I have in my entire life, I weightlift bodybuilder styler, and I have not eaten meat in over 8.5 years. As for processed foods, I agree, whole foods are better. But you can still have "junk" in moderation, even if it makes you feel like crap physically, sometimes it's nice to still indulge. You just have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself because life is too short to not enjoy good food. But on the other hand, our bodies aren't meant to digest ultra processed foods and that's why more and more people are having autoimmune issues.

    I went through something similar a couple of years ago. I found it helpful to reflect on what I did for play as a kid. I followed that train of thought to a new career that I am so fulfilled by. I love my work and am so grateful to have paused to reflect and ask the questions you are asking. A lot of people don't do that, so while it may feel like you're behind, you're actually ahead of the game just by asking "is this what I really want for my life?".

    54 and claiming my seat in the "figuring it out club". You're miles ahead of where I was at your age. I think That's why I love following you. You're always kinda in the same space as I am. It's pretty crazy. Only like 20 years ahead. ;) Also, just went plant based 10 days ago. Vegan + eggs here (still a BIT of cheese). Shooting for 100-150 of protein. Using a LOT of beans and eggs. I do feel better. ETA: OH! And I just started a marble jar too. 10lbs down. SO weird. :)

    I am so glad you made this video and talked about how you're feeling a lost and stuck. I'm 33 and having the same feelings, and I've really just been struggling through life and those feelings for the last year. I'm finally going to therapy to try to work through it and figure out where to go next. I'm so glad someone is speaking openly about that feeling rather than just showing how "perfect" their life is on social media. Thank you!

    Your mind is so creative.

    Welcome Back!! Your animals are so lucky to have you!! My experience with soy and PCOS was not positive, something to keep in mind in your experiments. I've found in my 50's that I'm really comfortable with myself, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I've found I no longer care ;)

    I have PCOS and have had gluten problems as well- I've found instead of cutting out bread completely, focusing on eating only sourdough and naturally levened flatbreads like ones with yogurt has worked WONDERS for me. No issues with bread bloating at ALL anymore
    I'm also lactose intolerant and eat plant based with eggs so feeling very seen :)

      Yeah a lot of “gluten” problems are perhaps partially or fully yeast problems. Flat breads aren’t the same as puffy bread. The puff comes from both gluten and yeast

    Have you thought about working with a functional dietitian? I starting working with one last year and they did a lot of micronutrient testing to see what I’m lacking or have too much of, as well as suggest what kind of foods to eat based on your whole medical history which is really cool. (I have no affiliation, just found it to be helpful for myself after trying every single diet and “app” out there lol)

    Bea! I haven’t seen you on my feed in a while even though I have been following your for years now. I started my weight loss journey with you. I came today to see how you’re doing.
    I’m hearing what you’re saying about dairy and inflammation: I recommend seeing a functional nutritionist and get a zoomer test. I did this and found that I did have a hard time with so many things I never would have guessed!! I cut them out and I feel so so so much better and it helped a lot with my mood and inflammation

    Lentils, beans, tofu, legumes, nuts, and seeds. Tempeh, peas, seitan. Beyond Burgers and Impossible Burgers are amazing. America needs to get more vegan products. If you come to the UK, we have so much. It is healthier to make stuff at home, but if you want something quick, a plant based atore bought burger is better than meat.
    I gave up dairy when my youngest was diagnosed with a dairy allergy. Then my mom said I was diagnosed as a baby too. Thanks, mom, for sharing this after we fought for months to figure out what was wrong with our daughter and this explains why I kept getting sick when I had dairy. I am fully vegan.

      I can't get into the fake meat products like Beyond and Impossible, but somehow vegan dairy is so good! I love vegan cheese, especially mozzarella

      @@mister_manager lol I'm the opposite! I feel like they just don't get the cheese right, it's frustrating. The meats are much better made IMO. But either way, premium vegan meat and cheese are expensive and not great options calorie wise, at least the cheese, so it's often easier to just go for other options like lentils, tofu, TVP etc.

    Good episode! I am medication free, and am off all dairy, all seed oils, all added sugar (natural sugar is ok), all gluten, anything processed- eating all organic, all grass fed, all free range. It is not easy, but it is great and I feel good and so haven’t had depression for months. One thing, since you’re on the vegetarian side- be sure to do an Omega 3. Also, beware of soy! It made my PCOS flare, and is a huge issue with inflammation - well, mine anyway.

