Hi Nick and family! Sometimes I watch your videos and think I’m in like 10-12 minutes, but it’s really only like 3-4 minutes. You are able to squeeze so much good stuff in a really short time. Whatever your editor makes, even if it’s you, double it. I think that says something about the true quality of your videos. Thank you for sharing your experiences! (Wish I could afford you!) 😎😫. Also, nice landing that big Sheep in the bait net!
That trip was supposed to be relaxing........I must have missed that!! You were going the entire time!! Great video!! Next time get a tent with an "airlock"......two screens to get into the tent.....less bugs! Have a great week!
wow looks like madison needed a date nick u shoulda called me i coulda kept her company but epic triple tails man what a monster that one was i was looking forward to clean and cook nick and hopefully its on the next episode much love god bless stanz fam!
I keep 3 nets on board, the main one, a folding one under the deck and a backup. 3 is 2, 2 is 1, 1 is none. That shrimp net is 1/2 of one lol. Good video though, fun!
Amazing video as always. Beautiful sunset for sure and awesome Drone shots. I always love your content and your quality is amazing. Thank you for sharing Nick & Sarah and your quests. It looked like a lot of fun and good eating. ❤
Aloha. I agree on good quality sunglasses. I’m a hobie guy myself. Polarized, glass, been wearing the same pair for twenty years. Hawaii, Alaska, and California. Great on the water, and just in general. I’m 61, and I need reading glasses now, but otherwise my eyesight is great. I attribute that to good quality sunglasses.
I cannot fathom what the bugs had to be at dusk!! I have been mangled off cape Sable and Flamingo while in the boat during the day!!! Cape Sable is also home to the biggest Bull Shark I've ever seen!!!
We are hoping to do the same trip in Feb. Did gullivan key in 10000 islands a few yrs back and was great. In tavernier so gonna make the run to cape and see how it goes. Did you do east or middle cape sable?
I've actually tried recommending they go to 10,000 a year or two back...I've heard it's a "winter only" or after a cold snap trip because that's the only time the bugs die down. But the fishing potential, hopping between islands just exploring, looked very cool. Definitely a trip I'll be making soon!
@chris6054 it was our first camping trip for my 9yr old at the time. Area was perfect and did a lot of research with the extreme tidal changes. Posted a few vids on here (gullivan island) but I highly reccomend. We had the whole island to ourselves. Bugs were pretty bad even in spring break of March but bug spray was our friend. First night wad a little rough as winds picked up to about 30mph which made for a sleepless night. Still an awesome trip and ready to try cape sable this time since its a little closer. Should be about 1.5hrs from tavernier if I don't stop and try for tripletail!
So Nick have you ever had a group all mount the same fish???? Makes for a great day 😂 we caught a Blue one about 200 one day and all 6 dudes mounted it and a 30 pound Bull six ways as well. Immortalized to Kentucky via Pompano Beach via Key West 😂😂 Hey I can write that Tripetail up for you guys?,😂😂
@StanzFam we don't do alot of it but they brought it up and I broke out the special priceless 🤣🤣 we have some dudes down this way that are just gross with it and I can't do it
Ok I found lion fish called girl crush the lobsters with blue nomads. Only one fish I saw but lots of lion fish with Scott and his son miles and lots of lobsters miles first. With Gabe and deer meat they get there's with tanks usually deeper water took me 3 years of looking on to next vid
@@StanzFam good deal. I’ve flown over that stretch multiple times going from Miami to the Keys. Wanna see if they’ll let me land a helicopter on the bigger part of the beach to overnight…
We submit a tag and release card with a number that correlates to the tag. The billfish foundation is the organization we work with , and they keep all the data
Did yall see any rats on the island. Last time we were down in the keys we camped out on an island way away from everything and after the sun went down I shined a spotlight back in the brush and there was litteraly thousands of rats looking back at us. They were fighting all night low and a couple came up and nibbled on the tent. Not alot of sleep like you.
Sometimes if we can’t safely remove the hook we leave them in the fishes mouth. We catch lots of sharks with multiple hooks in their mouth so it does not cause major health issues for them, think about it like a little lip piercing. Also some sharks shake hooks out when they start corroding
Sounds like fun right? EXCEPT, for one very important thing. Be very very carefull as for the time of year you try to do that. There is no place on earth having more mosquitos than the Everglades.
@@StanzFam Well count me in for a few if it ever happens. I’ve got a whole pile of Penn and love supporting the channel too, thanks for the great content!
So, A. I enjoyed your hair and tache a lot. B. What an amazing place to stay. C. Why do Americans waste so much fish with the filleting??? Cook whole or butterfly and get busy. Fear no bones my friend.
The mullet is looking majestic indeed! "Wind-swept and interesting," to quote Billy Connolly
Nothing better than a camping trip on an island!
🙌🏻

Those triple tails don’t seem like the smartest fish in the sea. Looked like a great trip thanks for sharing
what are we doing in connecticut??? I went skiing yesterday, had a blast... another round of snow for friday.. loving it!!! great video nick!!
Hahaha awesome! Landon (cameraman) is from Connecticut as well so it’s an ongoing joke when we are out fishing and what not
@@StanzFam no kidding?? imagine that!! i luv the winters here for skiing.. then fishing for spring and summer. ⛷⛷
Just did a 3 day camp/fish trip east of the ENP, great times!
Awesome!
Awesome trip, that's what life is about enjoying yourselves,,,, and gotta say you might wanna find a tackle store foe a landing net,,,,,
Nice triple tails Nick ! Awesome time catching some sharks while camping. 💪
Thanks 👍
Jealous of y'all this time of year. Still too cold here in Charleston! Would love to be doing just what y'all did! Awesome video!
Thanks for watching!

