It adds the option for fog lights!! And I’m not 100% sure if you need it. I’m pretty sure it will work without it also. You may need to bend down the tfl pin for it to work.

Did this on a 2001 jetta that has gti headlights with the built in fogs... This keeps the running (city) light on when the high beams are on, but not the low beams. What am I missing?

Got the same light and a euro switch. Done it just like that and nothing. Bent the tap down like you said in previous comment and still nothing

Did you try bending back the tfl pin on the headlight switch?
@@prestofixit3518 bending it back is the same as diconnecting the wire....so I disconnected the wire. No difference.
So when you turn the lights on, only the lows are on? And when you hit high, it stays with high and low? Am i right?
