Noted the same thing, but reading the name plate, the brand is Auto Diesels Ltd. Interesting they made a small gas generator. Looks to be the same size approximately as my 2 cylinder Montgomery Wards plant from the same time period. 4 pole like mine, but this is 50 HZ instead of 60 HZ like mine, so it is running 1500 RPM instead of 1800 RPM. That explains the very large flywheel.

The engine is from Citroen 2CV and it is not diesel probably company that build generator is named auto diesel 😊
