      @@crisonthealps4542 We indeed share a passion for mountains and the freedom they offer. I'm already working on more videos, but it take time! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas as well! Seeing the number of videos you've published, it seems you might be living in the Alps. If that's the case, you're incredibly fortunate to be so close to such majestic nature.

    Wow I think this is one of your best videos that you have produced. It's so good that you aren't afraid to turn back when you feel it's not the time to reach the summit. You are justifiably prudent, well done. Hope you reach the Aiguille de Bionnassay one day 😊❤

    • @never-too-late

      Thank you so much for your kind words and appreciation of the video! I'm glad you recognize the importance of caution and the decision to turn back when conditions aren't right. Safety is always my top priority, especially in solo mountaineering. I'm hopeful and determined to reach the summit of Aiguille de Bionnassay. Your support and encouragement mean a lot to me. Stay tuned for more adventures!

      Absolutely, it's always a tough call to make, but safety must come first in the mountains. It's the mark of an alpinist to know when to turn back. Thank you for understanding the decision.

  • @kvpc11

    That was phenomenal! Absolutely beautiful views and very treacherous climbing, especially solo. I cannot wait for the future video of you making the summit! The importance you place on pacing, route selection and when to know that it is time to turn around is so absolutely essential to those following in your footsteps of solo mountaineering. Superb video.

    • @never-too-late
      @never-too-late  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the views and recognized the challenges of solo climbing. Your appreciation of the nuances like pacing, route selection, and the critical decision of when to turn back means a lot. These elements are indeed crucial for safe and successful solo mountaineering. The video documenting my summit attempt won't be available until next autumn. However, I still have plenty of content to share about my past climbing and hiking adventures. Looking forward to possibly seeing you one day in the Alps! Stay tuned for more videos in the meantime.

      @@never-too-late hi great pleasure, well for the moment I have no plans yet for the winter, probably spring time end of may I will visit a nice spot most likely Switzerland, my wetterhorn experience wasn’t successful because of illness I did only the krinnenhorn and the morning after I did a great loop hike to the upper grindelwald glacier, amazing alternative it did require demanding climbing but the glacier was spectacular and made the disappointment softer. I have a several spots on my bucket list, Caucasus mountains in Georgia is also a possibility for next year, a place I always wanted to go

      I tend to stay closer to home these days, as longer trips consume quite a bit of time. Once I retire, I plan to venture out further. It's interesting that you mentioned the Chrinnenhorn; I climbed it a few months back. It's a good introduction to the route for Wetterhorn. Keep enjoying those spectacular trips and climbs!

    OK, you have a far bigger pair than I do. I tried this a couple of years back, trying to get to the Pointe Inferieure. I quit at the pyramid section, fairly rotten conditions and by myself...

    • @never-too-late
      @never-too-late  ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate your honesty about your experience! Seeing the Pyramide for the first time can indeed be quite daunting, especially when it's shrouded in clouds - it adds an element of awe and challenge to the climb. Mountaineering conditions can be unpredictable and making a safe decision to turn back is always wise, especially when solo. Each journey in the mountains teaches us something new, doesn't it? Keep exploring and stay safe out there! Do not hesitate to subscribe 😉
