A very interesting and timely topic. Exercising "freedom" (the wrong way) is going to tear the world and humanity. The problem, I think, is mis-use of "freedom" and "hierarchy" as well. Well done Dr. Hasan Spiker, and God bless you both for this informative presentation.

How is the tabula rasa/blank slate was anyway related with the voluntarist interpretation of reality at all? It is one thing to recognise and being imposed by the right objective struture on the mind that is capable of reciving them (while having no prior concept or not) and it is another thing to say tabula rasa lead to voluntarism.
Only half way through, but could one argue that hierarchy today is not entirely abolished and exists in the form of economic value. Or perhaps in a utilitarian sense in the maximizing of pleasure for the greatest number of people such that entertainers are richly rewarded by society whilst care workers can barely expect to survive.
As a Muslim who grew up in a western, non Islamic environment, it is not hard to see that hierarchy as understood and and antagonised by liberal thought, is not the natural and therefore Divine hierarchy of creation, but the man made hierarchy of oppressive institutions both secular and religious, that have nothing of natural, let alone Divine, about them. We should always be aware of the context in which certain thoughts are developed, in order to understand and criticize them: saying "that is not what hierarchy means" would not help if that is what hierarchy (or any other concept) is understood to mean in a given context.
