Making Homeless Man Smile By Buying Him His Favourite Meal

- We met Jamie in Haringay sitting outside a supermarket being ignored by everyone walking past him. He was really happy for us to speak to him. Jamie told us of his big break up with his ex partner of 17 years and how that led him to becoming homeless. He told us the only thing that stops him from giving up is the thoughts of his daughter.
We were really happy to be able to help Jamie by giving him the clothes that many people have donated and also to be able to get Jamie his favourite meal. The happiness on his face was priceless.

Homelessness is a growing issue for the UK with more than 300,000 people living on the streets. Many of these people don't even make it onto the official figures.
The Unseen is an organisation we set up to give Homeless people a platform to have their stories and their struggles heard. We also want everyday people to have an opportunity to understand what leads a person into being Homeless. We at the The Unseen believe that everybody has a responsibility to help the unfortunate.
We want employers and regular people to support the homeless towards getting back into work and off the streets.
We hope their stories can touch the hearts of many.
Living on the street is no way to live.

Great news! By chance Jamie's family watched this video and then reached out to us. After lots of searching for Jamie they managed to find him and he has been reunited with his friends and family and is no longer homeless.

He is heartbroken. People underestimate how hard a breakup can hit someone. I do wish he gets back on his feet.
It could so easily happen to anyone without family, friends, a supportive employer. Like he said he had everything and lost it all, never thought it would happen to him.
Honestly, God bless The Unseen. I can’t do much to help but this channel has really inspired me to start helping the homeless.

It's so sad to see him like this and government don't help they should do more for the homeless so many empty buildings in uk could be rebuild for the homeless and provide them free food or give them food vochers so much food and drink go to waste in uk

It seems that there are many more homeless people in England than in the United States. I would say that British homelessness has a more decent face than American homelessness. It is surprising that there are so many homeless looking decent people in England.
being homeless is a big challenge in life ups & down we can't tell one day we belong in that situation!

@@TheUnseenHomeless can I please tell you what happened today, I'm 74 and don't get out much, but today I tried I went out, I'm in Liverpool, after paying some bills I had to rest, out of the blue a young woman came to me asking for the price of a coffee, I wanted so much to have a one to one with these lovely people, without detail can I just say I had a lovely afternoon with a beautiful soul, and for this day only she is safe, may God protect her and all homless xxx

I Do what I can whenever I see a Homeless person.
Although I Do Not have a lot I have given money, bought food, given clothes, bottles too the homeless digging through the garage bins behind my apartment building many times, just too try to Help and Do my small part to try to Better one life at a time, if only a bit.
It is what I can Do. Something is Better than nothing at ALL🤷♂️

Someone kicked my cup and my 47cents went flying in the air and i followed him into the store I was panhandling in front of and confronted him he said that he didn't notice us despite my furbaby doing street performing.....

I cant imagine this situation is something that cannot be fixxed with some peer pressure and counciling?
Someone is too proud to applogise/propose//accept proposal/forgive.
I cant imagine the daughter or the wife wouldnt want to have a sucessful working Jamie in thier life married at home bringing in a paycheck for his family.
What can unseen do to talk to the Mother/daughter/ former employer and get Jamie back on his feet, married, with his family, employeed???
