I got the Harley Benton version of this a mahogany bodied kind of parlour/travel guitar at £85. And you know its the only guitar i have ever bought that needed nothing doing to it out the box, incredible. This one of yours Rich sounds and looks great.
Oh man I like that a lot mate! Very tempted to get one of those! I have a black Fender acoustic dreadnought which I don’t play very often. I might sell it and get one of these. 👍🏻 Is the body thinner than a standard acoustic ?
Awesome guitar! Love it. I've actually been wanting one of these models, or similar... for a long time now. I love the Strat style head-stock on these! It really does look so Cali ! Cool guitar, Rich. Man a lot of fun can be had with that baby.... plugged in, or not plugged in. Any ole' time you felt like it.
Hi! Nice guitar. Two, stupid questions. Is the body very small? And the neck, is it a slim neck? I mean it says so, but tried one long ago that had a really chunky neck 😅.
@@thenovicenoisemaker Thank you so much for answering my questions :). Maybe I’ll have to pull the trigger on one now :). Was looking for a somewhat smaller guitar with a slim neck. I got tiny hands 😂. Thanks again!
Looks like a pretty nice guitar for a ton and a half. Certainly sounds good. To answer the 'why acoustics have flatter and often wider fretboards?' question: Part of it is a continuation of the tradition of classical gut/nylon strung acoustics having a wider flat fretboard, which facilitates intricate fingerstyle playing, part of it is to assist with full-string-width bottleneck slide playing, and last but not least, it makes it easier to have a lower action, which amongst other things, makes playing it easier and helps with string bending on a lower action. Doing stuff such as the speedy hammer ons and pull offs on a tune such as Led Zeppelin's acoustic guitar classic Over the Hills and Far Away, is somewhat easier with a wider and flatter fretboard. In fairness, I would say the fretboard on that one you have isn't really that flat compared to some acoustics out there - even Fender ones - you should see how wide and flat the neck is on my old Fender MA-10 acoustic (don't think Fender make them any longer), which given that it is parlour-sized and it has a neck body join at the 12th rather than the fourteenth fret as most steel strung acoustics do, was clearly aimed at blues slide playing, which is exactly what I do use it for.
What a difference removing the drum skin makes! 😀👌 I totally don't "need" one of these... but the gas has started bubbling away already 🙈 Thanks Rich! 🧐 😜
@@thenovicenoisemaker Looks perfect for a buskers rig - nice and compact, electro etc - Great stuff 😀👍 Obvs it's the Martin and Taylor price bracket I'm looking towards now with the "youtube fortune" 🤑🫰 😜
Sounds nice that ,, much better than the 💩 one I bought , mine has a bowed back , it’s really hard to hold , I restrung it last week and bought the wrong size strings ( 13’s I think,) like tow ropes 😂, but yeah that is a nice one you’ve got there 👍👍🤠🎸
@@thenovicenoisemaker i know, 😂 they were only a fiver, needed to make up an amazon order to 25 quid so I just bought them , never thought to check the gauge 😂😂😂, I’ll get some different ones and try again

Thank you Michelle. I had an HB Parlour, great little guitar. This one is bigger but still compact

Help hello!
Body is small for an acoustic yes, still fairly thick but comfortable. Neck is genuinely slim like a Squier strat

Didn’t think about slide, good point!! I’d love to be able to play some slide stuff
