As a woman who lived independently for 4 and a half years, I would like to add up few things.
    1. Accommodation for women is costly compared to men. Pgs give less facility to women and yet charge more rent.
    2. We need to spend more on safety while traveling.
    3. Medical help is costlier. Mental health and gynic health detoriate when we go out to work.

Dahej isn’t limited to wedding only. After marriage girls family is expected to give gifts at every occasion be it small or big. Another thing to note is if the girl is earning her money doesn’t go to her parents and if she isn’t working she is a free kaamwali bai 24*7 always available to her kids, husband, in laws. Someone in the comment section was saying that men pay for women’s expenses, not accounting how much women handles various errands at home.

    • @WisdomIsAwesome
      @WisdomIsAwesome ปีที่แล้ว +40

and women live in husbands' home rent-free and w/o worrying for expenses too, least they can do for that is do errands at home, right?
You should stop demeaning women by calling kaamwali bai. It is called relationship responsibility - something that takes maturity to grasp. Women are dependent on husbands for providing resources in majority cases and it makes sense that husbands should be able to depend on women for taking care of homemaking and early child-rearing. It's called gender roles - that's how nature intended things to be.

I worked in the netherlands for 14 years in a fortune 50 company. 10 years into the job i realised i was being paod half of what my white counterparts were making and within the brown category as a woman i was making about 10% less, while per the annual performance review i was in the top most quartile. Secondly, for knowledge migrant workers the dutch government charged a lower tax of 30% instead of the regular slab but the company used to withhold that and not pass the benefit to us (this also was allowed per law). Hence i was paying 42% tax on my already low earnings. In the end, i somehow pushed for an expat assignment and then left the company. Indians both men and women are paid less due to our nationality and within the asian pool indian women are paid even worse. Hence, both should try and be a bit more entreprenurial. Learn your akills and gain the knowledge then work for yourself.

Whereassss if the guy has same problem there is a clear solution always given to them that is"acchi naukri lgegi to acchi ldki milegi and as we have all seen acchi naukri not only means acchi ldki(gori,Sundar mainly) but also means accha khasa dahej, like wtf ,why so privileged (anyways)..
I justtt hope kash ldkio ko yh sb bolne k jgah yh bolkr bda kra gya hota k shkl se or rang se frk nhi pdta.. tmhari qualification, degree and basically kashhh acchi naukri se frk pdta h bola gya hota to aj rate bht zada hota independent women ka,or shyd hi koi insecure hota looks ko leke,or koi dowry stupid system v nhi hota cuz both are independent, also ldkia dvke nhi rehti after marriage.. it is not just a simple topic you have picked.. it's a wholee fuc kin tabooooo.. i hope for the best in future for everybody 🙏❤

Problem is not in understanding women's problems. Problem is living constantly in a victim mindset. Constant urge to blame all the problem on the patriarchy.
Let's counter some of the problems.
      1. Wage gap : biggest myth ever. Men work 28% more than women. More risky jobs too. Guess who should be paid more.?
      2. Maternity leave : Govt has rightly given enough leaves with FULL PAYMENT to women for that.
      3. Make up : it's the problem in women mindset. Get that Gucci bag, louis vuitton bag, etc etc. Pick any middle class family, who is more likely to spend more for self like clothing, jwellery, bags etc etc, your father or mother?? You know who will😅
So all in all, I agree women have problems but it's just different sets of problem than men. Not that men don't have problem at all.!
And one basic difference is men don't blame their problems on women. While women does! ALWAYS.

