Nice one, Bri. I started using Ventoy a couple of days back. So far used it for Linux Mint, Suse Leap and Ultimate Boot CD. Great to just be able to drop multiple isos on rather than having to overwrite with Rufus when something different is wanted.
As I said, I've tried and this small program is one of the end solution. No more burning of DVDs, no more formating the USB drive. With this the whole process of Rufus and Balena Etcher are skipped. I really love it. And Thanks.

No doubt! This is the very best utility I ever used. My USB stick carries now over 30 different bootable ISO tools and OS'ses. No so complicated to set up your USB stick or memory card.

Interesting. Until now I always created those sticks myself with a lot of manual work, especially since UEFI and classic dual boot support. It got easier recently as I simply dropped support for CSM boot.
I completely agree with you that this is the best utility for installing softwares But you forgot to mention that you could also drop any type of files in the ventoy disk Without ruining the ISOs and installers. It is best thing since sliced bread .😁
It's an amazing tool! I have an external 256GB SSD drive that I used to use for backups, etc. I installed ventoy on it. So I have all my Linux ISOs, rescue ISOs, AV boot ISOs, WIndows Recovery, Windows Install, etc.. PLUS you can store non ISO files as well. So your favorite utilities etc... The SSD is so much faster than FLASH boot and install times are reduced. I use it to test new distros live first before attempting to install them.
Reminds me of "drive droid" on a rooted phone. The beauty of drive droid is you can instantly download a new iso on the go and just mount it in a few seconds (no PC needed)

Just a quick note, it might be a good idea to enable "Secure Boot" before you make the drive, you will find that in the options, a padlock will appear where it says Ventoy in package, and Ventoy in device.

Been using this for a few months now and it works flawlessly. I have W10 and W11 installers as well as some utilities, my favourite being HBCD which has a Windows PE GUI with a bunch of very useful apps baked in.
I have seen this video back then and it just has been recommended to me again. What can I say, this thing made me a happier IT guy :D ...I since then have a 32GB San Disk Stick named Ventoy with all kinds of stuff on it from Windows 10 over gparted live, dban, linux distros, you name it. Wanna install a new distro somewhere? Download the iso directly to the stick and go. One of the best tech tips ever, the video title is 100% accurate. And no, not affiliated with or sponsored by britec. Honest opinion, eff off :P

Ventory is awesome. Finally a proper replacement to Yumi that I can run on my linux pc and simply drop isos on a flash drive and have them be bootable. definitely beats fiddling with writing a grub menu with some questionable scripts someone wrote. lol
I would like some multiboot installer that would allow for using essentially virtual drives, so I could boot a fully installed custom version of Windows or Linux or whatever
Did you watch the video? Ventoy is not about having a bootable stick "with a single set of tools", it's a bigger concept... a bootable stick with several images at the same time, so you can have with minimal effort (install ventoy + copy images), a single bootable stick with multiple images (Hiren's, cdrecover, GParted, linux distros, etc).
I discovered the most important tool to be the Brain-bootstrap-process-manager. Something needed to remember one's own prior setup, or recovery procedure previously tested with confidence. Knowing that the desired existing operating system failing to boot because of unwittingly botched priority issues in a multi-operating system machine will be found correctly on the SSD it was seen last.
This is the first video I watch from this channel, and is just useful (like VERY useful), straight to the point and well made and also explained. You got my subscription, sir.
Previously I worked with unetbootin, LinuxLive USB Creator, Etcher (and its fork, balena etcher), tried also the dd technique... Then I've found Ventoy. Way more convenient, just drag & drop any ISO. also, pretty useful to quickly check if an ISO (or other extensions) file is valid without needing to decompress files in the big file. Also, on a sidenote, it's always faster to move a big file than a thousand tiny files, so, Ventoy does the best job ever. Big thanks for the huge file-extension compatibility-list. It's both impressive and convenient to these devs, kudos to them !

I was trying a few out but couldn’t figure out what is best I would like to put on a few different windows 10 ISO and if you antivirus tools (I live in a country with many common languages) UEFI is extremely important to me, Secure boot is also a bonus I also want to drop the ISO onto the USB drive with 0 modification

Totally brilliant . . . . for anyone who knows what an ISO is or how to find/create one. I'm in the process of selecting a new Windows 10 PC for a second location and want to duplicate my present system on the new one. This video seems like a great help to almost all other commenters, but I feel so fuggin stupid.
It looks like a useful tool, I don't know about anyone else but I can never find the USB drive I need and usually end up making a new one, with everything on one drive it'll be much easier to keep track of a single drive instead of the many I already have and keep misplacing.
Thank you this is the kitchen sink for multiple ISO utilities on a drive. This is going to change everything for me because for this function, I have to carry multiple USB flash drives with a single distro.
Came here to post about E2B, was not disappointed to see that someone had already mentioned it :) Edit: After watching the whole video, and seeing how easy it is to add/remove bootable images, I think I'm definitely going to have to check this out further. It is *such* a pain to have to convert half of my ISOs to imgPTN files just so they will boot from my E2B drive. Not to mention having to boot and reboot to change from BIOS and UEFI mode. Will be checking this out very soon.

