    That’s crazy, I just signed up for Rover, I’ve been doing wag for about a month and love it so I thought I’d try Rover too for more opportunities. I had a walker cancel on me on Wag the moment I got there but since I was already on my way Wag charges them a $25 cancelation fee to pay me for the wasted time. Everyone told me Rovers better so I woulda thought they would do that too smh

    • @IzzyChouinard

      Wow I didn’t know that about Wag, I wish Rover did that!

    • @DanielleVoiculescu

      Rover allows cancellation fees, now. They let the dog walker decide how "strict" their cancellation policy is.

      Hey! I actually went full time on rover :') and i made my very first video on it! I started my video from scratch and its my full time job!! I was inspired by your video to make my own video about it :) I made over 10,000 this past month!!! but after rover fees, I only made a little over 8,000 :( But its definitely doable!!!! On- demand dog walking through Wag does sound like a great way to build experience but not being able to do a meet and greet with owner and dog before booking the walk like Rover has is a major turn off for me. I’m new Rover with no clients yet. It’s frustrating but all you do is be patient

      Once you meet the customer, why not cut Rover out of the middle and tell them to just call you?

    • @m.k.h.2718
      @m.k.h.2718 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@rickycain3141 Because middle parties like Rover can hold dog walkers accountable. Dog walkers for Rovers have to log their walk, and sometimes take pictures of proof that the dog has indeed been walked. Some customers like myself don't mind paying a little more just to make sure there are assurances that the service actually took place. Plus, if you have a complaint, you can consult a customer service representative.

    Thank you for sharing your experience with Rover. I just retired and so I could be available all hours! I shall begin the application process and am in a more metropolitan area fortunately, so that is a plus as well. My niece is doing this now, and will consult with her on her experiences too. The idea of interacting with dogs is very appealing; much more than so what I had been doing for decades.
