While I completely understand the sentiment, I can't say that I agree with the idea of forcing people back to work in the office. Lives are inherently better across the board for workers with work from home, and when you factor in things like less time in traffic, less spending on gas/food/etc. with equal if not higher productivity there's no real reason to force people back into the office aside from the whole idea that it would force people to spend money at businesses. People are able to save more money working from home, and when things are already more expensive it is a very hard sell to the workforce, especially when you see CEOs making salaries that are hundreds of times higher than the average employee's wage, never in the office themselves, and everything else that goes along with office work. There are other options that could help businesses beyond forcing people to have a less fulfilling, less affordable and less healthy life.