I have heaps of USBs around with different install ISOs on them ... now I can put them "all" on one or two large USBs! _Oh, and I believe the Linux or Windows install is specific to the OS that creates the Ventoy utility USB ... once created, it's the same utility ... and you can have both Linux Windows ISOs on it together and I presume other OS ISOs such as Mac and Andriod, etc... one way to find out!_

Work in IT myself and am a wage slave for the NHS, but I did, in my early days repair a lot of home computers for family and friends and even sub-contract once. I gave this a try about a week ago but didn't have very much luck on any of the 3 older computers one did not find the USB stick and one would try to boot and I got an error and the other booted but then I tried to install Windows 10 Windows 10 could no longer find the setup files needed for the setup so I then used Rufus windows 10 booted and installed just fine on all 3 computers I used the same iso and usb stick Ventoy is a very cool idea but in my opinion compatibility is not good yet I have had more luck with YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator I still had problems with it too can only put one version of windows on it the last time I tried it seems like none of the utilities are perfect

It would appear to be a really great tool, but the one thing not covered in the video is where to get the many different ISO files. Now that would be a great addition to the video for sure.
What point you trying to make? That there's a lot more options for linux operating systems or that you aren't interested in having windows and linux on the same drive?

Other than ISO's, you can do that without using Ventoy. It is used at bootup for ISO's as you cannot use just any file at bootup.
So...it's user friendly interface to bootstrap?

I used various softwares but this is so simple and full UEFI and Legacy support in a single USB.

Nice. Its annoying to carry all the USB drives for different ISOs to boot. Feels like carrying an extra key chain.
Its worked with every bootable ISO I have thrown at it. Worth readin the Doc's on download site for custom tips.

how funny, this program can make your usb from 32gb to 64gb in a blink.. (or you just didn't mention you changed usb in the mid of the video)
maybe he got only 1 Partition with 32 GB and the rest wasnt fromated

@@remcovangoozen6146 but i got the same xD my was 32 GB formated and after installing the tool it was 64 GB so it works :P i think i formated it with 32 GB because of Windows or so xD
Thanks for the interesting videos, I don't know why, but Steve Wright of BBC radio fame comes to mind with the sound of your voice. discovered you during the lockdown. Work in IT myself and am a wage slave for the NHS, but I did, in my early days repair a lot of home computers for family and friends and even sub-contract once. Silly question, but where can I get ISO's for Win PE, etc...?

I gave this a try about a week ago but didn't have very much luck on any of the 3 older computers one did not find the USB stick
and one would try to boot and I got an error and
the other booted but then I tried to install Windows 10 Windows 10 could no longer find the setup files needed for the setup
so I then used Rufus windows 10 booted and installed just fine on all 3 computers I used the same iso and usb stick
Ventoy is a very cool idea but in my opinion compatibility is not good yet
I have had more luck with YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator I still had problems with it too can only put one version of windows on it the last time I tried it seems like none of the utilities are perfect
You can try changing the boot mode to legacy only, legacy+uefi or uefi only and try again. It is a bit finicky with old hardware.

The toolkit is what you make it. Everyone will have there own favourite tools

On it's own this software doesn't fix anything.
It requires you to add tools to it in the form of iso .
I'd say toolbox more than tool kit but it's super useful and simply explained. Good effort. Plus you mentioned some good tools to put in the box. Well done
unet bootin is not going to be happy, but I'm glad to find this video, one of my thumbdrives corrupted from numerous formatting. I wish this was made earlier

It would appear to be a really great tool, but the one thing not covered in the video is where to get the many different ISO files. Now that would be a great addition to the video for sure.
Just wondering about the "commercial" ISO's. Are they licensed or is just a way to install and pay later?

Create directories, and then drop similar ISO's into the same directory.

What point you trying to make? That there's a lot more options for linux operating systems or that you aren't interested in having windows and linux on the same drive?

all modern computers in the last 6 years or so support UEFI. This tool will work. may have to prep it from a linux or windows machine/VM though.