      @@LittleWillow1 Tofu has phytoestrogen which is a bit different from animal estrogen. Moderate consumption of tofu/soy will not increase your estrogen levels :)

      @@gracefulgaby I was using soy milk in smoothies (less than a cup) and having the occasional tofu and I had a serious flare up. I didn’t realize it was soy causing it until I got rid of it.

    Hi Bea,
    Just seeing some comments about veganism and PCOS. I’ve been vegan since 2011, I’m around the same age as you and I also struggled (past tense) with pcos. Soy absolutely does not “flare” pcos as I’ve seen in other comments. It actually helps your hormone imbalances as it binds to estrogen receptor sites and makes the real estrogen not recognizable. Most people with pcos are estrogen dominant, and the soy actually will help with that. Definitely try and do whole food plant based diet, not the processed fake meat products. But those products are great for helping the transition after transitioning get rid of them asap and eat the whole plant foods. A few other things that really cured my pcos is running, which I know you’ve gotten into lately. It also helps with insulin resistance and estrogen dominance. The other things I do are take vitamin c, b12 (and consider taking a bcomplex also), and inositol daily. Inositol is game changing when it comes to pcos. The other thing is probiotics especially with Bifidobacterium breve help with the digestion of fibre and decrease inflammation which decreases anxiety and also helps insulin resistance.
    A few last tips eat fruit…. A lotttt of it but eat it all early in the day like before noon or before 3-4pm and then eat the rest of your food cooked, soy, grains ect after that. Once you switch to cooked food don’t go back to raw apart from greens if you want with the cooked meals. Poor food combining lack of knowledge and lack of the proper supplements are what have people go back to their old ways. If you want to fix your hormones stop eating foods with hormones, simple as that. Diary, and meat have so many hormones injected to them and also natural because it’s animal flesh. Everyone vegan or not should be taking supplements, our food source is depleted of nutrients and there’s nothing wrong with adding them in. Soy absolutely does not mess with your hormones it is an absolute myth. :)

    You're so right about vegan "meats" and dairy - they're designed to get 'absolutely never vegan' pals to get off meat occasionally. But, as a vegan "protein" substitute, it is best to look into the older, tried and true protein subs that have been around for centuries (think seitan, tofu, tempeh etc). Vegan meats usually have a lot of added sugars, carbs or fats to make up for flavour, which isn't always the best. Ultimately don't get trapped in the "vegan is healthier" cause girl if fried chips are better than a steak Idno what healthy is. Just seek proteins from natural sources - beans and mushrooms if you can stomach them! And if you're craving meat, go for the alternatives to fill that hole (or buy a really high quality cut of meat for an extra special treat - the most sustainable way of consuming meat by supporting local farmers doing it well!)
    Vegan protein is so much more fun and has a bigger variety of textures and flavours and things. I highly recommend looking into Buddhist cultures and their cuisines. Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese or Chinese cooking for amazingly flavourful vegan meals. Obviously south Asian (ie indian and malay) are staple for vegans.
    I'm excited for you! I mostly eat vegan and occasionally delve into a delicious and sustainably raised cut of beef or locally grown chicken for my Chompers. A butter bean and veggie scramble with garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika is the most lit way to get a big vegan breakfast in. Espesh with good sourdough and If you've got eggs, keep at em, it's healthy and sustainable.
    I am also weirdly in a wildly existential spot right now. It must be the moon! Keep it up qween. I wish I could listen to my body as well as you!

    If you are eating a plant based diet or a vegetarian diet you MUST supplement for B12 and vitamin D at the very least. Also calcium, zinc, omega 3s and iodine are important to pay attention to. Otherwise you can risk serious deficiencies. And I say this as a long term plant based person :)

      Yes!! I hate taking supplements so I drink fortified almond milk and I’ve never had any issues with my levels in the past 8yrs as a vegan

    I went from low carb / keto to more plant based myself. Been reading about the whole Omega 3/6 imbalance in relation to inflammation in the body. It's quite interesting. And girl, I think most of us are just winging it through life, lol. I'll be 42 this year and I still don't feel like I've found "IT", y'know? Maybe one day.     The marble segment made me laugh. That looked so frustrating, but great editing.
    Kind of at a similar point in life. Feeling stuck and thinking about my dietary choices. Mostly about not eating beef anymore, because I've seen so many cute cow videos lately.
    I was vegan for over 4 years before and I might try being vegetarian. I have less issues with eating fish and chicken, but we'll see. I definitely need to start cooking fresh food. Have been living off junk food and ready meals for a year and I'm actually sick of it. And feeling a little sick in the blood sugar and -pressure, high weight and low exercise department.
    I'm feeling a life shift coming.

