      Over a minute of control time in rd2 over 2 minutes of control time in rd 4 and almost a minute of control time in rd 5. They landed the same strikes in rd 4 and almost the same in rd 2 and 5 but DJ didn't do any offensive grappling to get back for Cejudo scoring in grappling. Not a draw 3 rounds to 2 for Cejudo only for casuals who don't like scoring the grappling.

    The more I watch Demetrius Johnson the more I think he’s the GOAT. His flow style is beautiful to watch & the way he frames is perfect. His IQ is also phenomenal. Look at how he tried to time Cejudo’s pawing 5:05. Right as Cejudo’s lead hand goes down Mighty Mouse throws an overhand 5:07 5:55. Right as Cejudo’s lead hand goes up Might Mouse throws a body kick 5:01 5:58 17:47 23:34. Looking back at the sequence 4:53. Every time Cejudo’s hand went up Dj made sure to touch it. Dj’s rhythm was broken at 4:56 as he touched Cejudo’s hand while it was down. Immediately Dj resets defensively correcting a mistake. The fact that he made all of these adjustments within 10 seconds is insane

    • @malomkarom
      @malomkarom 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah,
      People used to trashtalk him for "being just a wrestler that's it" but dude's a machine!
      He handled it perfectly, kept composure, didn't make it obvious it isn't just bad step long enough for DJ not to go for the kill and circled away from the powerside until 100%. Recovered really fast too which is mostly genetic and mental, most fighters are shut for atleast 30 minutes after that, regular people would take a day off from an office job for that.
      Not many can keep their cool against THE GOAT of the weightclass fighting quite literally on a rubbery peg just 30 seconds in.
      Hell, most people straight puss out and just take the loss when that happens. He didn't even mention it happened, just kept going.

Love seeing these old matches because this is a high caliber fight. Still til this day a classic. Not many MMA fighters can put on a dance like this. They both leveled up. Mighty Mouse was ready to move in from UFC as they never gave him the respect or tried pushing him promotional wise. Dana White is bout nothing but the money and has made the UFC into a circus show like WWE which personally has taken away from the sport not to mention the fact that Dana White doesn't wanna pay fighters shit too smh That's why you have so many great fighters like DJ going to these other promotions like ONE and Bellator which is just sad to me when DJ made twice the amount in each fight then he made in any fight I'm the UFC although he was a title holder with 11 title successful defenses before his last fight in the UFC which by far the largest/biggest promotion of MMA yet their rivals in MMA promotions can pay these fighters twice the amount! I do not even support the UFC at all and as long as Dana White is in charge the UFC is gonna be taken out eventually by another promotion

      because you at least needs some amount of distance/space to initiate ground impound. As Cejudo and every one of us(I'm surprised you didn't) know how DJ can roll out of the submission upon giving just a tiny space for him. We've seen him done that again and again not just in this fight, but in previous ones too!

      If someone controls opponent on the ground for 4 minutes and 55 seconds and does "nothing", would you judge the round based on those 5 seconds on the feet? If Cejudo was doing nothing on the ground and was just lying there inactively, then referee should have stood them up, but at no point was Cejudo inactive on the ground. He might not have done much damage, but he sure was active enough to keep controling him down. The crowd didn't even boo once, which tells you a lot about "just holding him down".

    Clear win for DJ, 1,2,4 were obviously his rounds. Outlanded him with better “effective striking” doing greater damage, especially leg kicks as those really added up. There’s a strong case he won round 3 but for arguments sake we’ll give it to henry. Round 5 was close I’d just edge it to Henry though. 48-47 at the worst for DJ. The counter argument is the TDs, these barely come into it. Cejudos grappling was by definition not “efffective”, he controlled DJ for a few minutes landing very little strikes and not going for a single submission. As much as I love DC his bias for wrestling seriously showed during this.

Honestly feel like UFC did DJ dirty as they never gave him the respect DJ deserved as well as both the UFC(Dana "lives in his own world" White) and DJ wanted to sever ties and go the separate ways smh DJ landed more significant strikes 81 to 51 DJ significant strikes land percentage was 60% to Cejudo 34% Smh Cejudo attempted 11 takedowns only got 3 takedowns despite the fact that he won agold medal in wrestling and was the youngest USA wrestler to ever win a gold medal Cejudo couldn't even oppose his will grappling lmfao no way in hell should Cejudo won the fight