I don't know why is there so much hate for Women and It is being spread by some Men . But not all girls are rich like you think. Not all girls have that much money to spent their money on unnecessary things like Makeup. Also There are many problems in the life of Indian girls which you Men can't understand. Istead of it You people find reasons to hate Women. You see Rich girls and Their attitude and you Men judge the whole Women Community. Also In Our Society, Women is graduated at the age of 21 yrs, after this They try to Find a Job which is difficult in Society like India because here everyone gives priority to Men in Jobs.. So How can you expect her to earn. Also if Women Find Job. Then After Marriage here Parents in laws and Husband would make pressure to leave her Job so that She can be A Good Housewife.. So don't judge Women Community by judging a Rich Women...I come from Middle class / Poor Class I only can understand what pressure I am going through.. Unsolicited advice for women: 😊
    1. For women who dont want to wear makeup: if you want a high paying job you need to wear makeup at least for the interview and key events in the company. 😊 For all other occasions (eg outings with family etc, there is no need). Keep your makeup budget low and invest in skincare.
    2. Don't have big marriage functions if groom's side is not willing to share expenses. Have a registered marriage and reception with ordinary food at some ashram. Instead ask your dad to put the money in FD in your name.
    3. Do not engage in gift giving during marriage at all. You are the gift 😊 and if groom's side want something more, they can move on. Plenty of fish in the sea.
    4. Do NOT under any circumstances stop working. Women must have their own money even if it means avoiding pregnancy.. India doesnt need more people. If a woman is expected to do all the housework while also working or is expected to give up her job to raise children, then better not to have children. I have to budget my stationary expenses so when it was my fresher party I decided not to go there. But everyone was so excited and urging me to go there even my own brother. I said yes. We had to wear saree so I bought one, there was little time so I even bought a readymade blouse.... Damn the cost was concerning. It doesn't end there actually my brother took it to doing the borders of saree idk what it's called them I had to buy make up and jewellery and other stuff plus the salon cost... I swear I have never spent so much money in one go. I literally still feel guilty over that. It actually makes me feel like a burden on my family whenever I feel like dressing up nicely femininely to feel better because it just costs too much. And as always the society and even my loved ones never forget to show that my needs and wants are too much that it would be better if I was born a boy or it I wasn't even born. So in the end what happens is I get silent and keep all my desires to myself and make sure that my needs and wants look as insignificant as it can. That is what I have been doing all my life to make sure I don't get any attention from my family... It's hard yeah but all I can think about is taking action so the burden can be off their shoulders, trying to be independent without knowing which direction to go. I don't want to talk about this but I want to let it off my heart as well. Just 2 years ago I tried to suicide because my grades were falling and I had no direction of future plus my family expectations. Good thing I was a coward to actually try to end myself 😂.

First of all, it is not some "pink tax"/"gender tax" planned against girls. Men and Women perceive themselves differently. Men think their value is measured in the materialistic possessions, on the other hand women think their value is measured in their beauty and looks. Both of these cases are true, therefore we can see women spending more on clothing/makeup/beauty products and services whereas men spend on bikes, cars, tech gadgets and many more. The examples shown in video that are expensive for women, are perceived valuable by woman.
An example - I spend way less on clothes and zero on makeup/beauty products but I've spend a lot on gaming, my bike etc. But my girlfriend spends mostly on clothing. So it is more easy to sell expensive clothes to her but not me, and more expensive games, bike equipment to me than her.

      - Basic clothing: Women come in diff shapes and sizes. Some are curvy, some are not. Tons of options for tops and innerwear, activewear. Its not easy. Its why we take longer to shop 😅

His opinions are pretty biased. In IT companies I have often heard bosses saying, "For girls take easy interview and hire". At work, they get easier tasks. At 6pm boss comes to the girls' desk and says, " It is unsafe, you should leave by 6:30". To boys the same boss says at 9:30 pm, "Do not leave without finishing the task. It is critical, high priority shit". Salary, girls get equal to boys. Promotion, girls get quicker than boys. At the time of marriage, girls' parents say, the boy should earn 4 times more than their girl. And people, especially bosses give logic like girls have to take care of household too, they need to cook food too. But in reality, girls say I too earn, I too get tired, lets order from swiggy and have a permanent cook. The only thing they do more is to take care of kids and that they do not because they are forced by society but because they have strong maternal instincts and really enjoy taking care of kids.

