Protip: Some forks are a tight fit for a 20g CO2. I could barely get the tool in-and-out with this configuration. I removed the label and used goo-gone and a scouring pad to remove all adhesive. This allowed for smooth in-and-out action on my 2018 Lyrik. Hope this helps someone using this tool.
(Commenting at 5:42) In terms of carrying the pump valve in your pocket, OneUp doesn't recommend carrying CO2 if you're planning on going without a backpack - instead they recommend tubeless plugs for those short rides. On longer rides, it's easy to throw that little valve in a pocket or fanny.
I was going to get this tool as well when it came out, but the fork tapping discouraged me. I now run the wolf tooth encase in handlebars and topeak air booster extreme with two cartridges under my saddle. In addition I have a tire lever, spare bolts and pair of gloves insides the fork steerer enclosed by fork cork.
You can put the CO2 cartridge in the steerer with the little cap that comes with the pump, then there's room for the plug and pliers kit in the pump with the EDC.
Also, the axle screw/nut can loosen in the steerer tube with vibration. The tool then is stuck in the steerer. I removed the wheel and used a wooden dowel and hammer to force it up and out. Keep the top O ring lubed, dry rubber won't hold the tool in on rough trails.
I noticed this was starting to happen but caught it before it was stuck. Once tightens, even the very small amount it was out made the tool easier to get in and out. Very tight clearances.
@@IslandBikeLife Perhaps some threadlock would do the trick, I tend to keep the chain breaker tight too, that screw can back out. But otherwise it's a cool and effective setup. Too bad One Up cannot keep up with demand. I'm still waiting on the plug and pliers.
Your channel is great! How do you like it all with the pump? I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on it. Any chance we can get a short update video of the functionality with the pump?
The tool popping up could be the o-ring binding and rolling when you push it down. To prevent the corrosion you could probably shoot it with WD-40 occasionally. It will lubricate and displace moisture.
I haven’t had the tool itself pop up ever but what you are proposing makes sense. The top cap had a problem loosening off but on my new bike that isn’t a problem either. I am expecting it was some kind of user error on my part that was causing it though not sure what it was.
Thanks for a great review! One question I have though... if you bought the 100cc pump without the tool, what would you have in the tool’s place? Is there a cap or something that you can screw a co2 canister onto? I already have the tool in the headtube and thus was considering getting the pump and using its tool compartment for canister storage only.
That’s interesting. As soon as I saw the pump, I thought, “wouldn’t it be cool if they built a CO2 adapter into the pump?” And seconds later, you show that it has exactly that feature. Amazing how good new bike technology is these days.
What about that cassette tool thats on it, that slips off and scratches the top cap. I see yours has a bunch of scratches. I did this the first day on a blue one. DONT USE THEIR TOOL TO LOSEN THE TOP CAP.. uness you have too. . The reason yours came lose is probably because u used the tool to tighten it.
Why bring up the All In Multi tool and NOT mention it doesn't have a chain tool??? There are some basic tools you must always have and a chain tool is def one of them.

With having the pump now also I keep both a CO2 and plugs on the bike at all times. Best of both!
I whould love to see a version with the tubeless repairkit build in the tool so
You could carry Co2 and repair kit in 1

Thanks I wasn’t aware that it would fit with all this in there.
Hi, thanks for the review! I poked around IBL uploads but didn't spot a review on the 100cc pump. How did the pump work out?

julian lobato I wasn’t thinking I would go with the plug/pliers originally but might grab them if they are ever back in stock!

Thanks, I am planning a final update video on the complete system in the coming months, stay tuned!

If the top cap was loosening was it something that blue loctite would've fixed? Maybe the new bike has the loctite??
The install instructions for the top cap do not call for loctite. Grease in the threads and tighten down to preload the bearings similar to a starnut.

Yup exactly. I have a co2 canister in the tool location of the pump. And on the tool in the headtube I have the hole plugs.

any edc pump review coming?
Yes it will be done in the coming weeks. I have had the pump for coming on a year now and have some thoughts about it for sure.
@@IslandBikeLife is it worth it over something like the topeak ninja mtb and the pump I already own.
Probably not as you will have the same end product just all in one. It is very good quality but there are some annoying parts about it as well.
Does this fit in any steerer tube?
Almost any yes. The length is an issue possibly but diameter shouldn’t be in any modern fork
What is the size of this tap? Thread pitch?
I am not sure of the exact details on the tap. It might be on the OneUp website.
Blue loctite dab on top cap
How is it now
Same, great tool option all around. Well over 2 years of use now and going strong.

It has a chain tool. Watch the how to use it video.
@@IslandBikeLife Thanks for the heads up. Saw an earlier version without the chain tool. Glad they upgraded.
