I have several autoimmune diseases that are easier to manage if I follow a more restrictive food plan. We found out about all this a few months after we were married. My husband has always been supportive of my need to eat differently and will even do the shopping and cooking for us. The only thing he does add is hot sauce! It’s nice to not be alone in the journey.

The overall dress is cute. How I decide which clothes to purge is every time I wash something and put it back in the closet, I put it back on the left side and scootch everything that's still in the closet to the right. Then I go through the stuff on the rightmost side and ask why I haven't worn it in months... If there's a good reason (seasonal/formal) it can stay, but if the reason is something to do with the way it feels against my skin or not liking the way it looks or the arms are too tight, then it GOES.
I hope she kept the overall dress!!

I also went gluten and dairy free this year because of having PCOS and it has been a benefit to my health. I would recommend embracing dishes that are not naturally containing gluten or dairy instead of trying to buy substitutes, like veggie stews and curries or just simple potatoes and vegetables meals. Good luck and love your videos!
These were my exact thoughts while watching. Substitutes are fine if you only do it occasionally. I think the biggest benefit of going gluten-free was just cutting out those unnecessary carbs and adding in a larger portion of vegetables for the added fiber. Keeping your insulin levels steady and fixing any metabolic syndrome issues is probably the biggest help in correcting PCOS.

BEST GF PIZZA CRUST RECIPE: Preheat oven to 450°F
You will need a candy thermometer. Place in freezer or in a cup of ice to get it at 0.
3/4c. warm water @ 120°F not hotter or you will kill the yeast
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 GF packet yeast
Heat water and temp before adding yeast. I found the closer to 120°F the better. Add sugar to heated water and stir to dissolve. Add yeast and let sit for 5mins. or until foam forms on top.
In mixer add:
2c. GF flour (I use Bob's Red Mill 1to1 Flour)
1 teaspoon Salt
1 egg
1 Tablespoon Olive oil
1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
-Mix together until well combined.
-Add foamy yeast mixture in and mix well.
-With oiled spatula or hands press dough onto parchment paper.
-Bake for 8-10mins. on cookie sheet or baking stone. (I adjusted oven rack to second from the bottom slot) Remove from oven then...
-Add toppings and bake for additional 8-10mins.
This crust will brown and will be crispy and taste SO good! My all time favorite recipe!
Pizza Sauce:
Blend 8oz. Tomato sauce with 1-2 cloves garlic, salt, oregano or Italian seasonings. Place in fine mesh strainer to drain excess liquid. Do not press sauce through, just let sauce sit in strainer and let excess liquid drain. Watery sauce will make the crust soggy. (Pro tip from Joshua Wiseman's channel)
Been GF for over 15yrs and have some pretty good recipes to share. I hope you try this pizza crust recipe. Out of all the ones I've tried this one is ligit! 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕

Vegan cheese for pizza (only works for pizza!):
Half a head of cauliflower
1/3 cup cashews
^ boil those 2 on the stove until cauliflower is soft
Once soft:
Put cauliflower and cashews in blender
Add
Soy milk (around 1/2 cup but you can add more if too thick)
Nutritional yeast- as much as you want at LEAST 4 tablespoons
Juice of half a lemon
2-3 tablespoons tapioca starch
Salt to taste (a decent amount since cheese is salty)
Blend until SUPER smooth
Bring to a boil quickly to activate tapioca starch. It will be like a thick sauce.
Spoon it over the pizza and swirl it in with the tomato sauce. Add a bunch of veggie toppings-whatever you want. It isn’t a stringy melted texture of cheese but the taste is AMAZING. Way better than the store bought fake gummy stuff. Highly recommend:)
Make sure the soy milk is unsweetened and not flavoured VERY important

Closet management 101: split everything into two piles: one for summer and one for winter. Put the pile that is not the current season away in storage to deal with later. Now your wardrobe is halved and you can focus on sorting out just your summer or winter clothes.this helped me so much bc you dont have to make a decision about everything all at once.

I tried but other than coats and some sweaters, most of my wardrobe is all season. And then in the winter when I bring out the sweaters, they're so bulky my closet is stuffed again :(

Thanks dor sharing the real struggle of having clothes because we have to cover ourselves and we want comfort, but we wouldn't miss any of our clothes because we feel no attachment at all to them. Many friends I have do not get this trait of mine. I am glad to know I am not the only one!!!!!!!

It’s harder to eat healthy when your partner has an unhealthy diet, and as a wife I always wanted to cook for my husband so I was stuck making 2 versions of every meal. Skinny jeans look good on every body type. That's why they were so popular for so long. The wide leg Gen Z jeans (which are just Gen X jeans from 1992) flatter very few people. So don't feel bad. It's not you, it's the jeans.
Personal opinion on skinny jeans is that they typically look horrible on 99% of people. I haven't found the 1%, but Im sure there is a unicorn somewhere. Most guys wind up with diaper butt. Or it looks like they were supposed to be shaped like sponge bob. Most ladies wind up with a weird combo of diaper butt, muffin top, and looking like they are going to burst out of the side seams. And for those that are thin enough to look like maybe they should look good in them typically have camel toe or look like either they have 4 inches too little at the top, or 6 inches too much.
Oh, and I disagree on Gen Z jeans just being Gen X jeans from 92..... unless they find vintage, cause some of us had high hopes for post pregnancy closets.... my youngest got lucky. Lol. But 90s jeans, at least the ones I had that were wider legs, something was different with the proportions and fit in the top. Im inclined to think they were possibly more mid-rise where current day is going more high rise..... so other than a lack of 70s style pockets they seem to read more 70s than 90s. Unless they are actually from the 90s which are certainly pricey if you didnt rummage through a parents closet. Mine tried to find another pair of her favorites from mine (KikGirl Kandyland pants).... she found some, but I think starting price was 150 at the time. Of course the unisex or guys versions were more common, but still up around 100 dollars a pair. Or maybe they just dont look right because no one wraps flannels around their waist anymore. 🤷♀️