I understand most of your points but the gender pay gap is simply a myth. A man can work more hour for the same job whereas mostly women don't do that. A man will be available to work outside of his comfort zone to satisfy company need. Whereas woman mostly try to find jobs near their city or comfort zone. If hiring women can save more money to a company, they wouldn't have bother hiring man. I mean I won't miss any cheap labour if i had a business.

In japan like almost all asian countries there is huge compition among universities to hire best students. Still, one of the biggest university in tokyo was caught fabrication marks of female students because they dint wanted girls in their university no matter how good they score.
Its about mentality and stereotype where its presumed that irrespective of qualifications, experience and good work. If she is a girl, she can't be doing better Hince do npt deserve the salary
Plus even women harshly judge themselves. Women are More likely to feel unqualified or not good enough as compared to men. Which means they are less likely to argue about their salary despite of bringing same or even more good outcomes

Just a point here from the company's perspective, most of the product apart from undergarments. The products that are for men/boys is mostly unisex even if a girl wears it, it is fine. But if a guy wears a pink shoe which is specifically targetted for woman, you should see how everyone will make fun of the guy.
Basically what i want to say is Mens product mostly are unisex products especially for garments, whereas womans product are only womans product which leads to lesser volumes.

This is all whiteknightism. The analysis was too shallow and lacked depth. There is no such thing as wage gap, if it was true then all the companies would be filled with women. It is simply because wage depends on How your results affect your company and in general men do work more efficiently and take up more difficult tasks in any company. I have seen many many blatant discrimintation towards male candidates in hiring proces just because the company wants to fulfill their gender ratios. Heck even in my team with merely 70% of my qualification, one of my female team member got the job. She did not even know what is a compiler and yet she is a Java developer with a package of 7.5lacs. Also, companies inherently know about female psychology that they are conformists meaning they follow what other woman follow and on top of that it is easier to manipulate women to make them buy their company products. Women go out of their way to choose certain colors which are rarer and expensive. And the most common color among men's apparel is grey which is very cheap to produce from nature. If women take responsibility of their purchasing decisions without giving into their primal instincts then I think most women can leverage their financials for a quality life. Also, women don't care and are afraid of investing in stocks, bonds, metals etc. If you just save money throughout lifetime then obviously you gonna depreciate your money. Buy atleat gold every year and that too 24 carat gold biscuit so that after 10years of compounding you will have 250% value of your present gold. I am not hating here, I am just stating the facts, Our society has become so gynocentric that it actively finds ways to remove personal responsibility from women.

And society ne hi sikhaya hai k sundr dikhogi to dulha bhi sundr milega or boy ka hai k job achchi hogi to sundr ldhki milegi hr kisi ka work decide kr diya jese ye earth pr isliye hi aayi hain or male jo sirf sundr ko sundrta tk hi rkhte hain knowledge k naam k kuchh nhi smjhte ye myths hain k male ko attractive sundr ldhki krti vo bs sexually attractive lgti hai unhe affect hamesha educated girl se pdhta hai . dowry is wayyyyyy more common than you think it is. think about how many dowry cases have gone unreported. thats certainly a lot more than the 'fake' reported cases. unpaid labor is when you work and arent paid for it. internship is one form of unpaid labor. women are expected to do household chores but they arwnt paid for it. if they decide to hire a maid, they have to pay her for doing the same work as a housewife, but a housewife isnt paid.

Lakhs of salary, well settled, own house, handsome..are these normal? Why don't you criminalize these? Aren't these wayyyy more common? And talking about unpaid labor..men also dedicate their time and buy their wives jewelry, sarees take them outside..what about these..will they do the same for their maids? Marriage is about sharing responsibility..if one earns and other decides to take care of house hold ..it's their choice..I am more than happy if I were to get married and given the responsibility of taking house hold work..
