Avatar battle is so funny because you can someone with three healthbars, a teleport, and an SPD, and you’re fighting someone who hasn’t unlocked the drive gauge yet
My custom character only has cool looking abilities that dont even combo with each other lol

We’re getting closer and closer to the day where Marisa can TOD you off of a punish counter
I find it strange how they have Ryu label as "Balance" and Ken is label as "Power" type characters, but Ryu hits way harder..lol
Because Ryu is not corner carry while Ken will get you into DI loops in the corner after one combo. Strong punches mean nothing if you can't pressure at all.
@@Agent_A_Graham think the tricky tag would've been better for ken. Dudes got insane high low mix and a great throw game on top of decent damage and neutral skips like run dp and heavy dragon lash
I would personally refer to them as power and speed. Ken gets to his damage faster, but ryu will hit harder given the right circumstances
Punish counter cut kick in the corner while you have denjin up is not verly likely to happen ever

But the crazy part is ken has the power type 🤷
Ryu has some insanely damaging corner combos... the problem is getting to the corner in the first place, lmao. Ken may have less damage potential overall, but his corner carry potential trumps over Ryu any day. Really funny in an ironic sort of way.
Ryu has much more damaging combos but Ken has far more ways to apply his. Ryu is pretty straight forward to deal with. He’s lacking in the gimmick department when compared to Ken who has multiple ways to not only approach his opponent but also decide where on the stage they’re going to end up.

I think Punk just coined the term "tournamentionable" to describe any combo that's swag and damaging as hell but simple enough to do under stressful tournament situations....Ok so maybe I just coined the term. The funny thing about the Create a Character combo is that Luke and Marisa are like the earliest styles you get from world tour. You'll have to wait to get Jamie's lvl 3 extender, but you can have access to that loop almost immediately (if you can do the Perfect Knuckles).

The funny thing is that the combo this Guy did is not even optimal, for a lvl2 combo, Also he did it on a big character which makes it hundred times easier, i actually got one of those lvl2 combos against a Juri online

Personally, I love how some heavy moves charge into a free ex. Like Cammy heavy hooligan into mid-air, grab into cannon into spiral.
11:26 if you do stlk and cancel into heavy donkey kick, it shimmies people often fall for it, especially if you drive rush into the lk (still works despite the reduced pushback).
if they tech it will get punish counter and you can easily land the 6.7k dmg combo but they block you die :)

I know I’m late but that Jamie combo is still widely used, and I just wanted to be the one pointing out that finishing with OD Bakkai after lvl3 super is the actual optimal route.
It does about 300 more dmg and costs 1 less drive bar. And honestly, easier to execute too.
At 6:27, i wonder if the 3rd l knuckle is needed to be fully charged instead of perfect for the step kick to land afterwards

The guy talks trash but if he loses, he immediately hops onto Twitter to make up an excuse. The controller was broken, the monitor was laggy, there was a red light nearby, his opponent smelled, Blanka’s too cheap, Manon’s too cheap, Leo was in his bracket, the tournament was badly organised (refused to elaborate to the organiser), the game is too easy for him etc. It’s poor sportsmanship. Nowhere near the GOAT.

Complain about my characters not being in the game -> Focus cancel into open SF4 -> Sakura lock in.
or
Complain about my characters not being in the game -> V-trigger cancel into open SF5 -> Psycho power infusion.
Maybe next year my characters might be in, I hope I'm not to far behind by then.

The Ken combo 4:23 in could have been better. They could have done a forward heavy off the second Jinrai kick into an EX dragon flash kick; into the gauge three super.
