Four Kings is posible, but not feasable, you would need to have 2 Kings to hit at the same time, while dodging all their attacks, i'm sure that with a TAS toll, It would be eventually be done

The fact you added the detail of how much time per attempt (and left the cat noises in as well) is a testament to the effort put into this! It also is humbling, despite being a challenge run, it still feels relatable to lose a week to a single boss 😂
You know, if you really feel bad about not beating the asylum demon with the run, you can always fight him on NG+ for more disasters going after your gravelord run

25:33 actually, gwyndolin's hurtbox reappears for a single frame after he teleports, just after he reappears in his new location. since there are so many hitboxes appearing around you it is more likely that one of them collide with the hurtbox during this singular frame, but still it is very rng-based

I tried to do a "killing bosses with weapons found in their area" run once, and I did a few tries of killing Nito with his own spells and laughed at the damage when I finally managed to hit him with it once after three deaths. You were almost doing a one-shot challenge with how limited the casts were. And speaking of which, I'm pretty sure letting more than one King spawn in and hitting them all with one attack was how someone killed them in a one-shot challenge, so it might have worked for this.

I should have done this honestly. I thought I didn't need to because you get a guaranteed mimic head when you kill them all, but I didn't realize I wouldn't get it if I got a double KO with one of the mimics lol
Well done! The 4K fight is doable: one of the TH-camrs involved in "one-shotting all bosses" managed to use all 80 ticks of "Fire Surge" on two kings(look it up if you must). If you do this with GLGSD and GLSD, then you must have two kings close to you at the same time = you will do twice the damage to their combined HP bar...hopefully. Then you wait it out until their are two other kings... Sub earned, either way. That was "new". I thought I'd seen all possible challlenge runs, by this point. I myself have beaten DSR in one life, in 48min, with locked weapons/spells(like yours, but never those two) and most importantly my character "Toes" who is in NG+ at sl5/wl5 and only at wl5 because I have to pick up Grant to get Sanctus. She is an "ULTIMATE hyper mode"; it takes two Sanctus(NG+1) and the starting vitality of a sorcerer, only 1 point into attune and 1 into INT.
Similarly to how you can "one shot" the 4 kings with fire surge, dying where the second king spawns to mark it and then using that to time the miracles could potentially let you do half the hp with only half your casts, meaning that maybe, with the right timing you could get 2 kings at a time to get hit by the gravelord sword dance and two shot them (probably excruciatingly painful to pull off)
It's impressive how close to 100% you can actually get with this. As usual, the Kings love to be a royal pain! Hmm. Now I'm curious about how to deal with them.
Yo, well done. I challenge run quite a lot but stuff like this I steer away from, because I just don't have the patience. As long as it is my own skill I can rely on, it is fair game, but if I have to farm out RNG, because there are no safe openings, I am out. Still really fun to root for, when you don't have to grind for hours on end and can just watch the highlights. :)

I COMPLETELY forgot these spells even existed and this entire time I thought they worked like firestorm, where each sword was a different hit box, and multiple could hit a single enemy. I believe that there has been a glitch found to survive in the abyss without the ring, but from what I understand, that method doesn't effectively spawn in the 4 Kings and their hitboxes, so they can't be damaged in any way. I always like to put a mental asterisk next to the 4 Kings during DS1 challenge runs- I know they can definitely be beaten during some runs, but since they're so unrealistically tanky, I'm always ready to "let it slide" if rules need to be bent for getting past them. Maybe that means I'm not a DS1 challenge runner purist, but I think it's a lot more fun to try crazy runs and have to skip 4K, rather than just never attempting it because it won't be 100% possible. Still a great attempt at the challenge. Very impressive to get so far and tbh I think you could defeat even 4 kings and Manus but it would take way to much time to get this one perfect run with a perfect set up. And i think it wouldnt be worth the time it would take.

