I love these fights without the crowd because you can hear everything in the octagon, all the contact and talking and movement that you miss with the crowd.

their is no reason for this fight to be 5 rounds, just for contender. its absurd to make these guys go through that kind of punishment. This fight took something from both of them.
Along with the no restrictions on weight cuts, UFC is kind of out of control. Fighters have to be protected from themselves. As a former fighter im saying this. Dana is a shameless self promoter.

And with Arnold Allen, who is a good fighter, Dan hooker is huge for 155. He has no business at 145. He just beat Jalin Turner with one arm good arm and a broken one he received in round 1.
Really? I've never heard anything but respect given to Hooker. He went on a slide but he is still ranked and had as gutsy a performance against Turner as you'll see. Very harsh.

Dustin Poirier is probably one of the toughest guys in the UFC, he's fought all the toughest fighters, never ran away from no one. Its too bad he couldn't get a title. I think he should def go for the BMF against Max.

Part of me wishes this fight took place in front of a capacity crowd, but I also appreciate the silence of the Apex which allowed us to hear the impact of every shot landed. One of the best UFC fights I have ever seen!

One of my favorite fights of all time. This was during the Covid garbage and it made it a little easier to deal with watching this card. Thanks Dustin and Dan and the UFC. Also, the commentary was priceless. All around awesome. Hard to beat.

Crowd has its own aspect of fun but man, no crowd noise really adds another piece to enjoying a fight. I dont need to hear a leg kick to know it hurt but you are able to tell when they are throwing volume or to knock heads off just from the sound. Really adds another layer of the brutal reality
Hooker makes me super proud to be a kiwi! He's the heartiest fighter in the UFC hands down. Every one of his fights is an absolute war! Dustin is also a savage and one of the best to ever do it. Both these men deserve HOF status. Churrrr the boys!
This fight changed Dan. He had this, the Edson Barboza fight, and Paul Felder, among others but they didn't do as much damage to him, in a span of 2 years. That's 3 wars in that time span then getting KO'd by Chandler, that's rough. It's good to see him climb back up the rankings now though. Dude is way too tough for his own good.
