James R Barker-still my favorite
James R. Barker has a beast horn.
I love the Arthur M. Anderson is my favorit . I love all the ships blowing their horns that is so awsome and amazing.
I don't think we ever saw her in this video. We saw her sister, the Cason J. Callaway, though...
James R. Barker rules all, destroys all, CONQUERS ALL. No offense to all the other boats though!
Also so the Corts regular deep sounding horn still works
..never saw the Paul J. Martin.. and.. @ 1:45 .. the closest thing to hearing a freighter fart..lol
lol!
What lol 😂
Really nice recap of the year, thank you Alaric
Sorry it was so ridiculously long.
alaricdogface no need to apologize! I loved it😊
Have a great winter!
Great Queens of sea...
They are pretty cool I think. 😁
Those Lakers in winter time at the end, simply awesome views!
The winters get pretty crazy around here!
Good old Calloway with her front horn
Easier on the crew
Robert Poirier
Actually it’s her Stern horn just like the Anderson
Nicely done!
Imagine all the boats that were in the video had dual horns.
It would be a symphony 🔊🔊🎶🎶🎶
10:50 man the Latimer does weird salutes
@@CommuterRailProductions 2 long 2 short, whatever that means 🤷♂️
Between 2:45 and 2:59 that guy in the green shirt that’s my dad
I want that hat!
@@alaricdogface the hat my dad is wearing is a Tilley
I am new to all of this, but I'm really enjoying the videos. I was wondering if new lakers are being built as the old ones are scrapped. Are the new ones in the 1000 ft range? Sorry if my questions sound silly.
No new 1000 footers but Canada Steamship Lines and Algoma Central have new ships that were built in China.
Another good video...
Nice and noisy!
When Are you going to make a part1 for 2018
Probably be up next week some time.
2:13 Wait.. Is that Sam Laud making a salute right there?
No I think it's the Cason J Callaway.
@@alaricdogfaceNo no not that, the black one it's either Sam Laud, it must be John J Boland or whoever that is.
@@orionharmon6017 oh yeah, the John J Boland is right after the Callaway. That must be it.
@@alaricdogface Yeah I recognized that salute anywhere, that must be her or H Lee White because I believe H Lee White has the same horn salute as John J Boland
i want to know if the Charles M. Beeghly is scrapped. is it?
Nope - rechristened as the HON. JAMES L. OBERSTAR
Compro por 100bilhoes todos os navios que estão nesse vídeo para a marinha mercante do rio de janeiro brasil
How about some updated pictures
The latest in this series is the 2019 shipping season part 2
Which freighter is 9:48?
John D Leitch
I've heard that the Edward L. Ryerson might be scrapped. MAYBE.
It is a possibility.
alaricdogface I hope not because she’s to beautiful
most people say she as has 45% chance of being scrapped in the future. I say 90% because she would have to be a self unloader to unload at most ports. The John Sherwin has a better chance of survival because her cargo hold would be the easiest to convert to Self unloading. Sherwin has about i say a 45% chance of being scrapped in the near future.
@@northstarstatepolitics1652 I would like to see both back on the lakes, I know it's easy for me to say, because I wouldn't be the one putting money, time, and effort into converting them, but i hope it happens eventually
@@mountainanderson5597 however, the likely hood we see the sherwin AND the Ryerson ever operate again are scarce.
James rbarker
🔊🔊🔊🔉🔉!!!
Well the callaway has lots to say
true
16:52 that aint right
Sometimes the Barker only gives us one of its dual horns. 🤷♂️
@@alaricdogface Thats not one of the duals, Thats its bow horn.
@@northstarstatepolitics1652 oh okay