I disagree! We just got very used to them. I remember we had a European exchange student come to our high school in the early 2000s and we were all still wearing flares and she wore skinny jeans and I thought they looked sooooo ridiculous because I wasn't used to them yet lol

The brand Simple Mills makes a gluten-free almond flour pizza dough mix that is really tasty and super easy to work with! I order mine from Amazon since a lot of stores don't carry it. Good luck with your newest food journey! Also, I am completely obsessed with that Jurassic World shirt and I'm now holding you fully accountable for the hours I'm about to spend scouring the interwebs looking for one 🤣

A few things, 1) the orange shirt was very flattering on you! 2) I’ve been gluten free for 15 years… it takes lots of trial and error to find recipes that work well and you’ll like. 3) dairy free cheese, try grating instead of chucks. I think you’d be happier with the outcome… while I don’t do liquid or soft dairy foods, I can’t live without real cheeses 😊

Someone probably posted this (I decided to not check all 634 comments) but kale you can remove the bottom of the stem (like flowers) and like flowers, put the stems in water to perk up/reconstitute the leaves. Put in the fridge. That will work for a couple of days, so don't wait on it. Also, glad you kept the striped pants!

Meant to say last time (but was listening while painting a garage on a ladder) that after having my boys im not able to properly digest animal products. A few tips, if wanted:
* use mock meats/cheeses occasionally. I would usually replace ground beef in tacos or sloppy joes with lentils, chopped walnuts and diced mushrooms sautéed together. The flavors and textures work really well together for me. But if someone was visiting, or if i was making a specific dish that I wanted to taste closer, id get beyond burger or something. As an example.
* Find a few quick and dirty staple dishes to be your go to. Makes it easier when you don't want to experiment or learn something new. A few of mine are bean and rice burritoes, a few grain bowls I've learned to make to my tastes, and a bunch of soups that are easy to portion and freeze.
There were more but those were the biggest
My favorite vegan pizza to make is Hummus veggie pizza. I do a califlower crust or regular crust doesnt matter with hummus as sause then put sautéed bell peppers, onions, banana peppers, and artichoke hearts with a few sundried tomatoes and a little bit of Daiya Moz. If you smoke it on the grill with cherry wood oh man best thing I've ever ate. It's good in the oven too! Veggies on the grill are so good! Makes me want to grill a veggie pizza tomorrow. Lol

Suggestion for gluten free doughs: usually they need more wet stuff than regular doughs. And pizza crust is usually best if it’s baked through, then put toppings on before another few minutes in the oven.

For developing your style, I really like Allison Bornstein 3 word method. First word should describe your most important preference, second word is aspirational- how would you like to look, third word should describe how you want to be perceived by others. It really helps realise why an outfit might not work, what the missing piece is. My words are light, neat, open. I’ve seen loads of different variations from people; athletic, goth, grunge, punk, minimalist, etc.
I can't stop laughing! Bea, I own that striped lighthouse sweater and I feel the same way. It has all the features to be cute, but it just doesn't work for me. After I bought it, I saw how good it looked on you, along with some woman in a random commercial, and thought maybe I should give it another chance. Every single thing you said about how you feel about clothing/style/your own wardrobe, I relate to it. I have no personal style, I wear things because they’re comfy and/or serve a purpose, and since I’m also on a weight loss journey, I like things just because they fit, not necessarily because of the style. It was so nice to hear someone else voicing the same things though! Hopefully we’ll discover our own styles one day and be super stylish girlies without the imposter syndrome. 🤣
Something my mom always said is don't get rid of winter clothes in the summer and don't get rid of summer clothes in the winter 😅 sometimes you're not feelin it but it's not the clothes it's the season!
It's funny how you are stumbling across all those "life question" things almost exactly at the same time as me. Got into sorting out my closet a while ago and dug into topics like "capsule wardrobes", wardrobe sorting apps like indyx, and finding out my color season, so I could shop my personal palette. It really helped a lot.

I have one small cabinet where I put stuff that doesn’t currently fit but I really love. I’m only allowed that amount of space. It’s come in handy several times when I’ve changed sizes. I have to really love the item though. Not just “it’s ok” stuff that’s the wrong size does not get to stay in the main closet area. A fun idea for a video would be getting a stylist
Ive lost a lot of weight over the last yearish. I learned if i try something on and I don't love it, then its a no. Sadly it has taken me forever it feels to find what I Love. I also had saved some clothes from when I was small hoping to lose the weight and before I started this journey, i threw them all away. I felt that i would be happy to get new to celebrate my weight loss.
Had a very stressful day at my job and coming home to see this made my day so much better, love your personality B! ❤️

Whoever thought I could laugh so hard watching someone clean out their closet, but I did. You say some of the funniest things IMO. I was planning on cleaning out my closet today but somehow I don't think I'll be laughing at all.
I have the same problem with my wardrobe. An interesting tip I saw from another youtuber is to pick a style, maybe even make a mood board, and keep the clothes that fit that in your closet. The rest should be stored/decluttered. I haven't tried this yet but it seems to make sense