    Chia seeds are a really good source of plant protein ☺️. Really easy to make chia seed pudding, and if you jazz it up with chocolate oatmilk and/or protein powder, even better☺️.
    Nutritional yeast is also a great source of protein, and you can sprinkle that shit on everything😅. Good luck Bea!

    Glad to see you back! 🎉 Whether it is the lack of meds, sunshine, diet change, or all of the above, you look great!
    One thing I've picked up along the way (in case you haven't already), is that soy is a phytoestrogen. Depending on your PCOS needs, it might be something you want to lean on (or be cautious of). My hormonal ecosystem was fragile enough that I used to avoid it, but I'm getting old and things are changing again, so I could probably introduce more into my diet. I really wish endocrinologists would be more helpful when it comes to things like food and hormones - mine have only ever thrown pills at me. Best of luck taking matters into your own hands! You've got this, Girl!

    I’ve also been moving away from meat and dairy towards veganism for the past 6 months… I’ve found the youtube channels Rainbow Plant Life and Cheap Lazy Vegan have both been really great resources. Their recipes are so delicious, and Rainbow Plant Life is especially good at explaining vegan cooking techniques. Before I started out, I had no idea how to cook things like tofu or lentils let alone how to make them easy and delicious, and those channels really helped. Also, at the beginning I ate a lot of my regular recipes and just used Beyond Meat. You can make things like stir frys and Hamburger Helper exactly the same. This really helped me out until I figured out recipes and vegan products that I liked. Beyond Meat and other meat substitutes aren’t always the healthiest choices even though they are plant based.

    Violife is my favorite cheese replacement and I use a lot of miyokos products as well. One of my favorite cheeses for charcuterie boards is Treeline herb "goat" cheese. Someone already mentioned it in the comments but sarahs vegan kitchen recipes are great!

    Oh oh oh! I went through this “I’m 30 now” crisis (and honestly on reflection so did everyone else) so please know it’s totally normal and you’ll get there. Things I found helpful were getting into a routine with exercise that I *actually enjoyed* and eating good food. And also getting to the bottom of a couple of food allergies/ sensitivities. I also came off hormonal medications and this also made a difference.
    So you’re on your way “there” and it doesn’t matter to anyone (except you) where “there” is. And I’m sure you’ll work out where you want to be. Go Bea! You got this!

    I don't know if my suggestion will be feasable or not but here goes:
    You have said many times that you have filmed a lot of content but didn't deem it worthy. You have also mentioned many times that you are surprised your audience is showing up for "boring" stuff (it never is btw 😉), I'm wondering if you could remove yourself from that equation? Meaning hiring an editor. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE your editing, but having an editor that really gets your style could be a game changer. You could send all your content and have someone else who's impartial, setting up your "unusable" content in a video. It would perhaps help you see how things you thought were too mundane can indeed be great! (I could seriously watch you search a hyperfocus random topic for hours 😅).
    Now I know an editor costs money, and that finding someone you trust enough to be vulnerable with raw footage can be difficult (the bar for me for trust is basically KallmeKris and her editor Jay, as well as Rachelloves and her editor) but I think it would save you editing, analyzing, and questionning yourself time, as well as less pressure on yourself to make the videos, and therefore leave you more time to find yourself while filming and enjoy your daily activities. Like you said, filming your life becoming your makes it heavier. I think just filming anything in your life and have someone else do the work of everything after could really help in not making your life seem like your job ❤.
    I think having an outside person montage your footage would make you see that you may not be as stuck or aimless as you feel you are. Heck maybe you would find a few clues as the direction you are taking 😉

    If you are trying to get a handle on your hormones coming from a fellow pcos lady. Stay away from soy, sugar and to many carbs. I do eat mostly meat.

    I love that you said podunk. Big part of my friends vocabulary. I love your content it is something I seek out to watch. I’ve been here since the work out challenge days. You are so real! And so positive! Macros are my favorite weight loss thing for myself. And eventually I didn’t need to track anymore and more intuitively listened to myself. But also it’s not just hitting the % dead on. It’s enjoying food and getting close to the right macros.