There were some for sure! But I have seen worse
To start off love the content A one
.quick question what type of boat you got
Thanks for watching. This is a 28 Freeman
Monster Triple Tail!
What's that black fillet kife you always use? You should show us how you sharpen it. The bad boy looks razor sharp.
Great video!
Where do you keep finding Madisons? I was missing the old one, and this one showed up.
Blue Runners are excellent sashimi! No lying. Just like Porgis make great sandwiches 😊
🙌🏻
Badass boat 👍
10:38 love it ❤
Great vid.
Great video
Thanks!
Sheepshead are one of the best eating inshore fish!
Noted!

Triple tail goofin!
🙌🏻
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
I seen some huge crocodiles there! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
🐊
Nick, I'm surprised you didn't find the lean-to that Bean and Astrid live under on that island. He's really taking care of her after the marriage. 🤣
All that storage space on the boat and no full time net? A bait net and yeti bucket can’t cut it lol. Love the content.
Haha we always seem to forget something 🙃
Did you pickup a backcountry permit? Last time I checked you need a permit to camp on Cape Sable
Yes 👮🏻
NICE !!!!
Thanks!!
Awesome😍
Thanks 👍🏻
Amazing
Next time take me with you 😂😂
🙌🏻
Camping only.way to go
It was fun!
Should have put a hook in that blue runner their hood Covina bait
You gotta leave those guppy nets at home. Lol
Shrimp net for the livewell*
But we will have a bigger landing net next time for sure
That shark is going to get home with a piercing 😂
I'm sorry..I just about peed my pants when you netted a sheepshead with a bait net!
😜. When we caught the Tripletail we really could have used a bigger net 😳
Cheers
Madison ❤

6 mounts off one fish is epic!!! I haven’t ever done that 👊🏻
@StanzFam 6 mounts off 2 fish the Blue and the Bull 12 total on a 3/4 Day 🤣🤣🤣
@StanzFam we don't do alot of it but they brought it up and I broke out the special priceless 🤣🤣 we have some dudes down this way that are just gross with it and I can't do it
finally smth new

This is my dream
Did you sell this boat for the 28? Or you have both now?
This is the 28 we got October 2023.
However it is for sale at the moment
How were the bugs? Heard they’re pretty bad out there
It was cool out so not horrendous but was some still. I am sure when it’s warmer it’s really bad
@@StanzFam good deal. I’ve flown over that stretch multiple times going from Miami to the Keys. Wanna see if they’ll let me land a helicopter on the bigger part of the beach to overnight…
When you tag small sword fish you say people will know how big he was when you tagged it but how never seen you measure ?
We can guess them within a couple inches usually.
But do have to make a report to someone or place not sure how all that works
We submit a tag and release card with a number that correlates to the tag. The billfish foundation is the organization we work with , and they keep all the data
Thank you sir that explains that and where's the new vid. What happened to those ravens
❤
🙂
14:18, why?

Sounds like I’ll have to bring my cat if I ever camp there!
We didn’t see any rats, good to know for next time
Wow😢😮😅😊3 sharks in a couple hours, food for 2 for a year????
Geez Nick, I kinda started to drift off. Could you talk a little faster?😛
My man loves to talk
🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Yeah cause I want him to talk like a sloth, stfu
Haven’t seen Bean with you in a long time?
He got his own charter boat and is running out of a different marina now. He has his TH-cam channel going as well
why do you leave the hook in the first sharks mouth, that causes major health issues for them.
Sometimes if we can’t safely remove the hook we leave them in the fishes mouth. We catch lots of sharks with multiple hooks in their mouth so it does not cause major health issues for them, think about it like a little lip piercing. Also some sharks shake hooks out when they start corroding
DO YOU SHIP TO MEXICO

Two hot babes on a boat. Life is good 😎
Wow 25 , 4 inch thick shark steaks, food for 5 for 2 weeks!!!😂😢😮😅
You need a bigger net.
For sure
I thought the same lol
Why not collaborate with Penn to make your rods, they’re already a sponsor?
We tried to do a signature series a few years back but it didn’t work out. Maybe one day in the future if I can’t get production worked out myself
@@StanzFam Well count me in for a few if it ever happens. I’ve got a whole pile of Penn and love supporting the channel too, thanks for the great content!