Awesome to see new souls youtubers starting out cant wait to see more of your runs in future. Have you considered trying a starter class run only using unupgraded starter class gear. Ive beaten Ds3 in this run and it was an intersting challange.
@@eleumloycee when I did this on Ds3 I used the thief for the bleed on the weapon to have at least decent damage but you can try any game it doesnt matter. Elden ring would definately be the hardest due to how much power leveling is needed in the end game. I think its a fun challenge purely because it turns starter class from not being a big deal to being the hardest decision of the run.
Do the channeler's trident and/or Dragon Torso stone stack w/ Power Within or RTSR? That's all I can think of - I know some of the buffs in this game don't stack and overwrite the last one applied instead, but don't happen to know if this is the case. How does damage w/ RTSR and Ring of the Sun's Firstborn as opposed to RTSR + Dusk Crown ring? Those are the only hypotheticals I could think of. Maybe a moveset swap to cast the spells w/ one of the damage boosting catalysts? But I don't know if such a thing exists. Whatever the case, you did more than your due diligence on this one.
I’ve never used these spells (and probably never will) so I didn’t know how bad they were, I thought they worked like firestorm but while firestorm is also a bit rng heavy at least it can hit multiple times unlike these things
it looks like each casting uses 20 of the swords, but if you get interrupted while spewing them out, you don't use all 20. Can you use that to give yourself more casts? Timing it so the enemy staggers you after you deal damage to them, but before you use all 20 swords so that you have some left over for an extra cast?
idk if gravelord dance can do counter hit/instability damage like the firestorm spells can. But assuming it can, then you could try doing 4 kings relying on that. Going for instability damage is basically going to guarantee you get hit, so hypermode/RTSR is out the door, i think ring of the son is next best. Then max out end & hp so you can use heavy armour and tank as much as possible and chuck on power within for extra damage. Alternatively/simultaneously you could wait for a 2nd king to show up, hope you can tank through both of them and see if that's enough damage. No idea if this would actually work
42:00 iron flesh + havel's set + waiting for all kings to spawn and come close? Hitting all 4 with greatsword dance would net you 3600 damage, so there's a lot of room for error
I honestly should've tried even though the RNG can be really bad! You should check out Abyss's video he made where he managed to get the 4 kings with it!
Try beating the game with no upgrade to soul or weapon level. I have done it up to Gwyn and would have already beaten him if I just hadn't broken my FaP ring(need that extra stamina for another SINGLE roll, Artorias was a nightmare to manage such low stamina), it's power comes from Dragon Body(Fist) being "wl0" and hitting like a Cestus +7 with RTSR(sanctus, power within and curse aren't necessary for 4K, use green herbs). You can farm drakes using a reinforced club with resins, but it could take a few days, I would just use the stackable item dupe glitch("God's Cestus", lol. It's weight is over 40!!!) at Andre. Some speedruns demand the use of item dupes, most use the "1=999 items used" dupe, but duping stackable items is a little bit harder and makes getting 99 scales take less than an hour if you know what you are doing, no mods/hacks. Maybe I'll beat you to it, gonna practice one now...
You can bait Seath to break crystal himself. It gives a bigger window of opportunity if you do it right I think Kings can be killed if you stand between two (or more) at the same time to maximise the damage from each cast. It'll require some tanky armor and lots of luck though Edit: yup you address my second point later in the video
Bit late to it but you DON'T have to run through the whole catacombs to get to the Gravelord covenant, you can jump down through the catacombs skip ledge at the entrance after the first bonfire and you'll be basically at the coffin used to get to Nito 😆
Waaaait, use the inventory maxed glitch!! The one where you fill your character inventory until you start walking from inventory weight(its there like demon's souls, ts just set to a ridiculous amount) after you fill it the game starts glitching the items section allowing you to equip the red tearstone ring on an item slot!!! I dont know if it was patched, but you sjould look it up!!😃

That's all I can think of - I know some of the buffs in this game don't stack and overwrite the last one applied instead, but don't happen to know if this is the case. How does damage w/ RTSR and Ring of the Sun's Firstborn as opposed to RTSR + Dusk Crown ring? Those are the only hypotheticals I could think of. Maybe a moveset swap to cast the spells w/ one of the damage boosting catalysts? But I don't know if such a thing exists. Whatever the case, you did more than your due diligence on this one.
I’ve never used these spells (and probably never will) so I didn’t know how bad they were, I thought they worked like firestorm but while firestorm is also a bit rng heavy at least it can hit multiple times unlike these things
it looks like each casting uses 20 of the swords, but if you get interrupted while spewing them out, you don't use all 20. Can you use that to give yourself more casts? Timing it so the enemy staggers you after you deal damage to them, but before you use all 20 swords so that you have some left over for an extra cast?

idk if gravelord dance can do counter hit/instability damage like the firestorm spells can. But assuming it can, then you could try doing 4 kings relying on that. Going for instability damage is basically going to guarantee you get hit, so hypermode/RTSR is out the door, i think ring of the son is next best. Then max out end & hp so you can use heavy armour and tank as much as possible and chuck on power within for extra damage. Alternatively/simultaneously you could wait for a 2nd king to show up, hope you can tank through both of them and see if that's enough damage. No idea if this would actually work
I feel like if the timing is right, it's doable if you hit 2 kings at a time for each hit, it might be really hard to pull off though

Hitting all 4 with greatsword dance would net you 3600 damage, so there's a lot of room for error
I honestly should've tried even though the RNG can be really bad! You should check out Abyss's video he made where he managed to get the 4 kings with it!
U have to be a real dark soul of dark souls to use this spell for the whole game
Try beating the game with no upgrade to soul or weapon level.
I have done it up to Gwyn and would have already beaten him if I just hadn't broken my FaP ring(need that extra stamina for another SINGLE roll, Artorias was a nightmare to manage such low stamina), it's power comes from Dragon Body(Fist) being "wl0" and hitting like a Cestus +7 with RTSR(sanctus, power within and curse aren't necessary for 4K, use green herbs).
You can farm drakes using a reinforced club with resins, but it could take a few days, I would just use the stackable item dupe glitch("God's Cestus", lol. It's weight is over 40!!!) at Andre. Some speedruns demand the use of item dupes, most use the "1=999 items used" dupe, but duping stackable items is a little bit harder and makes getting 99 scales take less than an hour if you know what you are doing, no mods/hacks.

You can bait Seath to break crystal himself. It gives a bigger window of opportunity if you do it right
I think Kings can be killed if you stand between two (or more) at the same time to maximise the damage from each cast. It'll require some tanky armor and lots of luck though

I think the Crystal sage catalyst can be held off hand to do twice the damage but half the spell casts
What I mean is is that I remember that it also applies to pyromancies and maybe even miracles so this catalyst can be held off hand to do more damaged
Bit late to it but you DON'T have to run through the whole catacombs to get to the Gravelord covenant, you can jump down through the catacombs skip ledge at the entrance after the first bonfire and you'll be basically at the coffin used to get to Nito 😆
Waaaait, use the inventory maxed glitch!! The one where you fill your character inventory until you start walking from inventory weight(its there like demon's souls, ts just set to a ridiculous amount) after you fill it the game starts glitching the items section allowing you to equip the red tearstone ring on an item slot!!!