    Sounds like a terrible idea if you are trying to reduce inflammation. Replacing all your dairy products with seed oils is not the solution

    Beatrice you are amazing !!! 💖 I think you are an amazing person! I have stopped eating a little and I am doing prolonged fasting. I can’t make the right choice every single day since I don’t have a solid fundamentals at home and I don’t get the support I need mentally from my partner. So I decided to do prolonged fasting between 65-90 hours and that has worked so well for me! I feel fantastic and I’ve lost weight and I perform even better in the gym when strength training! If you want I think this could be the journey for you to get to your goal weight.
    Maybe also get a checkup on your microbiom and also maybe get a food sensitivity check up to see if there is anything you are allergic or sensitive to and heal your gut along the way 💖

    I'm a little older than you, but found out my cholesterol was a bit high so I've cut out almost all meat, but I've cut out a lot of things that were high in saturated fat. The result has been a massive increase in fiber and just vegetables and fruits. I've gotten creative with using a lot of blitzed up beans and butternut squash to make things creamy or give it a "richer" texture and it's honestly been great. My husband and I have both lost weight and the post-meal brain fog has been way better. I've always been lactose-avoidant so the switch wasn't much for me. But! Look into low saturated fat recipes, it's been great :)

    Bea - my Guinea pigs loved going outside to my garden- you could fence off a little area for the & have them out while you visit the chickens. If you make it with a cover they can stay outside on nice days & graze. It would be a fun project & the piggies would love it!

    Hey Bea, another one of your older female friends here. You have always seemed to find your mojo when you challenged yourself to something new and “scary”. Maybe learn to paddle board, or go for a long weekend in California and take an intro to surfing lesson or take a tandem hanggliding/paragliding lesson. Or how about a flight lesson? The guy over your head doing circles was probably practicing his “turns around a point”. I am an airline pilot for a major airline, I’m probably one of the jerks messing up your videos flying in and out of Denver. So I can tell you with certainty, you could absolutely fly a plane. And as someone who has been where you are and has similar thoughts I think you are just in a safety rut. It’s time to shake up your “safe and predictable” daily life.     I had my own little crisis two years ago. I learned a lot from it. I just turned 39 and whenever I hear a 20 something person say they're waiting for the moment they figure everything out. Yeah, hun. That will never happen. We're all just going with the flow of life. Life is not something to figure out, it's just meant to be lived.

    Mum of a 10 month old, never felt more settled into my life before, always wanted to be a mum and I am just happy with my life, the mundane content and simple is what I truly needed, who’d have thought 😅 love you Bea, protein and hormones are a huge factor for my life too!

    It's been 4 years and me almost climbing up to Bea's initial weight and droping 35.5 kilos in one year. Still check in from time to time. Sad to see little to no progress despite drastic lifestyle changes. It seems our sweet girl Bea still hasn't figured out that CONSISTENTLY counting calories and keeping track of macronutrients while trying every fad on Earth is the actual main quest to this game.
    'Naaah, it'll be fine!' goes our brave Bea and continues on her merry way circling around unclear goals doing sidequests after sidefads in perpetual existential crisis. Why? Because the goals are ever shifting and there are no clear road maps in sight.
    Whatever goes up your street as you detour for yet another sidequest, though.
    One day it might actually work.
    Cutting out inflamatory factor is great idea, not being on hormonal meds is great idea, being active with chicks and homesteading is nice, and reducing cheese is great to reach caloric deficit. See? You have all the great ideas to move out, what's missing?
    Point is, since you don't track consistently, you wouldn't figure if fat and protein count from eggs would keep you sufficiently full in the same caloric budget as former foods selection. Eggs are great, but yolks are a bit extra in terms of fat. Good for recovering natural hormonal levels after hormonal BC and what have you, but it's safer to make scramble with 2 full eggs and extra egg whites, more protein for less calories and fat. I'd suggest cottage cheese, but since dairy is off the table, cutting out the most filling and bioavailable category of food there is, the best protein source for human, seems reckless. Mushrooms are barely digestable though they keep you full and go well with eggs. Beans in excess will likely give you enough gas to launch you to International Space Station. Vegan junkfood is still junkfood. All those 'milks' are even worse calorie-wise if you actually read nutritional facts.
    Bea, if I was an allistic 'ally' I'd smooch and coddle you for all the right baby steps you do and personality that you show, being honest and humorous despite being kinda stifled. But I actually went the distance with executive dysfunction, even though mine is a bit easier to hack into being useful, you just replace a bottle of vodka with a bottle of sparkling water in my hand and cheese with lean steak and salad on my plate and watch me melt away. Lack of dopamine and focus is understandable, but you gotta force yourself into the grind of keeping track while losing another train of thoughts, at least at first, and then every time you're about to fall off. It gets easier with time if you manage to form the habit and stick to it as your daily checklist dopamine hit boost.
    Nonetheless, best of luck. I will be waiting for you in my 150 lbs with my autistic love for c o n s i s t e n t l y l o g g i n g s t u f f.

