I would have to agree with you on the fender Mexican telecaster , at the time when I bought mine ,, I really didn’t know much about them and none of my friends so I thought I would see what they are all about, at first. The neck felt fair since I have been playing a music master 2 single pick up which was made in 1968. So I had been use to the sweet vintage warm sounds But ,, did I get a surprise the new telecaster wasnt nothing to compare to my old music master. The telecaster. I had the blond maple neck change out to a rose wood. Neck made by squire.,, it had came off of a. Older telecaster then I had the new bridge change out. Went over to the brass saddle , now the telecaster has a warmer sound at the neck It has a long way to go before. it sounds any where near the old 1980 mustang or the 1968 music master guitars I would been better off just went and bought another vintage elec guitar.

Remember Rich that it's your job that has been made redundant, not you!!!

You just answer my questions about the difference of the two fender guitars ,, my self I bought the Mexican fender telecaster for 600 dollars last year and did not like the sound of the picks so I had music shop to change out the pick up, to Vintera ‘50s Vintage Which made a great sound that I liked and I went to 11 strings for a warmer sound

Mate, I feel your pain. I was made redundant end of 2019 After 20 years in the textiles industry. It is an awful feeling but there are plenty of other things out there, I have spent the last 4 1/2 years retraining to be an electrician ( full apprenticeship) at an age where even I thought was too old to learn something new but it was the best decision i made albeit a challenging time monetary wise. You seem a very similar character to myself with your youtube videos and your personality that you display and i am sure like me you will persevere. Onwards and upwards mate, see it as an opportunity to achieve something different I know you can do it. All the best Sam.

Over the years I’ve been laid off a number of times, I’ve been in companies that have gone under - in all cases I ended up realising soon after that it was a good thing as it led to me finding something better. Brighter days ahead, keep smiling.

You personally have not been made redundant, it's the job which you were doing which became redundant. Recognising this is the case makes a big difference in terms of how your self esteem enables you to deal with such a situation, in order to maintain your mental well being instead of taking it personally and getting down about it. On the immediate face of it, it's a setback to be sure, but in the longer term it is an opportunity; when you realise that, you'll make your situation better than it was, and it'll doubtless turn out to have been a good thing. You can't keep a good man down; it just can't be done.

I've been made redundant 3 times in my career. On the first two occasions for me, like everyone I know who got made redundant, it all worked out for the better. The last occasion, a couple of months ago, I decided feck it I'll just retire, I'm 66 after all. But it still stung and on the previous occasions it was worrying, but it all worked out for the better in the end. Keep your chin up and keep fighting. Your playing is actually pretty good mate!

Ive always been very impressed with any of the blackstar amps Ive tried. I had a practice amp (sounded great, I just went with the NUX mighty lite 2 just for "more" options, allows me to do some very cool stuff with my main modeller unit as well), and tried a couple of blackstars in the shop. They really do just have something for everyone I feel. Really like that clean and dirtier clean sound out of it with the Silver Sky, sounds great. Just looking up the combo version of this. Might be something I look at if I move away from my Harley Benton tube amp.

My Player Telecaster goes everywhere with me in my Truck. Best guitar by far. Love It.

That’s so funny because I couldn’t stand the sound of the catalyst. Just couldn’t get any good tone out of it imho. My champ 100 is amazing now that the speakers are broken it. That’s the thing about it you have to break it in first to hear the real tone of the amp.
