  • I met Paddy while walking around Central London last night. It was obvious he was sleeping rough because of the sleeping bag under his arm.
It was Paddy's first night back in London, although he has been homeless in the UK for some time. Even though he does not qualify for services in London, something keeps drawing him back.
A gas cooker exploded next to Paddy when he was sleeping rough. His body is scarred from the burns, and he says he spent 3 years in the hospital.

    About Invisible People:
Since its launch in November 2008, Invisible People has leveraged the power of video and the massive reach of social media to share the compelling, gritty, and unfiltered stories of homeless people from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. The vlog (video blog) gets up close and personal with veterans, mothers, children, layoff victims and others who have been forced onto the streets by a variety of circumstances. Each week, they’re on InvisiblePeople.tv, and high traffic sites such as TH-cam, Twitter and Facebook, proving to a global audience that while they may often be ignored, they are far from invisible.
Invisible People goes beyond the rhetoric, statistics, political debates, and limitations of social services to examine poverty in America via a medium that audiences of all ages can understand, and can’t ignore. The vlog puts into context one of our nation’s most troubling and prevalent issues through personal stories captured by the lens of Mark Horvath - its founder - and brings into focus the pain, hardship and hopelessness that millions face each day. One story at a time, videos posted on InvisiblePeople.tv shatter the stereotypes of America’s homeless, force shifts in perception and deliver a call to action that is being answered by national brands, nonprofit organizations and everyday citizens now committed to opening their eyes and their hearts to those too often forgotten.
Invisible People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the way we think about people experiencing homelessness.

I will NEVER forget being on the streets of Birmingham in the mid 70s.It was only for three weeks and it is ingrained in my mind.I didnt think I would survive.Had everything stolen and the police said cant help as I am from NZ.
The hunger just burnt right thru me,Survived by stealing bottles of milk from door steps.
It is my greatest fear now, homelessness!

Rex drabble I get you bud... I had 10 year of the shit... Settled down with a lass for 13 year's split last year and she's keeping my son all to herself... Trying to keep my house going the best I can... To be homeless yet again would mean no coming back from it... I'm to old for it now.

How you can help. Rather than day dreaming and praying. Send these videos to the city council members of the city ( London / what ever the city ) and Politicians of the country. And ask them to help the homeless. Government and Politicians have the money of tax payers. Government is obligated to help the poor. You can buy them food if you can but city council and Politicians got your vote to help the poor and the country.

Mark needs to help homeless people instead of just interviewing them.

I've seen one where a 16 year old girl was on the streets they asked her if she done drugs she said she didn't even drink she had to run away from where she lived . GO DO WHAT I HAVE DONE TAKE ONE IN AND GIVE THEM A NEW START IN LIFE !!!
