  • Winter is coming, and we're getting ready with remote temperature sensors and Christmas lights!
In this episode of It's Five O'Clock Somewhere with Farmer Bailey, Bailey advises building a "cold snap kit" for your fall-planted crops with row cover, sandbags, leaves, mulch and twinkly lights.
Watch the recording for more tips on preparing for, and enjoying, the winter season. Thanks to all who tuned in, posted questions, and shared their experience.
The next episode of It's Five O'Clock Somewhere with Farmer Bailey will go Live on the Farmer Bailey Instagram on Wednesday, November 8 at 9am PT / Noon ET / 5pm GMT.

I love winter in MI. I do miss the snow helping perennials to survive. Also, I miss the bitter cold killing off insects. There seems to be a lot more disease and pests in the last 5-10 years than I ever encountered before. Thanks for your info!

Thank you for watching, Connie! You are sure right about the warm winters increasing our pest and disease pressure. Crop rotation, cover cropping and minding your beneficials is more important than ever! ~Felicia

Are there any flower grower conferences or seminars in France that you can recommend?

Thanks for watching! I am not aware of any conferences specifically in France. The French floral trade association, Val'Hor, may be able to help you find one! Bonne chance! ~Felicia
