I love my 2012 Voyager. I had a '86 Voyager XII (Year one) before. The only downfall I find with the 2012 is the lack of Kawasaki aftermarket items. Most you have to buy Harley things and adapt them. Overdrive 1 (5th gear) I stay in til I hit about 70. Then 2nd overdrive (6th gear) fits perfectly. Especially on flat stretches. I usually keep my RPMS around 2700 - 3000. I've done several long haul trips from Buffalo, NY to TN (10 - 12hr rides) and I'm comfortable with the stock seating. The 50s dash is beautiful.Just wish they'd upgrade the sound system to Bluetooth.
I really have fallen for my Vaquero - it’s so light and nimble on its feet - completely different from a Harley road glide, faster than a 103, 44mpg, and once you’ve pumped up the shocks to 25lbs and put the rebound on #3 goes around corners at good speed - she’s a 6 speed with a double overdrive 5th and 6th are both overdrive gears - 6th is for the highway only. And - it has stone axe reliability at half the cost of an American tourer - just make sure you get the Ivan tune which is an absolute must for improved engine response. Amazing deals in the used market and the engines are absolutely good for 100k
I have a 2007 Vulcan 900 had it 3 yrs now and love it ,white walls and chrome . I am currently looking at a gently used Vaquero or Voyager , Thanks for a great review ,you have done a great job explaining the ride and the bike in general so thank you .I'm liking it even more now. When I get mine I will take it for a ride from Toronto to Florida on it and park it at my winter place , to cold to ride here in the winter ,I'll keep my 900 in Toronto for the summer . Cheers from Toronto .
I've never owned or ridden an Indian, but I have owned and ridden Harleys! I currently own and ride a 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager 1700, and mine is the same color scheme as the one in the video, and it is BY FAR a MILLION TIMES BETTER than ANY Harley I've ever owned or ridden or ANY Harley that any of my friends and relatives have ever had! There's absolutely NO CONTEST! The Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager is HANDS DOWN a MUCH BETTER bike than ANY Harley! It weighs almost 900 pounds but it is very well balanced and easy to handle and maneuver. And the stock seat is COMFORTABLE enough for an ALL DAY RIDE! Definitely my favorite bike I've ever owned!
Nice bike. First thing I'd do to this Kawaharley, is cut the windshield down to the right height. Rule of Thumb , "Top of Windshield " should be level with your nose. I used the curvature of a table with cardboard for the template to cut the windshield. This worked out great. Take Care and Ride Safe.
I have a 12 voyager. The left pocket has a dual wire harness to plug an adapter for BTW or whatever. Kawasaki doesn't provide anymore. I found one in a voyager group for 140 and bought a Bovey 1000 bt adapter handlebar controls include volume, skip but no on screen display of music.. love it only 44k with zero issues.
Get rid of that massive container blocking the dash
Carry your water in the trunk

Had mine fitted with a power commander, then had her dynode. My 6th gear gives me pulling power, and Im getting 48-50 mpg on the freeway :)

@@zachredner8 I agree with you. Thank you
LOL you tell um, Thata boy, take that you Harley dudes LOL You the man, YEAH HM HMM. I love this guy.
What do you think about the jerky throttle though? I think this bike would be almost perfect if that was more like a Harley.
I own one also, the Kawaharley , to me, is better bike by far , than a Harley.

Pity that you didn't open it up on the interstate, seems like it would be happy at higher speeds.
@@FairladyS130 this bike definitely lives on the interstate at higher speeds.
I have vibrations at speeds between 120 km/h and 150 km/h. How are you?
What was the maximum speed you did on it?
@@superbia_SanYch 90mph (150 km/h) with ease and no vibrations. I switch to the overdrive gear at around 75mph (110 km/h).
@@GypsyRider2024 Everything was decided by balancing the front wheel. The vibrations are gone and now at 160 speed everything is fine.

@@garycoles8796 excellent thank you. I have also added an adapter and Bluetooth to be able to use my phone and hear the music over the speakers.
The reason you can remove the keys is so you can open the trunk and bags without shutting down the engine - which is a wonderful piece of equipment
oh, that was a good one
Yes that clunk. 1st and 2nd. Makes me cringe top gears fine. My 20yr old VULCAN
Haha. It’s what they do. :)
I like the bang and clack between first and second, wakes up the drivers around you, hahaha.
Schönes Video - tolle Maschine - super Informationen 👍👏
Thank you 🙏
