- In an attempt to de-clutter the Lair, Aurelio Voltaire tosses his old pipe and drape wardrobe and goes about sourcing the building of a custom coffin-shaped wardrobe. A tour of Gothic clothing stores provides some inspiration as to what to fill it with. Special appearances by Adora Batbrat, Victoria Lovelace and Lilian Tod.Orville, as usual, is of no help at all!

Yeah, it certainly looks like he dedicated a lot of time (and money) to create these episodes and they all turned out really well so var^^
in his newest noose letter (Jan 2017) that I oddly enough JUST watched, dude said he spent 10s of thousands of dollars todo all this. I'm not even surprised by that number after seeing all he did. he dun turned a NY shoe box into a mini goth mansion, it's so freaking cool.

I'm not gothic but I do love the essence of gothic style and just how gorgeous it is. This series is making me want to go from "normal" housewife to "dark" housewife.

There's a ton and a half of awesome in this episode, but Oh My Goth, if I ever get to NY, I'm hitting Gothic Renaissance like a bolt of lightning in a classic Universal horror. BOOM!
Once you have enough of these you should really put them on DVD. I know I would buy one!

I personally love using the cabinet designers at Lowes. Just tell them how big it needs to be, and I have found that they will design it, cut out the pieces, show you what metal supplies you need and send your happy butt home. I built a perfect cabinet that adults can also sit on using their design person.

I'm poor enough and hands-on enough that I'm willing to spend several years amassing a wardrobe like this by making it all myself.
I have four years of college to go before I go out into the world. I'll use that time wisely.
That's what I thought, too. Now, six years later, I've not had the time to make barely anything :/ (Part of it was that there was no way I could have a sewing machine in the tiny, tiny dorms and roommates aren't fond of all the noise). But, I'm hoping to turn that all around soon!

I wish we had a gothic clothing store where I live, however I have to shop online because I live in New Mexico in a small ski town and there is nothing like that here. I am going to go check out the Gothic Renaissance shop now :)

We built some Halloween props last year, one of them was a stacked skull and bones fountain that reminds me of your table. Now I have the itch to build again. That table is fantastic! You should try some cemetery fencing for your walls - PVC pipe, furring strips and some fence fenials, that would make your walls that much more amazing!

It saddens me that the Gothic store in NY is permanently closed. One of the true staples in the village along with Virgin Records music store and the Halloween store that was close by the Gothic store. No one knows what is good anymore! I would like to get back into dressing goth. Now we have to rely on online stores. Also, HUGE fan of your song When You're Evil! Listened to it since I was a wee lass! Aw man, I'm so jealous. We only have a very small, extremelly overprized goth store in my city. It doesn't even sell shoes, much less masks or armor. (And no I don't live in a small village or something, I live in the capital)
The day I travel abroad, first thing I'm doing is visiting every goth store and buying it all.

I had my coffin Wardrobe made by Raxfox designs. He really made it for a very fair price! Because I was local to him I paid 450€ and its gorgeous. Adora and Victoria are so sweet! I really love how fun and lovely they are. That site you recommended looks awesome. I will have a look for sure! I know who is my go to for custom stuff locally but its always nice to have something like that for other things I might be interested in having made. This series is so inspiring and awesome. I really cant wait to move to a bigger place and decorate a lair how I want. I would do the place I live in but since I want a party pad for my grufti friends in Leipzig I need something bigger for absinthe parties :D

This is such a great show! There is so much you can take away from this show and put your own personal taste to it if a gothic lair is not for you. I'll be sad when this series is over.

Sometimes the conversations are a little cringey. Maybe it's just me?
I don't see why lite vaudeville style comedy would make anyone cringe.... but that's just ME. Perhaps millennials are just using the word CRINGE wrong. It has a VERY strong meaning ( or use to, anyway)
I get that word quite a lot myself. I think it's akin to 'LOL'. I'm finding that millennials use a lot of words quite frivolously which really harshifies a statement-- Yes, I made up a word in a comment pertaining to linguistics. I need a nap.
@Angela Benedict YES! They really suck the meaning out of a lot of words... but then I guess that could be said about teenagers in any generation. "AWESOME" drove me completely crazy in the 80s when used to describe things that were not the least bit awe inspiring... I guess I was already an old curmudgeon even back then! LOL!
By the way, yes, you are right, nowadays it's everywhere. Basically if you trip over something and fall, that's considered cringey.
They use it instead of 'awkward', I think. They don't use it wrong, just overuse it, so the original meaning got way weaker.
We use cringe so much that it doesn't have the power it used too. Now cringe just means awkward.