    Another funny inspiring video. I have the same dairy sensitivity. I also stopped eating chicken/fowl, but I do eat salmon, tuna, beef, lamb, eggs, goat milk cheese and I did post some photos of my meals on X. I started getting in shape last November. at 88.5kg and now down to 71.4 today, with a goal of 68kg or "normal" BMI by my 66th birthday, which is in about 2 weeks. I hear planes overhead too, but I live near the Lebanese border, in Northern Israel. You might not be aware of how far TH-cam reaches. Goat cheese is easier for me to digest, and yogurt, but not every day. Same with eggs. My earliest memories are of chickens my father kept in Canoga Park in the 1950s. I still watch bird behavior. Your dogs are also beautiful, I have one about the size of a German Shepherd, but not sure what breed she is, I think Canaanite. She was very curious when I began exercising to your video just now.
    Your videos can help an entire generation of young women take control of their bodies. I began by meeting someone in Israel a few years ago who told me about intermittent fasting and the keto diet which had been called ages ago the Stillman diet, then there is also the Gerson fast. All of those work for me. What works best for me personally is extreme, eating every other day, one meal a day and the irony is I am not hungry, look and feel better and use very little pharmaceutical medicine now, and only to control Parkinsons tremors.
    I also have a problem with bloating. It occurs a few minutes after I eat any sugar or dairy. I have a slow digestion. One doctor said it is a very long intestine. I also like natural medicine/holistic approaches. My father was Polish, the Eastern Europeans do not buy into the whole BigPharma processed food and commercialized meds thing, and the more rural they are the less they consume processed foods. Some of the mountain people in Republic of Georgia live very long lives and they are not fat. The average Israeli is not fat, even women my age. Chunky. It's a kind of Russian tank lady build, the Russian peasant body I inherited, but thanks to TH-cam, I can work with that.
    I also had a kind of addiction for years to any kind of creamy food, like ice cream, eclairs, custards, vanilla anything (I still buy vanilla extract, but I put it in black coffee). This is some kind of misplaced expectation that the food will substitute for what I did not get as a child from my mother. I know that sounds Freudian, but that is what I came up with. Alcohol was for a long time the anesthesia that allowed me to filter out what I did not need to hear/attend to or feel, that stopped decades ago. But the food addiction continued until recently, less than a year ago.
    The reasons I have for getting in shape at this late date in my life have to do in part with new inspirations provided by young people such as yourself that have the courage to share your similar journeys, showing me it is doable and how you do it. The main reason is I am too tired to carry around extra weight. I live in a small place. I tossed all the old tiny print dusty paperbacks I had. I don't own a car or a house. I don't use credit. (Never a borrower or a lender be, Shakespeare). I don't listen to what does not interest me. I do not accumulate garbage, consume it or attend to it, nor do I invest my time in it. And I am starting to feel lighter. That is my goal. To take up less space, make less noise, and carry less burdens, mostly of those who seek to put them on me. I'll be the Teflon gal.

      Fellow carnivore here. It's been three years and I feel better now at 52 than I have since my late 20s. I was truly suffering both physically and mentally for many years and literally tried everything short of full vegan. The more plants I ate the sicker I got. Carnivore ended my suffering within the first month. It's hands down the best thing I've ever done for myself.

    Awesome job on the diet I am SO PROUD of you (and I say that as someone who has walked that path in many ways). The diet will start to make you feel better. Focus on hydrating (My DOC recently informed me that we are supposed to drink half our body weight in OUNCES.... lemme tell ya... lol das a lotta wata! So, keep an eye on your hydration, and focus on the delicious fruits and vegetables and whatever stuff non meat and dairy you like- you'll adjust before you know it and be feeling SOOOO much better. I'm so excited for you! The eggs, well I get that, you have chickens and, anyone who grew up IN America, will know they are not an easy one to give up. I believe you can do it, IF and WHEN you choose to. Meanwhile, idk, maybe you can sell them or something when they start producing, if you are at that point not eating them? Anyway I love this change for you, though I am sorry to hear you've been feeling lost. I've been feeling it too and you are NOT alone. And i'm not trying to sound tacky when I say things are getting better, they truly are. Things will start looking up. If we believe it, and trust the Universe has our back, it shows up to let us know it's true.     I’m 35 and at 32 was the biggest change i experienced!! It was hard. But I feel like I’m still working on myself. Being more aware of everything of me is what I feel makes everything so much harder.
